The relationships between your mother, father, sister, or brother are the first relationships we learn to form in our lives. So it is not surprising that these can significantly impact us later in life and even determine how well we develop new connections in the future. Today hosts Kevin Palmieri and Alan Lazaros talk about how much your family can influence you, whether in the way you talk, think, or believe. While you had no choice but to follow your family as a child, as an adult, you now have the means to decide whether or not to take whatever they say with a grain of salt._______________________The best way to track your habits is here! This week I chat with Sarah Grynberg  With her warm, relatable, and personable demeanor, Sarah Grynberg's passions lie in teaching people of all ages how to adopt the habits and strategies of life's greatest leaders – to help them live their most inspired lives. Sarah is the current host and producer of one of Australia's most top-rated self- improvement podcasts, A Life of Greatness. It is here where she's personally interviewed some of the world's biggest celebrities: including Matthew McConaughey, Wim Hof, Jay Shetty, Daniel Ricciardo, Simon Sinek, Sadhguru, Dr Joe Dispenza, Robin Sharma, Dr Gabor Mate, Mark Manson, Tara Brach as well as many others. Through her decades of experience working with some of the world's biggest names, and her own ongoing research studying the lives of the world's most influential people, she has formulated her own blueprint to achieving greatness. Via these practices and techniques, her ultimate goal is to impart this wisdom and knowledge via her talks, podcasts, books & tv to anyone who may need it, so they too can lead their own lives of greatness. Sarah's continual research of great thought-leaders, strategic mindsets, and the practices and habits that cultivate greatness, has led her to create a secondary podcast series, Unlock the Greatness Within. It is here she sheds light on topics like The Power of Kindness, How to Find Purpose, Habits for Achieving Greatness, Stop Caring What Others Think Of You, and Following Your Intuition.   Shownotes: Sarah started her career as a producer on breakfast radio and found that with the long hours, and negative environment, it started to affect her and then question is there something better than this. This led her onto a spiritual path and her delving into self-improvement. Law of Attraction and manifestation is something that led her to create her own podcast and had Hamish Blake and Joe Dispenza in the first season and it grew from there. Sarah talks about the most memorable guests she has had on her podcast. Carla and Sarah discuss playfulness in adulthood. Sarah's definition of happiness is about finding joy within yourself Sarah's routine involves manifestation meditations and vedic chanting and saying the prayer of St Francis. The top things that make Sarah happy is her family, and her friends. Her all time favourite food that she enjoys making is pizza Her all time favourite book that she goes back to in times of need is The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra and has currently finished reading How to be a Triangle by Lily Singh Gratitude through prayer is Sarah's gratitude practice Pearl Jam songs from the nineties is a reflection of her personality The best thing that the listeners can do to support Sarah is to listen to her podcast. I just did a reading with a client who was seeing angel numbers everywhere. It inspired me to talk about them once again. Angel numbers are a way that we can receive loving guidance from the Universe. When you see numbers in succession, or a particular number grabs your attention, then it is usually a sign from your spiritual team. Today I talk about the different angel numbers and how we can use them to give us wisdom and direction in life.   Contact me: Purchase show merchandise https://awaken-your-inner-awesomeness.creator-spring.com/ Join my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/moatman?fan_landing=true https://melissaoatman.com melissaoatman77@gmail 636-748-4943   Download my free eBook on Manifesting  https://mailchi.mp/240e02dfadcf/ebook Download my free checklist Habits of Highly Successful People https://mailchi.mp/b8078533248a/habits-of-highly-successful-people    Join my monthly membership:  https://www.melissaoatman.com/magical-mo   Free Heart Chakra Healing Guided Meditation https://www.melissaoatman.com/landing-page   Purchase my book Beautifully Broken: https://www.audiobooks.com/audiobook/beautifully-broken-the-spiritual-womans-guide-to-thriving-not-simply-surviving-after-a-breakup-or-divorce/459896   https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/beautifully-broken-melissa-oatman/1136174371?ean=9781989579060 https://www.amazon.com/Beautifully-Broken-Spiritual-Thriving-Surviving/dp/198957906X https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/50977070-beautifully-broken   Purchase my book Mindfulness Matters   https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HDSKGGH/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=melissa+oatman&qid=1599159677&sr=8-2   Follow me on social media:   https://www.facebook.com/groups/awakenyourhearttopurpose/ https://www.facebook.com/reikiwithlissa/  http://www.instagram.com/melissaoatman222 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQPtU9hPeEWjbHr62LxuEXA  https://www.twitter.com/MelissaOatman   Donations are not necessary, however, if you feel inclined to donate to my channel through Venmo or PayPal, your energetic gifts are very much appreciated! Saad describes it as helping men age with confidence. Saad is a serial entrepreneur who founded two companies before he founded home. He's completely focused on building mission-driven companies that solve problems that have directly affected him. And he's probably one of the fittest guests I've ever had on the show. His daily routine, from his morning meditation to the way he works out, how he changes the personal trainer he uses every quarter, how he uses everything from an infrared sauna to hyperbaric chamber, is the most intense of anyone I've ever interviewed. In it, we cover Saad's daily health and fitness regimen, from drinking water directly after he wakes up to meditating 10 minutes, two times per day. We talk through all of the equipment he uses, from his infrared sauna to an at home hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Saad shares why he writes down three things he's grateful for every single morning and how that practice shows up when he's burnt out and tired at the end of the day, and being able to remind himself about why he's doing what he's doing.

Your mammal brain controls the chemicals that make you feel good: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphin. These chemicals are released for reasons that don't make sense to our verbal human brain. When you know what these chemicals do in animals, your ups and downs make sense! Our happy chemicals evolved to reward survival behavior, not to make you feel good all the time. Each happy chemical has a special job. When it turns on, it paves neural pathways that turn it on more easily in the future. That's why we repeat behaviors that we'd rather do without. Fortunately, you can re-wire yourself to stimulate them in sustainable ways. But it's hard. It's like learning a foreign language: it takes a lot of repetition. Yet people do it every day. You can be one of them! You can design a new path to your happy chemicals and repeat it until it's strong enough to turn on easily. The Inner Mammal Institute shows you how.The Inner Mammal Institute has free resources to help you make peace with your inner mammal: videos, blogs, infographics, and podcasts. Success leaves clues, learn to leverage the traits of the greats in this episode as Rob reveals the habits of millionaires, billionaires and the super-rich! Listen in now to learn how you can reverse-engineer what has made them successful, habit by habit. Rob.team Tiny.cc/robsubs KEY TAKEAWAYS  From spending a lot of time with millionaires and billionaires, Rob realised he had pre-conceived notions and judgements about them that were wrong. He had to learn to overcome and unlearn his own preconceptions and judgements. You have to be curious and open to learning from others. The person who is prepared to ask the stupidest question is probably the smartest in the room. Habit number 1 of the rich is that they ask questions. Habit number 2 is that they take full, final and personal responsibility of anything in their business. Millionaires and billionaires spot trends, you need to get in on a trend in the first third of its duration to get the most value from it.  All millionaires and billionaires Rob has met have energy around what they do, they have passion and endurance. The sixth trait is having consistency and persistence balanced. Continual solution to problems is the 7th trait of the super-rich. They see problems as challenges, the challenges that help them evolve. Goals are a fantasy, instead make plans, refine and change the plan as necessary, learning to overcome any challenges. Serving vast amounts of people is yet another trait millionaires, billionaires and the super-rich have in common. Stop playing small and look at things you can scale and leverage to be big!   BEST MOMENTS   “You don't know anyone until you know them but you think you know them because you filter them on your own upbringing and knowledge” “You have to ask; you have to be curious” “When it gets hard, I actually like that, it's disruptive, it's contrarian” “You don't have to be first, you just have to be in the first third” “The more you learn, the more you earn” VALUABLE RESOURCEShttps://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. What Is Our Vantage Point? If you remember the movie “Vantage Point” from 2008, you'll be familiar with the concept that we can't assume to know reasons for other people's actions. In the movie, during an historic counter-terrorism summit in Spain, the President of the United States is struck down by an assassin's bullet. Eight strangers have a perfect view of the kill, but what did they really see? This movie portrays the story from the “Vantage Point” of each eye witness. Although each story has similar components, they differ from their “point of view.” This movie depicts how life can easily be seen from many points of view. There are many things out of our control. Such as who are our parents, what nation or decade we are born into, what our skin color is etc. We all have a mother and a father. We all have a story. We all have unique personal experiences, strengths, weaknesses, personalities, core values etc. So, our perspective can be wildly different from one another. In The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (by Stephen Covey), habit #5 is “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.” Empathetic listening to others compels them to reciprocate that listening model. This leads to greater understanding and communication. It is easier to give grace to others when we understand their point of view, whether we agree with it or not.The other day I was standing behind a lady in the Walmart line that was so angry about not being able to find her credit card that she took it out on me as well as the cashier. Her cuss words made the cashier super responsive and angry (an easily offendable heart). Her cuss words to me made me wonder what her background story had been, what had been troubling her that day, what else was going on inside of her. I wanted to give her a big hug. I felt so sorry for her as I understood her frustration and embarrassment. I haven't been able to locate my credit card before. But that was no reason for offense. I sought to understand her predicament. I was grateful for my journey with an unoffendable heart.God is the only one with a pure and true vantage point. His is an eternal purpose-filled vantage point! We cannot know the heart of another. We probably don't know their story or the pains that drive their behaviors. But we can be slow to anger and quick to forgive even when we don't understand. We can live from a heart of compassion versus a heart that simply chooses offense.May we all consider the vantage point that we are all a work in progress, that we all need love, grace and mercy from others. Let it start with me.Ponder:Consider the fact that an irritating person might be so because of something in their background that you don't understand. Consider that others are a work-in-progress just like you.Prayer:Lord, help me seek first to understand before being understood. Help me to see through Your eyes of mercy, grace and a patient love.

How can we form good habits more effectively? What roles do reward and punishment play in the habit formation process? And what roles should they play? How should we structure our daily schedules around new habits to maximize the likelihood that they'll stick? If our goal is to do 100 push-ups a day, it's often easier to start with 10 and increase the difficulty over time; but at what level of difficulty should we start, and how quickly should we approach the target difficulty? How does willpower connect (or not) with habit formation? Why should we care about animal consciousness? Food Habits Food habits is a topic that comes up frequently in my professional, and personal, life. We see people in the Facebook group posting about eating too much sugar in early sobriety, or that they are eating out of control now that they aren't drinking. Some wonder if they will lose weight, others are scared to quit drinking because they think they'll gain weight. I was there, too. I want to talk to you about food, lifestyle, and being health-minded.  Not necessarily about what to eat and what not to eat, although we will talk about some of that because I know what it's like to want to lose weight so badly, and when someone is making good food choices the first thing I want to do is ask, "What are you eating? What diet are you doing? Are you cutting out carbs?" All of these are normal questions, but what I've learned on my lifestyle journey is those are the least important questions to get stuck on. The conversation I want to have is about how to create positive change in your life that you feel good about. Change that is sustainable and that empowers you, builds your self-esteem, and changes your mindset about your life. And that didn't happen for me when all I focused on was the number on the scale and the increasing size of my love handles. As a part of my membership community, the Sober Society, I am bringing in a new focus on lifestyle. Relationships, feelings, finances, and food. Nutrition & Health Coach, Ellie Stewart, is going to share her knowledge and experience about food myths, how recovery can affect food habits, and she's going to give you a few key activities and choices to focus on if you are ready to start treating your body better. It's not about cleaning out all your cabinets and replacing all the junk food with broccoli. Or, wishing you were the person you thought you were when you bought all those fruits and vegetables at the store only to throw them away when they went bad in the refrigerator. Been there, done that. Many times. This episode is to focus on understanding and making small shifts to feel good about yourself and change your life in positive ways and you're going to get some great tips on how to get that party started without turning your life upside down and stressing yourself out. I really hope as you listen to this episode and hear how I approach this that you decide enough is enough and you are going to figure this out in your own way so this doesn't become something that is holding you back from living the life you want to live. My food habits, eating habits, and weight gain were holding me back from that in a dramatic way until I finally hit my breaking point. Ellie offers some great starting tips, a lot of knowledge and personal experience with food habits, and you can get more of her in the Sober Society membership soon!
