She never thought of herself as sensitive—just practical, cautious, and aware of her surroundings. But growing up as the daughter of a pastor who quietly performed exorcisms left marks she didn't recognize at the time. Certain rooms felt heavy. Certain places demanded escape. And sadness followed her long before she understood why.Years later, after getting sober, she realized something unsettling: the despair, the crushing cold, and the urge to drink all returned in one specific place—her home. On deployment, surrounded by routine and people, she felt clear and stable. At home, the cold waited. It moved with her. Watched her. Fed on isolation and weakness. When objects began moving—lifted, not tipped—she understood it wasn't a haunted house or cursed antiques. Those items had only given something permission to lean closer. The truth was harder to face: whatever lingered wasn't interested in walls. It was interested in her boundaries. And once she stopped feeding it fear, exhaustion, and escape—the cold began to lose its grip.#TrueParanormal #SpiritualAttachment #SobrietyAndTheSupernatural #UnexplainedExperiences #ParanormalAwareness #HauntedObjects #RealGhostStories #EntityAttachment #TrueGhostStory #Boundaries Love real ghost stories? At twenty years old, she already knew most people wouldn't believe her. Her story started in her grandmother's 1900 house in Kelso, Washington—a place where ghost stories weren't entertainment, they were warnings. Her father once heard running footsteps and chains outside his bedroom. Later, a photo revealed something impossible: a strange young boy beside her little brother, wearing what looked like shackles. Her grandmother insisted the picture be burned. While the adults watched her brother, she was left alone—and she began noticing things no one else could. She woke at 3 a.m. like clockwork. She saw shadows with red eyes. A girl appeared on her bed and stared back with the same eyes. When the family finally moved, she thought it would end… but the activity didn't care about addresses. She later realized: one presence had rules. It's 2026, and the more things change, the more they stay the same. We start off with a new Hearthstone gatcha promotion, and follow it up with yet another splinter version of WoW Classic -- this time, WoW Classic Anniversary is splitting into WoW Classic Burning Crusade Anniversary and WoW Classic Classic Era Anniversary. Legion Remix is definitionally a rehash, but it's coming to an end relatively soon. But it's not all old news! Immediately thereafter is the Midnight pre-patch, with a lot of new events and features, and a prepatch event. A new Diablo 4 expansion was just announced with a release date in the new year as well, even if it sounds very similar to the previous one, even if it does add Paladins. We also talk about all the new games we're looking forward to in 2026.Plus, since Cory was a cohost, there was another edition of the Heroes of the Storm hopium corner. When she was three, her mother often heard her talking quietly on the upstairs landing. Not playing—conversing. Her daughter spoke calmly, thoughtfully, as if answering questions. When asked who she was talking to, she replied simply: the lady on the landing. The woman was described as a teacher. Kind, but strict. Someone she respected. Then the conversations stopped—and something else began.By the time she was eight, the landing felt heavy. Lights there never worked. Fear replaced familiarity. One night, she woke at 3:32 a.m. to a sudden, bone-deep cold and saw a tall, black figure hovering near the doorway. When it returned every Sunday night, always at the same hour, she learned the difference between fear and intrusion.Looking back, she realized something unsettling: the childhood companion and the later presence were not the same. On today's episode of Sports Cards Nonsense, Mike and Jesse dive deep into the current state of the card market to answer a burning question: Are we experiencing another high-end bubble? Mike brings the data, comparing current sales of iconic "GOAT" cards like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Mickey Mantle against their peak prices during the 2020-2021 COVID boom. Later, Jesse doubles down on his Carolina Panthers take. After claiming Bryce Young still has potential, Mike challenges him to put his money where his mouth is. Plus, the guys discuss Upper Deck's major announcement regarding NHL Rookie Debut Jersey cards and how they compare to Topps' recent innovations. BULLETIN PODCAST: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN The Trump Administration has begun its shooting war, its reign of terror, against the peaceful and unarmed citizens of the United States. A woman is dead in Minneapolis, killed by ICE, reportedly a legal observer during a raid in a local neighborhood. In one statement, ICE claimed the victim was trying to run over an agent; in another it claimed an agent HAD been run over. Neither claim is true. Multiple videos show without a shadow of a doubt that this is a lie. As a car – which was not even blocking a street - moves out of the way of an ICE vehicle, a militia member exits HIS car, approaches the victim’s car from the back and the side, and shoots the driver three times through the driver's window. Reportedly in the face. The shooter is clear of the vehicle. Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis has told ICE to "get the f***" out of Minneapolis. Minnesota governor Tim Walz has taken a preliminary step towards mobilizing his national guard, issued a so-called “warning order” to the Minnesota National Guard – as he termed it, a “heads up” to its members that he may call up the Guard. This week Joe and Matt are answering another listener question, this time concerning Paladins, and how they serve as an intersection between the divine Light, and the Titans who shaped Azeroth. As you might imagine, the answer will span the cosmos, and go completely off the rails in the process. Paladins in particular serve as a mash-up between some Light power and Titanic power -- does that mean a Titan of the Void could occur? There's a lot of ground to cover, some of which will take us into Midnight and what may happen as we start to make our way toward the final act of this trilogy. But you can count on one thing: an Odyn mention means he gets called a jerk again. We don't make the rules. If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

"Pretend he doesn't know that he's the reason why you're drowning." This week we're exploring Shakespeare's "Hamlet" through Taylor Swift's lens, diving into the psychological depths of revenge, agency, and the fate of being a silenced woman. From the “Real Housewives of Shakespeare” (yes, really) to the drowning weight of societal expectations, we unpack how Taylor uses one of literature's most tragic figures to explore modern questions about independence, relationships, and female agency. She grew up terrified of the dark—but not in the way most children are. Certain rooms in her childhood home felt wrong. Footsteps echoed on the stairs when no one was there. Doors opened on their own. A wardrobe creaked open again and again, as if something inside refused to stay hidden. The house, built in the mid-1800s near Lake Erie, carried a history no one talked about. Years later, she learned it had once been an undertaker's home—bodies stored in the basement before burial. When the house mysteriously burned down on Christmas morning, she felt an unexpected sense of relief. But distance didn't bring peace. During college, terrifying episodes of sleep paralysis began—episodes where she heard three distinct voices mocking her regrets, laughing at her fear, and pressing down on her body as if something physical had taken hold. One voice felt familiar. Almost comforting. Until she told it to leave. But distance didn't bring peace.During college, terrifying episodes of sleep paralysis began—episodes where she heard three distinct voices mocking her regrets, laughing at her fear, and pressing down on her body as if something physical had taken hold. One voice felt familiar. Almost comforting. Until she told it to leave. Some places don't let go.#TrueGhostStory #HauntedHouse #SleepParalysis #ParanormalExperience #RealGhostStories #HauntedLand #ShadowVoices #MidnightEncounters #Unexplained #TrueParanormal Love real ghost stories? He doesn't know when it started — only that it has happened often enough to be undeniable. Since childhood, he has seen the same figure appear in different places, years apart, without warning. It doesn't whisper. It doesn't chase. It doesn't leave marks or signs. It simply appears — fully formed, impossibly tall, and completely black — before vanishing as if it was never there at all. The encounters don't follow patterns. They happen indoors and outdoors, in private homes and public spaces, near people and far from them. Sometimes witnesses are nearby. Sometimes they aren't. The only constant is the figure itself — unchanged, silent, and precise. There are no warnings before it shows itself. No sense of being watched. No creeping dread. Only the instant, overwhelming certainty that what you're seeing does not belong in the world you understand. Some encounters escalate. This one never does. And that may be the most disturbing part of all. #Ghosts #RealHaunting #ParanormalExperience #ShadowFigure #Unexplained #TrueParanormal #CreepyEncounters #EntitySightings #ScaryStories #UnsolvedMystery Love real ghost stories? Happy New Year! Jim and Greg return to their regular format on the 3 Martini Lunch and kick off the year with some massive stories. They break down the stunning U.S. military operation to arrest illegitimate Marxist Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announcing he will not seek a third term as his government is engulfed in scandal, and what President Trump wants to happen next in Venezuela and whether the remaining government will cooperate. First, they are blown away by the jaw-dropping speed, precision, and execution of the U.S. military mission that captured Maduro and his wife early Saturday in Caracas. Jim and Greg explain why the extraordinarily high level of difficulty sends a powerful message to America's adversaries worldwide, and why no one should feel a shred of sympathy for Maduro after years of repression, corruption, and brutality.Next, they welcome the news that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will not seek a third term as his administration sinks under the weight of a massive state welfare fraud scandal. Jim reminds us that a lot of information was already known about this scandal even before Kamala Harris picked Walz as her running mate. And they consider how the political chairs will shift in Minnesota based on this decision. Finally, they consider what comes next in Venezuela after the capture of Maduro. Jim gives us very unpleasant briefing on the new Venezuelan leader and considers whether the Trump administration can get her to do what it wants done there. Please visit our great sponsors:Visit https://CoastPay.com/3ML to get free gas for a whole day. In this episode of The Other Side of Midnight, Lionel breaks down the "hinky" business behind the United States' move on Venezuela's Maduro, questioning if the mission was about drug enforcement or a grab for oil,,. He pivots to a high-stakes history lesson, dismantling the myth that the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation by citing the Treaty of Tripoli and the 1950s origins of "One Nation Under God",,. Finally, Lionel tackles the "house rules" of the Catholic Church, schooling callers on why priestly celibacy was more about protecting church property than divine decree. Join Lionel on The Other Side of Midnight for a provocative masterclass in political realism and constitutional law. In this episode, Lionel dissects the recent military operation to remove Nicholas Maduro in Venezuela, challenging the popular narrative that such actions are unconstitutional without a formal declaration of war. Moving beyond "bumper sticker" politics, he explores why international relations are governed by power rather than morality, the historical precedent of presidential force, and why the Constitution was designed for executive speed and secrecy. It's a blunt, didactic look at global reality, "sweet" Venezuelan oil, and why, in a world of anarchy, there is no 911 for nation. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Dive into the legal, historical, and geopolitical rabbit hole with Lionel on The Other Side of Midnight. From the Monroe Doctrine and the arrest of Maduro to the myths of Pope Joan, this episode dismantles "cutesy" worldviews and replaces them with the cold reality of power politics. Lionel takes on callers over NATO's borders, Islamic law, and the Treaty of Tripoli, proving that when it comes to the law, history, and common sense, most people just make it up. It's entertaining, informative, and designed to help you understand what the heck is actually going on. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Step into the late-night intellectual fray with The Other Side of Midnight with Lionel. In this episode, Lionel dissects the "crude" reality of Venezuelan oil, the aggressive roots of neoconservatism, and the modernization of the Catholic Church. From a caller's 1967 Corvette analogy for foreign policy to a deep dive into why "liberals mugged by reality" shaped global dominance, the show challenges mainstream media narratives from Newsmax to Al Jazeera. Whether debating if the entire Bible is read during Mass or analyzing Donald Trump's "condo deal" approach to diplomacy, Lionel offers a provocative, unfiltered look at power, religion, and the "living, breathing" documents that govern our lives. Michael and Jess talk about the horror! We start with a little on The Menu and A Ghost Story for Christmas, then a little more on Ted Naifeh's first Courtney Crumrin volume, The Night Things, and then a lot on Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell's From Hell and Jack the Ripper in general. That finishes our 2025 of horror comics, so we also talk about our focus for 2026.

She has always been afraid of the dark — not in a way that fades with age, and not in places where fear can be explained. The darkness that unsettles her feels deliberate, as if it knows where to wait. And nowhere has it ever felt stronger than the house where she grew up. Even now, decades later, walking through that property at night feels different. The fear doesn't chase her when she travels. It doesn't follow her into other cities. It stays anchored to the land — to certain corners of the yard, to the orchard behind the house, to spaces that seem to remember her. Over the years, strange moments piled up. Unexplained panic. Silent phone calls. Figures seen in the dark. A dog reacting to something no one else could see. Some encounters felt threatening. Others strangely calm. One visitation brought reassurance instead of fear — raising questions she never expected to ask. This is the story about what happens when someone finally stops running from the dark — and realizes the haunting may not have the power they once believed it did. #Ghosts #HauntedHouse #RealHaunting #ParanormalExperience #FearOfTheDark #Unexplained #GhostStories #TrueParanormal #CreepyEncounters #HauntedLand Love real ghost stories? Some fears don't arrive with a reason. They don't announce themselves with shadows or screams. They simply show up one day — and never quite leave. From his early teens, he carried a deep, unshakable dread of the dark. Not imagination. Not nerves. A feeling that something was closer than it should be. Watching. Waiting. After the loss of his mother, that feeling intensified, bleeding into his sleep, his thoughts, and the quiet moments when he was alone. Then others began to notice things too. Strange sounds in empty rooms. A presence that felt heavier near one particular closet. And most unsettling of all, a small child waking in terror, refusing to open his eyes because he believed something was watching him. Desperate for answers, he was given an explanation that changed everything — one that came with rules, warnings, and the terrifying idea that fear itself might be feeding whatever lingered nearby. This true story isn't about a single haunted house or a moment caught on camera. It's about what happens when belief, grief, and fear begin to blur together — and how difficult it becomes to tell where a real haunting ends and something far more personal begins. #TrueStory #RealHaunting #ParanormalExperience #FearInTheDark #OuijaBoard #PsychologicalHorror #Unexplained #TrueParanormal #HauntedLife #SleepFear #CreepyStories Love real ghost stories? From childhood, she knew something wasn't right—but it wasn't tied to a single haunted house. Wherever she went, the activity followed. Shadows moved without a source. Voices whispered in empty rooms. A little girl's laughter echoed down hallways where no one stood. What began as fear inside a family home slowly became something far more disturbing—a real haunting that reacted to her presence. She saw apparitions others couldn't explain: a Civil War soldier, a silent man in overalls, and a glowing figure that walked straight through walls. Objects moved on their own. Doors closed. A doll was violently thrown from a shelf after she demanded proof. And one night, a dark figure with red eyes sat on her bed. As she grew older, the phenomenon didn't fade—it spread. Jobs became haunted. Coworkers saw figures she never described. Friends' homes changed after she arrived. Even her boyfriend's family began seeing the same ghostly child. Was it a ghost? Something darker? Or a haunting tied to her alone? #TrueGhostStory #RealHaunting #HauntedLife #ShadowFigure #ParanormalExperience #GhostChild #HauntedHouse #SleepParalysis #TrueParanormal #Unexplained #ScaryStories Love real ghost stories?
