This week on the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom explores The Blame Game—our cultural compulsion to assign fault whenever disaster strikes. Prompted by the recent devastating floods in Texas, Mitch reflects on how, particularly in the U.S., tragedy is often met with finger-pointing before empathy or understanding. Is someone always to blame? Or have we forgotten how to accept that some events—natural or otherwise—are simply part of life? Before jumping to conclusions, ask yourself: Am I being too quick to blame? Sometimes the better path is perspective, not punishment. Heritage's Genevieve Wood comments on the NEA breaking with the Anti-Defamation League amid rising antisemitism, warning about Elon Musk's potential third-party run. The IRS ruling on political speech in churches fuels cultural debate in “Kim on a Whim.” The final hour focuses on national security as the Trump assassination attempt anniversary spotlights Secret Service failures and investigation lags. The hosts condemn leftist violent rhetoric, highlighting Chris Cuomo's rare warning and Claire McCaskill's commentator hypocrisy. Tariffs are set to resume August 1 despite pending deals. Antisemitism spikes as the NEA drops the Anti-Defamation League; Netanyahu stands firm against Hamas and praises Trump's Middle East peace legacy. Taylor Riggs explains the Fed's cautious rate strategy amid resilient job numbers and tariff uncertainty, teasing insights on Fort Knox's undervalued gold reserves from Larry Kudlow. The show closes with a critical review of Tucker Carlson's controversial interview with Iran's president, exposing regime lies and real threats to the U.S. and Israel.

It's human nature for each generation to criticize the generation that preceded it, often using them as a convenient scapegoat for all that's wrong in the world. The current large target is my own generation, the Baby Boomers. I recently overheard a group of young people—mid-20s—complaining at length about their belief that the Boomers constitute a waste of flesh who never contributed much to society. Respectfully, I beg to differ; this is my response, along with a plea to ALL generations to think twice about that conclusion.

For more information on how to control your anger, visit angersecrets.com.The blame game is a trap that keeps people locked in negative patterns and arguments. In this episode, anger expert Alastair Duhs explains that while blaming others feels good in the moment, it ultimately damages trust and connection in relationships. Recognising and stopping the blame game is crucial for personal growth and healthier relationships. By practicing self-awareness, empathy and better communication, you can take control of your anger and foster more positive interactions.Key Takeaways: The blame game can trap people in negative emotional patterns and arguments. The first step to breaking the blame habit is self-awareness and ownership of one's actions. Practicing empathy can shift the focus away from blame and foster connection. Communication without blame can lead to healthier conversations and relationships. Blaming others might feel empowering initially, but it ultimately leads to disconnection and hurt. Real strength comes from controlling one's own responses and not blaming others. Sal dives into the ongoing struggles of Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe, debating whether fans and media are to blame for players' underperformance or if the responsibility lies solely with the team's development and the players themselves. Rich from Cornwall argues that constant badgering impacts players, while Sal and other callers insist on accountability, particularly regarding Volpe's declining play and the Yankees' reluctance to send him down to fix his confidence and fundamentals. The discussion highlights a growing frustration among fans with the team's perceived lack of self-awareness and accountability for their shortcomings.

"The Blame Game" – Luke 8:26-39 Sermon by the Rev. Ben Brannan from Sunday, June 22, 2025. "Friends, this moment calls us to something deeper. Something braver. Because we live in a world of scapegoating. A world eager to name enemies so we don't have to name our fears. A world quick to assign blame so we don't have to shoulder responsibility, shoulder any responsibility for our economic instability, our divided communities, our imbalance of power and wealth, our climate disasters, our fragile mental health. "But we must not play along. Who have we chained so we don't have to face our collective anxiety? Whose torment are we tolerating to maintain the illusion of homeostasis? Whose name have we replaced with our fear? And what would happen if we stopped? If we listened? If we asked with compassion, 'What is your name?' and stayed long enough to hear the truth beneath the trauma? What if the ones we've tried to silence are the very ones Jesus sends back to us, clothed and in their right mind, to proclaim what God has done?" Frankie Val and Adel Nero tackle the chaos brewing in New York City as Zoran Kwame Mamdani, a self-described Muslim communist, clinches the Democratic mayoral nomination. With Rich Barris joining the first half of the episode, the hosts analyze what Mamdani's rise signals for the city, the Democrat Party, and the country at large. The discussion dives deep into the role of unchecked immigration, liberal self-loathing, and a cultural death spiral enabled by what they see as suicidal white progressivism. The second half evolves into a generational war of ideas, sparked by listener feedback. The hosts debate the legacy of the Boomer generation, defend critical thinking across all age groups, and highlight how COVID-era homeschooling and independent media are shaping a new, more skeptical youth. From the dismantling of American masculinity to the replacement of Western values with authoritarian imports, this fiery episode is part political commentary, part cultural therapy session, and fully unapologetic.

This podcast episode, hosted by Kikee Doma Bhutia from the University of Tartu, features Nitasha Kaul, Professor of Politics, International Relations, and Critical Interdisciplinary Studies and Director of Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD), University of Westminster, London, UK. The episode focuses on the Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan. The discussion shows how the issue is shaped more by political narratives than by verified facts. Militant attacks, such as the one in Pahalgam, raise questions about accountability, but the governments of both countries often avoid proper investigation and turn instead to blame games and international lobbying. The episode also explores political shifts in India since 2014. It highlights the decline of democratic freedoms, the rise of Islamophobia, and increasing control over dissent. It points out how narratives about women's empowerment are often used for political purposes rather than real change. The conversation underlines the human cost of the conflict, including displacement, violence, and deepening religious divides. Also, about the potential role of international actors, including European and Nordic countries, in supporting human rights and democratic values. It suggests that greater attention to the situation in Kashmir, and the broader democratic developments in the region, could help encourage more inclusive and constructive approaches to long-standing conflicts. Kikee Doma Bhutia is a Research Fellow and India Coordinator at the Asia Centre, University of Tartu, Estonia. Let's talk about something real for a second… If you've ever found yourself feeling unheard, misunderstood, or straight-up overwhelmed by the noise of the world—you're not alone. And this episode? It's for you. Today, I'm diving into the concept of holding space—not just for others, but for yourself. Because the truth is, most of us are so busy reacting that we forget to actually listen. We listen to respond. We interrupt. We rush to fix. And in doing that, we miss the magic. In this episode, I'm unpacking how slowing down, choosing presence, and learning to hold space can radically change the way you show up in your relationships, in your business, and in your OWN mind. We're getting into things like: ✨Listening to learn instead of listening to reply ✨Why internal validation > external noise ✨How blame keeps us stuck (and what to do instead) ✨What happens when you stop moving a million miles a minute & actually feel your life again This isn't about perfection. It's about awareness. It's about responsibility. And it's about giving yourself permission to BE—right here, right now. So, take a breath. Let's get grounded. Let's get honest. Let's go there.
