College Football is back and welcome to Y-Option's week 1 show! I was in the booth for USC's opener against San Jose State. Yes, it was hot. So was Jayden Maiava as he played with elite command. The highly touted freshmen for the Trojans also met the moment. And one small detail stood out to me, worth flagging if you're a special teams fan early in today's show.I also dove into Oregon's game vs Boise State. I'm doubling down: the Ducks are one of the top two teams in the country as we approach week 1.Speaking of top two, Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and Nico Iamaleava are two of the best quarterbacks in the nation, and both play on the West Coast this Saturday night. That's what makes Cal vs. UCLA a must-watch: two elite QBs and the debut for two new head coaches. After calling Eastern Illinois at Minnesota Thursday night, I'm flying to Seattle to meet Paul Burmeister. This week on the Midwest Flyways Podcast, Joey and Cal sit down with Shawn Stahl at Game Fair for a wide-ranging conversation about how waterfowl hunting has changed, what makes a great hunter, and why some of the best days in the field have nothing to do with shooting a limit. Shawn shares his thoughts on the changing landscape of freelance hunting in Canada, including outfitter competition, field access, and why the Canadian prairies may be one of the last places where duck hunters can still scout, knock on doors, and hunt the old-fashioned way. The guys also dive into how geese adapt to hunting pressure, why less calling can sometimes be more effective, and how tactics continue to cycle as birds become conditioned. The conversation shifts into waterfowl conservation, declining duck production, habitat loss, predation, domestic mallards, and what hunters can actually do to help put more ducks on the landscape. Shawn also reflects on how his own approach to hunting has evolved—from chasing limits and big groups to appreciating smaller hunts, good friends, new places, and simply being outdoors. To wrap things up, Shawn offers a simple piece of advice for improving the waterfowl community: just be nice. Whether it's another hunter at the boat ramp, someone on public land, or a newcomer asking for advice, there's a lot more to gain by helping each other than fighting over birds and hunting spots. Topics Covered: •Freelance waterfowl hunting in Canada •Outfitters and access to hunting fields •Hunting pressure and changing goose behavior •Shawn's waterfowl hunting bucket list

Oregon football is deep into fall camp, and the latest episode of the Autzen Audibles Podcast dives into several of the biggest storylines surrounding the Ducks as the season draws closer.Matt Prehm and Erik Skopil begin with Oregon's backup quarterback competition and where things currently stand behind Dante Moore. With Dylan Raiola among the quarterbacks battling for the No. 2 job, the Ducks have an intriguing decision to make regarding who they trust to step onto the field if needed this fall. From there, the discussion moves to one of the most talked-about position groups on Oregon's roster: the defensive line. The Ducks have generated plenty of buzz about their depth throughout camp, but how much of that hype should fans believe? Matt and Erik break down what they've heard, what they know about the personnel and whether Oregon legitimately has enough bodies to overwhelm teams up front. The third segment examines Dan Lanning's comments following Oregon's recent scrimmage. Balls were on the ground, special teams had miscues and the quarterbacks were challenged to make smarter decisions. At the same time, players apparently weren't satisfied with the day's work and wanted to run afterward. What should fans actually take away from those comments? Finally, the show closes with the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. Iverson Hooks and Jamari Johnson made the cut, while Jeremiah McClellan, Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart did not. Matt and Erik discuss whether that makes sense and which Oregon pass catchers could ultimately emerge as the Ducks' biggest threats in 2026.(1:53) Oregon Back Up QB Battle(17:47) Is the Hype Real on Oregon's DL Depth?(29:26) What we make of scrimmage comments (balls on the ground, special teams miscues, the team wanting to run after the scrimmage, QBs needing to be more smart, etc)(38:18) Oregon receiver Iverson Hooks and Tight End Jamari Johnson were named to the 2026 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, but Jeremiah McClellan, Dakorien Moore, and Evan Stewart were not. In this episode of Ten Minute Tuesday, we dive into the surprising legal battle that helped shape modern waterfowl hunting in America. The story begins in 1914 with an Arkansas hunter, a few coots, and a federal government attempting something brand new: regulating migratory birds across state lines. What started as a relatively small hunting violation quickly turned into a much bigger constitutional question—who actually has the authority to protect a duck that refuses to stay in one state? The episode follows the early Weeks-McLean Act, the court cases that challenged federal waterfowl regulations, and the confusion hunters faced when state and federal seasons didn't agree. After federal judges ruled the original approach unconstitutional, the government changed strategies entirely. That eventually led to an international migratory bird treaty, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918, and the Supreme Court's landmark Missouri v. Holland decision. It's a fascinating look at how duck hunting regulations, states' rights, conservation, and even international diplomacy became connected through the birds traveling America's flyways. If you've ever sat in a duck blind and wondered why migratory bird regulations are federal in the first place, this history lesson explains how we got here—and how a handful of hunters and court cases helped build the waterfowl conservation system we still hunt under today. It's a packed afternoon edition of The Rush Hour Podcast as Donald Trump pulls a bizarre disappearing act—ducking out of Air Force One while seemingly using a crowd of reporters as a decoy. What exactly was he trying to avoid? Then, the Mitch McConnell saga gets even uglier as his supporters mock journalists who are simply trying to get answers and seek the truth. We break down the outrage, the evasions, and why asking basic questions has apparently become controversial. Plus, Trump sets his sights on Zohran Mamdani, ramping up his attacks on socialism as Mamdani's political profile continues to grow. Is the anti-socialism playbook still effective, or is Trump fighting a political battle from another era? And finally, Jared Kushner takes an L on Sazan Island. We break down what happened, what Kushner wanted, and why the controversial project appears to have hit a major roadblock. Four stories. Plenty of chaos. It's the afternoon edition of The Rush Hour Podcast.
