We are Cindy and Robby, mom and son, We talk about life philosophies mostly, new episodes occasionally.
Talking a bit about how we all have different perspectives and histories that cause us to think the way we think.
Robby talks ad nauseum about his particular insanities and we talk about trying to look at things truthfully.
Does blame provide any benefit and why do we tend to play the blame game.
We talk a bit about really listening to what people say before we react or respond. And also answer some questions.
Do you have to have your life together before you start trying to do things? Will all of your ducks ever be in a row? Talking about that sort of thing.
Talking a bit about focusing and distraction in the new year.
We talk about the current reality of 2020, why people feel the need to point out other's flaws, how we're all stupid and weak, and answer some listener questions.
We talk a little bit about a theory I have that a lack of motivation is really just a lack of energy.
How little things might have an effect on people you don't even know big and small.
Talking about eating your vegetables to get to dessert.
And how you have the right to decide what is right for you.
Talking about facing facts and reality and being upfront about reality.
We talk a little bit about meat and go in some other random directions.
Finding balance in your life can be tricky. Sometimes you focus on one thing to the detriment of others.
We talk about a lot of things, but mostly, does anything actually matter as much as we think it does?
Kind of a hodge podge episode, we talk about Cindy's trip to Gatlinburg and also talk a little about how breathing is one of the ignored pieces of the health puzzle.
Enjoying the experience rather than focusing on the end result.
What's the most you can do? It's the opposite of "it's the least I can do."
Judgement! Thou shalt be judged! No, just kidding, you won't be judged.
All about why thinking optimistically is just as realistic as thinking pessimistically.
Hobbies and Work. We also just talk about what's going on in our lives these days.
We go in a couple of different directions, but we also address how people become resentful and really hit home on a piece of truth there we think. Also, here is the video we talked about in the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW8amMCVAJQ
Movies. We take a quick tangent this week to talk about some of our favorite movies. And TV shows.
Food. It is quite literally the most important thing we do every day. Well, as far as surviving goes.
Strengths. Should you focus on them or your weaknesses? Also, we answer some questions for each other at the end.
Limitations. What is holding us back? And why do we let it hold us back when it's not real?
Criticism. Sometimes it's hard to handle criticism, and the purpose of it gets lost and it just feels like an attack. This time we break it down as a group with some instructors and students.
Honesty. How can we be more honest more often and why would we want to be?
Conflict. We all have it, we all have to deal with it. What are our hurdles regarding it, and how do we get over them? Here's the (warning: profanity-laden) article I talked about in the podcast: http://inoveryourhead.net/the-complete-guide-to-not-giving-a-fuck/
Purpose. We talk about this a little bit, but mostly just ramble.
Practice. All about how it's the one thing Robby really believes in and how it is at the center of everything you do.
Forgiveness. What is it and how do we give it? And what exactly do we mean by forgiveness?
Habits. How we form them, how we break them, what they are. And a little bit of Robby's bad math.
