Have you ever noticed how one quick scroll can turn a perfectly good day into quiet self-doubt?In this episode of Sarah's Thoughts, Sarah Grynberg explores the emotional pull of comparison and why social media can so quickly make us question our progress, our worth, and our timing. She unpacks how comparison isn't a logical process, it's an emotional one, and why knowing something isn't real doesn't stop it from affecting us.You'll learn:Why comparing your reality to someone else's highlight reel creates unnecessary self-doubtHow comparison triggers the belief that you're behind, even when you're growingA powerful reframe that helps you measure progress without self-judgmentThis episode is a reminder that growth isn't loud, linear, or easily measured. It lives in the way you recover faster, speak more kindly to yourself, and keep showing up even when things feel uncertain. Because the real competition was never between you and them. It's always been between who you were and who you're becoming.Purchase Sarah's book: Living A Life Of Greatness here.To purchase Living A Life of Greatness outside Australia here or here.Watch A Life of Greatness Episodes On Youtube here.Sign up for Sarah's newsletter (Greatness Guide) here.Purchase Sarah's Meditations here.Instagram: @sarahgrynberg Website: https://sarahgrynberg.com/Facebook: facebook.com/sarahgrynbergTwitter: twitter.com/sarahgrynberg Hosted on Acast. This message by Elder Mike Gowens, message #10 in the Philippians study, was delivered on Sunday, 1/4/26. It is based on Phi. 1:27-30, a passage in which Paul exhorts the saints at Philippi to make it their priority to live in a way that reflects the gospel they profess. Paul employs three metaphors of discipleship to explain what that means in specific terms.
Jen is joined on the show today by Mitchell Osmond from The Dad Nation. You'll learn the three levers he pulls with clients (Clarity, Community, Coaching), the "Eulogy Exercise" that snaps you into alignment, and how to create safety nets (hello, Iron Five) so you don't slide back into old patterns. Executive Pastor, Dr. Stephen Trammell, shares that the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 reveals how believers can live meaningfully while anticipating Christ's return. God entrusts each person with resources according to their abilities, expecting faithful stewardship rather than fearful inaction. Two servants doubled their investments through wise action, while one buried his talent out of fear and misunderstanding of his master's character. Faithfulness requires both faith and action across all areas of life - finances, relationships, health, and spiritual growth. God will reward those who prove faithful during this time between Christ's first and second coming. Your belief determines where you spend eternity, but your behavior determines how you spend eternity.
Do you believe that you have little control over your health and are destined to be a victim of your environment or genetics? Think again.Joining Sarah Grynberg for their third and first face to face interview is Dr. Bruce Lipton, a stem cell biologist whose ground-breaking research challenges the prevailing narrative of victimhood. From a young age, we have been conditioned to rely solely on doctors and relinquish our power to cultivate a healthy body and mind. But Dr. Lipton's research shows that we possess the capacity to shape our own level of satisfaction and well-being.In this engaging interview, Sarah & Bruce explore how genes don't determine your genetic destiny, how your mind creates coherence between your beliefs and your reality and how to reprogram the negative subconscious programs that we collected while growing up. If you are seeking ways to break free from the limiting belief that you are a victim of your circumstances and wish to unlock your full potential to shape your own physical and mental health, then let this thought-provoking conversation with Dr. Bruce Lipton inspire you to gain a new perspective on your wellbeing and unlock your full potential.Season 10 of A Life of Greatness returns with new episodes on Feb 3.Purchase Sarah's book: Living A Life Of Greatness here.To purchase Living A Life of Greatness outside Australia here or here.Watch A Life of Greatness Episodes On Youtube here.Sign up for Sarah's newsletter (Greatness Guide) here.Purchase Sarah's Meditations here.Instagram: @sarahgrynbergWebsite: https://sarahgrynberg.com/Facebook: facebook.com/sarahgrynbergTwitter: twitter.com/sarahgrynberg Hosted on Acast. Is it possible to truly live a life you love? Join me and Sarah Boots from Faithful & Flourishing as we seek to answer this question based on truths from God's Word. We explore how to build an excellent life—not a perfect one—through intentional choices rooted in faith and wisdom. Drawing from Proverbs 29:18, we discuss the power of a clear vision to give direction and purpose. You'll learn to identify your top 5 priorities, use them as a decision-making filter, and align daily habits with what matters most—through keystone habits, habit stacking, and asking, "What will tomorrow's me thank today's me for?" We also dive into the freedom of simplicity: decluttering your space, schedule, and mind to create margin for family, faith, and rest—because a cluttered life often crowds out what we claim to value. Discover practical steps to live with purpose, avoid burnout, and ensure your time truly reflects your deepest priorities. As we stand at the threshold of a new year, we're challenged to examine whether we're truly growing or simply going through the motions of life. This message centers on the powerful concept of being 'resolute'—having firm determination and unwavering commitment in our spiritual walk.Drawing from 2 Chronicles 16:9, we discover that God's eyes roam throughout the earth searching for those whose hearts are fully resolved, because He wants to pour His strength into people who will actually use it.The message presents twelve biblical resolutions covering every area of life: making our homes places where God is honored, committing to consistent prayer, suffering well while remaining faithful, living free from shame, conquering fear and anxiety, caring for our bodies as temples, pursuing our spouses with renewed passion, guarding our eyes from lust, controlling our tongues, meeting the needs of others, serving in ministry, and giving generously. Each resolution is anchored in specific Scripture, reminding us that transformation doesn't happen by accident—it requires intentional resolve. The question we must ask ourselves is sobering: if someone observed our lives over many years, would they see genuine growth or simply the same patterns and limitations? God is looking for people who will be good investments, who will take His strength and multiply it for His kingdom.

Are you ready to take control of your life and live from greatness? Do you believe that magic is possible? Our guest today is author, coach, and spiritual teacher, William Whitecloud. In 1996, inspired by the momentum of his own self-transformation, William founded a program called Living From Greatness, a personalized course dedicated to empowering participants in discovering and living their authentic nature and expressing their own creative spirit. Today he explains that negative dynamics such as lack of time and money, being affected by outside forces such as the economy, being stuck, and worrying about the future, are purely symptoms of functioning from Low-Level Creativity. The cause of Low-Level Creativity is the belief (conscious or unconscious) that we don't have the power within us to conceive of and manifest our highest fulfillment. William will outline a simple process for taking your power back. William teaches his "Natural Success" program to thousands of clients worldwide and also contributes to social and environmental projects in Africa, for example, supporting vital snakebite anti-venom initiatives in his childhood home country, Eswatini, located in Southern Africa. His books include "The Last Shaman" and "The Magician's Way: What it Really Takes to Find Your Treasure." Info: www.williamwhitecloud.com

In this week's message, guest speaker James Rickershauser leads us through Isaiah 55:1–13, showing how the deep need of every human heart—our hunger for meaning, joy, and fulfillment—is met not by striving or self-made solutions, but by the compassionate call of God to “come to the waters.” From the emptiness of chasing what cannot satisfy, to the Messiah's invitation to receive salvation freely, to the anchor of God's unshakeable promises, Isaiah 55 reveals that true life is found not in what we achieve but in the God who abundantly pardons, restores, and satisfies His people. In the end, Isaiah calls us to stop digging empty wells and to find our lasting joy, hope, and satisfaction in the glory of God alone.
