One of the greatest aspects of the Bible is that it tells the stories of real faith of real people—both their successes and failures. Throughout "The God Life" series, we've studied Elijah, a man just like us, showing not just how to live but how to exit this life God's way. Now, Elijah knew exactly when his final day would come. And he's not the only one who had this intel. His successor, Elisha, also knew. And Elijah sowed into the next generation until his final moment on earth. For most of us, we don't know which day will be our last, but we all will eventually exit this life for the next one. As Dr. Adrian Rogers once told me after I completed my term as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, pointing to the exit door, "James, do you see the sign over that door? It says, 'Exit.' Well, that is exactly what you are right now—an 'Ex-It.'" One day, we'll all be an "ex-it," and we need to make sure we exit right. The greatest legacy you will leave is a life well lived.

If you say that someone is "living the good life," you mean they're living in comfort and luxury with few problems or worries. The good life is what our culture celebrates—financial success, personal comfort, and freedom from hardship. But there's something far greater, far more fulfilling, and far more enduring than the good life—it's "The God Life." God wants you to experience the good life by living the God life. It's life lived in the intimate presence of God, made possible through the supernatural power of God, all for the magnificent praise of God. The God life ignites when you're accomplishing the divine purpose God created you for, reflecting His glory in everything you do, and offering His goodness to a broken world that desperately needs it. How do you enter the God life? Learn from a man by the name of Elijah.

Gavin Lubbe - The God Life Is Not Experienced In Discovery But In Possessing by Living Faith Church
A With-God Life The heart of living as a disciple of Jesus is living a with-God life. This is fundamentally what it means to "walk by or with the Spirit" in Galatians 5:16. This is what Jesus taught us when he said "abide in me" (John 15:1-11). This is the remedy for our deepest problems. The devil doesn't always tempt us with things that are obviously evil—sometimes he tempts us with comfort. Wrestling with God involves not compromising in moments of discomfort. It means taking your whole self to the Lord and saying, "I don't know if I can trust you, but I'm going to dig into your word and community to find out." In this episode, Jamie and Heather talk about what it means to wrestle with God, dealing with discomfort, and the power of community. Show notes: In this episode, they mention a message from our series on Ruth. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/bZlag24TP34?si=EQ-IeQI61g5tQyhb They also mention the book Jesus the King by Timothy Keller

We don't often think of God in a position of validating us! Yet, that's what He desires to do. God's way of living is one of having a tender heart toward those less fortunate, and compassion for those who are lonely and forgotten. God doesn't ask for rule keepers. Instead, He looks for those who know love restores hope, covers shame and heals broken hearts. Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. As believers, we have a choice of who we will grow in friendship with—the world or with the Living God. And as incredible as it is to grasp, God wants an intimate friendship with us. Yes, God loves us, but even more profound is that He likes us and wants to spend time with us. In this study, we examine the difference between agapē and phileō love in Scripture and discuss three ways God's friendship with us should affect our lives.
God-life is your perfect life which is hidden in Christ Jesus — living the God-life calls for mountain moving faith. In this faith-filled message, Ps. Tracey shows us how to increase our faith to embrace the God-life.
Join Hugh Ross and Jeff Zweerink as they discuss new discoveries taking place at the frontiers of science that have theological and philosophical implications, including the reality of God's existence. Life on K2-18b? Two months ago the Internet blew up with articles and blogs announcing that astronomers had discovered molecules in the atmosphere of exoplanet K2-18b that only living organisms can produce. Those biosignature molecules were dimethyl sulfide and chloromethane. While there is no doubt that methane was detected in K2-18b's atmosphere and carbon dioxide likely detected, the detections of dimethyl sulfide and chloromethane were marginal at best. Furthermore, astronomers have detected chloromethane in a comet and an interstellar cloud where it is well established that life and life chemistry is impossible, and they found abiotic pathways for the production of dimethyl sulfide. The Internet articles overlooked the physical characteristics of K2-18b and its host star that categorically rule out any possibility of physical life on the planet. References: Carbon-Bearing Molecules in a Possible Hycean Atmosphere Structure and Dynamics of Cold Water Super-Earths: The Case of Occluded CH4 and Its Outgassing Galaxy Formation Models The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has provided numerous images and results that challenge our current models of galaxy formation. Some astronomers have even used this discrepancy to argue against big bang cosmology. A recent paper provides strong evidence for the formation of spiral-type galaxies forming within the first billion years of the universe (where most models predict much longer formation times). We discuss the importance of this data and the implications for how galaxy formation models will change—particularly becoming more complex. Additionally, we expect that this complexity will reveal even more evidence for design in the universe than is now known.
