Buckle up, cause you are about to embark on an epic journey full of bizarre planets, deadly aliens, and galactic intrigue... or something like that. Spectre 001 is a real-play podcast showcasing the adventures of five friends playing a science fiction RPG
While your adventurous GM, Joe, is out on vacation, the rest of the boys take some time to reflect on the story so far.
The gang is short one member as they clear the aftermath of the destruction of Oúvveckk. They quickly run into some new friends who end up being more foul that they would have liked.
As CLARK tries to escape the destruction of his home planet, he thinks back to all the things that led him to where he is today.
The gang has started their fight with Violent Matter, and they find a way to deal with the Spectre 001 that has been unleashed upon the planet.
Well, it finally happened. Violent Matter caught up to CLARK.
Now that they are on the planet of Oúvveckk, CLARK shows the gang around a bit. They run into some of CLARK's old "friends", none of whom are happy to see him.
The gang is on Oúvveckk after their adventures on Basura Prime. CLARK leads the way as they delver deeper and deeper into this very strange planet.
The gang finally leaves Basura Prime and makes their way to CLARK's homeworld, Oúvveckk. Once there they catch up with some strange people that CLARK is in debt to.
The gang is still on Basura Prime, and John, CLARK, and Reggie have promised to have dinner with Reggie's family. Meanwhile, Gauge work's with the Wurmel scientists to figure out exactly what Dr. Frank is made of.
The gang continues to investigate Dr. Frank, not trusting him until he reveals exactly who or what he is. Reggie meets up with his family for the first time in a long while.
While on Reggie's home planet the gang meets up with Garbanzo von Bjean, local legend. They then interrogate Dr. Frank some more.
Reeling from their nearly deadly encounter with Violent Matter, the gang arrives at Reggie's home planet of Basura Prime.
CLARK's past actions have finally caught up to him, and the ship is being attacked until he pays his debt. The rest of the gang also finds a new passenger aboard the ship.
Now back on the ship, the gang battles with the mysterious substance. Later, an old foe makes a return. Highly listenable.
The gang has been stranded on the Orion Deep Space Telescope, and there's some really weird stuff going on. Gauge learns more about the black fog just before things really pop off.
An offer has been made by the Grand Chancellor for the gang to investigate what happened at the Orion Deep Space Telescope. If they do so, they will gain their freedom, but is that freedom worth enduring what they will find on the telescope?
While on the run, the gang goes up against nearly everything the UGSF has, and Reggie makes the decision to stop the madness and come quietly. The gang is arrested and brought before a judge with their whole future on the line.
On the way to John, CLARK, and Gauge's court hearing, Reggie made the daring move to crash the prisoner transport they were all riding in. Reggie continues to try and free his friends, and tensions continually escalate as they try and get off the Regisphere.
John and CLARK were super incredibly annoying to the two interrogation officers that had been trying to get information out of them. During this exchange, Reggie managed to convince one of the officers to let him help with the interrogation as the Wild Card Cop.
Despite their best efforts, John, Gauge, and CLARK all have been arrested by the UGSF. Somehow Reggie managed to avoid being captured, which gave him the opportunity to kill and necrodrive the UGSF officer who had been guarding Becce. Now it's Reggie's job to find a way to free his friends and escape the Hourglass.
So the heist didn't go exactly as planned. The gang faces the consequences of their actions, and Reggie hatches a plan to get them all out of this.
The gang is in the middle of a daring heist to recover a stolen hard drive for their new friend, Becce Righte. John, Reggie, and Gauge are working their way through the upper levels of the Hourglass with the help of Z. CLARK is on the ground floor doing his best to cause trouble and create a distraction.
The time has come for the gang to finally fulfill their promise to help Becce recover her missing hard drive. Final preparations are made, and the gang meets the mysterious Z before they make their way to the Hourglass.
Now that they have decided to help Becce Righte, the gang starts to prepare to recover the missing hard drive. CLARK and Reggie buy some modifications for the Wurmcopter, and Gauge has a heart to heart with Becce.
The gang recently met Becce Righte, a woman who desperately tried to recruit our four heroes to help uncover some kind of conspiracy. Not sure of Becce's intentions, the gang is deciding exactly what to do with this information.
The gang has found their way to the civilized center of the galaxy, the Regisphere. They begin their quest to find Ben Bailey and exact Reggie's revenge, but it isn't long before things get a little sidetracked.
Still licking their wounds after the encounter on OCN802080, the gang spends some quality time on the ship getting to know each other better. They eventually arrive at the political, cultural, and financial center of the galaxy, The Regisphere.
The gang has found themselves orbiting planet designation OCN802080. They picked up a distress beacon coming from the surface of the planet, and they make their way to the surface to regroup before the next adventure.
CLARK has his showdown with Violet Matter, and the gang finally, FINALLY finds a way off of this *redacted* of a planet. Things quickly go awry on their way to the next adventure.
So, Reggie is a Wurmel, and the gang figures out how to deal with that. Gauge helps the Wanghili find a new home, and CLARK returns to the Setting Suns' base.
The group reconvenes to discuss their plans and hopefully squash some beef. However, someone reveals a secret that changes everything...
There's been some weird stuff going on with the group, stuff that isn't, well, normal. The gang starts to piece together the mystery under Wellhead, and they get ready to leave this *redacted* of a planet.
In their "new" ship, Reggie, Gauge, and John return to Wellhead to help the native Wanghili. Now working with the Setting Suns, CLARK makes preparations for his new assignment.
By a stroke of pure luck, John, Gauge, and Reggie are now in possession of a space ship, and they start to get acquainted with their new accommodations. CLARK is taken to the Setting Suns base where he has a meeting with an old adversary.
After selling his Oúvveckkian energy, CLARK picks a fight with John, and the two end up getting the authorities called on them. Afterwards, Reggie makes an awfully convenient discovery.
While CLARK's attempt to seduce Charlie Brightstar wasn't necessarily successful, he did manage to sell his Oúvveckkian solar energy to the casino mogul. Then the gang decides to unwind with a concert, but things don't go exactly as planned.
After Reggie's incident at the Mon Minu trading center, Gauge and John try to help him stay out of sight of the authorities. CLARK finally meets someone who is willing to buy his energy, and let me tell you, things get weird.
Mon Minu is the largest city in the sector, and it is full of people interested in our intrepid "heroes". And that was before Reggie did something stupid. Now even more people are interested.
The gang is on there way to the nearby city of Mon Minu, but they have to get through the dangerous Wanghili Cliffs first.
After their scuffle over ownership of CLARK's cruiser, the gang tries to figure out what is going on with the aliens in Wellhead and what they need to do to get off of Moog.
After an explosive encounter at the Setting Sun's base, the group finds each other in the abandoned village of Wellhead. I suppose things could have gone worse?
Somewhere in the galaxy is the desert planet of Moog. It's harsh, arid, and four jabronis just arrived. It really is a miserable place.
