In the rapidly accelerating world of Artificial Intelligence, the pace of innovation can feel overwhelming. From groundbreaking advancements to the ongoing debate about governance and ethical implications, AI is not just a tool; it's a transformative force. As we race towards super intelligence and navigate increasingly sophisticated models, how do we ensure that human values remain at the core of this technological revolution? How do we, especially in the trust-based nonprofit sector, lead with intentionality and ensure AI serves humanity rather than superseding it? In this episode, Nathan and Scott dive into the relentless evolution of AI, highlighting Meta's staggering $15 billion investment in the race for super intelligence and the critical absence of robust regulation. They reflect on the essential shift from viewing AI adoption as a finite "destination" to embracing it as an ongoing "journey." Nathan shares insights on how AI amplifies human capabilities, particularly for those who are "marginally" good at certain skills, advocating for finding your "why" and offloading tasks AI can do better. Scott discusses his recent AI governance certification, underscoring the complexities and lack of "meat on the bone" in US regulations compared to the EU AI Act. The conversation also explores the concept of AI agents, offering practical tips for leveraging them, even for those with no coding experience. They conclude with a powerful reminder: AI is a mirror reflecting our values, and the nonprofit sector has a vital role in shaping its ethical future. In this episode of RevOps Champions, Brendon Dennewill is joined by Mike Kaput, Chief Content Officer at Marketing AI Institute and strategic leader at SmarterX, to talk about breaking down the real-world barriers to AI adoption—and how teams can take small, practical steps that drive big results.Mike shares the evolution of the Marketing AI Institute, which launched in 2016 to help marketers build AI literacy. Today, through SmarterX, that mission has expanded to support cross-functional teams—marketing, sales, HR, legal, and beyond—in adopting AI in a way that's grounded in strategy and education.Together, Brendon and Mike explore what often holds organizations back. While many invest in tools, they skip the critical first step: ensuring their people understand AI and how it can support their work. Mike warns against chasing the “next big thing” without a clear plan and instead recommends starting with what you have—documenting workflows, identifying use cases, and building a culture of experimentation. They also highlight how RevOps plays a vital role in enabling AI readiness—from clean, connected data to structured processes. Legal, IT, and change management aren't just back-end concerns—they're foundational to scaling AI responsibly.Whether you're just beginning your AI journey or looking to optimize your approach, this episode offers actionable takeaways. The message is simple but powerful: AI doesn't require a massive overhaul to make an impact. Start small. Stay consistent. And build toward smarter, more scalable operations—one step at a time.Find more at revopschampions.com

In this episode of "Cocoon Conversations," host Jenny Dempsey gets real about the emotional rollercoaster of juggling her career and furniture-flipping side hustle. She spills on burnout, imposter syndrome, and the chaos of pricing her art (“Am I worth it?!”). Jenny shares her messy, vulnerable moments—singing to her furniture, doubting herself, and still showing up. She reminds us that spirals aren't failures, but part of the process, and that confidence is more like a flickering patio light than a spotlight. Free Brain Dump Guide: https://simplyconvivial.com/braindump | Perfectionism promises peace—but only delivers paralysis. So what happens when we let go of perfection and trust God with the story He's writing? In this episode of the Simplified Organization Podcast, I talk with Annie Rajala, a faithful mom of seven (four at home and three in glory), about how God has used hard seasons—grief, sickness, NICU stays, moving, and more—to shape her heart and home. We discuss how letting go of perfection, taking just five minutes, and trusting the Lord's timing can create momentum, peace, and gratitude in homemaking.Annie's journey is a beautiful reminder: the little things—the five minutes, the small goals, the messy journals—are often where God grows our joy the most.

Are high blood sugar, nutrient deficiencies, or common environmental toxins fueling your mental health issues? In this episode, Dr. Tracy McCarthy, a board-certified psychiatrist, reveals some surprising yet common triggers of depression, anxiety, insomnia and brain fog. Dr. McCarthy highlights how our modern lifestyle can lead to excess inflammation and an unbalanced microbiome - both of which contribute to poorer mental and physical health. The good news is that simple, strategic lifestyle changes like adopting a more unprocessed diet, switching to “clean” beauty and household products, and thoughtful dietary supplementation can notably improve our mental health and overall wellbeing.00:00 Guest Introduction02:21 Dr. McCarthy's Background and Journey04:10 Discovering Functional Medicine06:46 The Role of Inflammation in Mental Health11:54 Diet and Lifestyle Changes for Better Health20:53 Supplements and Nutrient Deficiencies25:17 Essential Nutrients for Mood and Brain Health28:05 The Importance of Blood Sugar Balance34:27 Caffeine and Its Impact on Mental Health36:28 Understanding Mitochondrial Health40:39 Small Steps to Better Health44:49 Conclusion and Final ThoughtsFor more on Dr. Tracy McCarthy, visit: https://www.drtracymccarthy.com/For Dr. McCarthy's blogpost, Five Nutrients that Can Make a Big Difference in Your Mood, visit: https://www.drtracymccarthy.com/post/five-nutrients-that-can-make-a-big-difference-in-your-moodFor more on Traci Stein and her self-hypnosis and meditation audio programs, events, and more, visit: https://www.drtracistein.com/

If you've ever felt overwhelmed by all the health advice out there, you're not alone. In this episode, I'm joined by functional nutritionist, author, and educator Margaret Floyd Barry, who shares a grounded, encouraging path for moving from information overload to lasting results. She wrote two wonderful books to share health information in an easily understandable format. Her first book, Eat Naked, dispels misconceptions about nutrition and empowers readers to adopt a whole-foods approach to eating. A year later, she followed up with a cookbook, The Naked Foods Cookbook, which she co-authored with her husband, Chef James Barry, to make healthy, delicious cooking accessible to even the most culinary-challenged. Today, Margaret explains how trusting your instincts, taking small doable steps, and finding the proper support can transform your journey, especially when it comes to gut health and bone strength. We also discuss the importance of celebrating progress, avoiding perfectionism, and fostering an environment that supports success. Whether you're just starting out or trying to get back on track, this conversation serves as a reminder that no action is too small, and momentum starts with one step. You'll leave feeling hopeful, empowered, and ready to move forward in a way that truly works for you. “Here's the reality: The maybe slightly less than perfect thing that you will actually do is way better than the perfect solution that you won't." ~ Margaret Floyd Barry, FNTP, MRWP In this episode: - [02:43] - The shocking amount of daily information we consume - [06:01] - How to know what step is right for you - [08:10] - The truth about “perfect” wellness plans - [12:51] - What to do when you fall off track - [15:02] - How to turn a setback into progress - [17:52] - The power of community and environment for success - [24:32] - When it's time to work with a health practitioner - [26:16] - Details about Margaret's training program - [28:36] - What the human body is capable of doing - [32:57] - The secret to making wellness habits stick - [36:08] - Why the gut is the key to your healing - [38:18] - Margaret's free event to help you go deeper Resources mentioned - Clinical Success Showcase (Free) June 2nd- June 5th https://restorativewellnesssolutions.ontraport.com/t?orid=30372&opid=32 - Find a Restorative Wellness Practitioner - https://restorativewellnesssolutions.com/find-a-practitioner/ - Margaret Floyd Barry, FNTP Master RWP CGP websites - www.restorativewellnesssolutions.com and www.margaretfloydbarry.com - Osteoporosis Exercises to Strengthen Your Bones and Prevent Fractures (free) - http://tinyurl.com/osteoporosisexercises More about Margie - Website - https://margiebissinger.com/ - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/p/Margie-Bissinger-MS-PT-CHC-100063542905332/ - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/margiebissinger/?hl=en DISCLAIMER – The information presented on this podcast should not be construed as medical advice. Time is limited, but it's also, there's lots of it. So you've got room to make mistakes. Have you ever wondered what people do to get successful? What makes the difference? Today's guest, Kate McGuire, will share her journey, and she talks about those moments in life that you think are like the success moments. The ones where you think “I've made it!” For her, it was her first $100,000 month. What do you do with milestones like that? What are the steps you're supposed to take first? Kate is a dynamic entrepreneur, devoted mother, and a passionate advocate for health and personal growth. Kate's journey is fueled by her desire for independence, which shapes her strategic approach to business and life. In her 20s, Kate was struggling to learn what she was going to do with her life. It caused her anxiety and stress; she went to her doctor. She wasn't interested in taking prescriptions, and ended up seeing a naturopath. It was life changing. “I was exposed to the importance of my health. And the choices I had to make to actually get your head straight, get your head right, right? And I didn't need pharmaceuticals. And I was really struck with how easy it was to go down that path,” says Kate. After having such a positive experience, she wanted the world to know there were other options and that you could be the biggest advocate for your own health. “It is not easy to look after yourself. It does mean researching. It does mean talking to people. It does mean shutting out the circle of family and friends that you have that have their opinions about the way you should be managed,” says Kate. Her passion for health and seeing her father's role model entrepreneurship pushed her into the industry. “It does require you having some guts and having some faith in yourself,” says Kate. “It's okay if you fail, it's okay. Like your life is so long and when you're young, you feel like what's happening in that moment is like so important and so immediate.” If we don't feel safe, it's really hard to show up in your business as your best self, get excited about marketing, and do all the things. Some business owners get to a certain level and then they pull back because they worked so hard to get there. Steady sales. Income levels. They did it. But it means they don't try anything new. They're afraid of making mistakes, so they don't take any more chances. And the biggest lessons can bring the most hurt. It can be hard to overcome because there is always someone to compare yourself to. “Sometimes entrepreneurs are encouraged to get around other entrepreneurs who are doing much bigger and better things than them. And I think you need to tread lightly with that. depending on your personality. Because for me, that was actually a little bit detrimental,” says Kate. Some people can go all in as a CEO, but others might need to divide their time and avoid burnout. Putting in the internal work so that you can arrive at your business already fully yourself is important. Make what you're creating through the business an extension of creativity and joy – and that will bring money. When Kate started working in the health industry, she was a sales rep for Omega-3 fish oil. She worked on commission. Her method was handshake by handshake, brick by brick, and door by door. She encountered so many nos before she'd get a yes. But then she started to get momentum. For her, it was hard work and belief in herself that paid off. There was no magic answer for her success. “You can end up in the job that you hate and it's safe, or you can take a chance on yourself and, you know, make mistakes and get in a bit of trouble,” says Kate. “But the exhilaration and the enjoyment and the things you'll learn and the people you talk to, I really do believe it's worth it.” Free gift: Benecin immune supplement: https://bit.ly/411buZW (Use 20% off code GOG20) Other GoG episodes you might want to check out: Feel Like You're Pushing Water Uphill? Small Steps To Big Faith #RTTBROS #NightlightSmall Steps, Big Faith"Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." - Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)In our walk with God, we often fall into the trap of perfectionism. We hear tales of great Christian leaders who spent hours in fervent prayer at dawn, and we think, "I could never measure up to that." This mindset can paralyze us, preventing us from taking even the smallest steps in our spiritual journey. As the saying goes, "The perfect is often the enemy of the good."Consider the act of prayer. We may envision the ideal prayer life as rising at 4 AM and communing with God for hours on end. While this practice can be admirable, it's not the only way to cultivate a meaningful relationship with our Heavenly Father. By setting such a lofty standard, we may discourage ourselves from praying at all.Instead, let's focus on progress, not perfection. The good – a simple, heartfelt conversation with God each day – is far better than the perfect that never materializes. Start small: offer a sentence or two of gratitude, petition, or praise. As you build this habit, you may find yourself naturally expanding your prayers, perhaps even engaging in short bursts of communication with God throughout your day.Remember, God doesn't expect perfection from us. He desires a genuine relationship, one that grows and deepens over time. In Ecclesiastes, we're reminded that the patient in spirit is better than the proud. This patience applies not only to our circumstances but also to our spiritual growth.Take encouragement from the words of Jesus in Matthew 17:20 (KJV): "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Even the smallest act of faith can lead to tremendous growth and change.Today, challenge yourself to take one small step in your spiritual disciplines. Whether it's prayer, Bible reading, or acts of service, remember that consistency in small things often leads to significant transformation. Don't let the illusion of perfection hinder your progress. Embrace the good, and watch as God works in and through your faithful efforts.Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to overcome the paralysis of perfectionism. Grant us the wisdom to start small and the patience to grow steadily in our relationship with You. May we find joy in the journey of faith, trusting that You are pleased with our sincere efforts, no matter how humble they may seem. In Jesus' name, Amen.https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out.https://linktr.ee/rttbros

In this episode, we explore the power of micro-habits and the Kaizen approach, a Japanese philosophy centered on continuous, incremental improvement. Rather than relying on massive changes or bursts of motivation, Kaizen teaches us that small, consistent actions—done daily—can lead to significant transformation over time. Micro-habits are the foundation of this mindset: tiny actions like doing one push-up, writing one sentence, or reading one page that feel almost too easy to skip. These small wins compound, boost motivation, and rewire our identity as someone who follows through. We also discuss why this approach outperforms hustle culture in the long run, with examples from elite athletes, military training, and personal development leaders. By anchoring micro-habits to existing routines and prioritizing consistency over intensity, anyone can use Kaizen to build momentum, stay mentally resilient, and avoid burnout. The episode wraps with a call to action: choose one micro-habit and stick with it for the next seven days—because small steps, done daily, can move mountains.
In this month's solo episode, I open up about: Where I'm at right now and how I'm really feeling. Why life feels especially expansive at the moment. The deep nourishment I've found through community, including a powerful experience I had in the TEDx group, which I also wrote about recently. The importance of letting yourself be supported. Trusting the natural unfolding of your path, even when it's not strategic. Why strategy alone isn't enough, and how real growth asks us to dance between all the layers of life. What I'll be sharing at MBS: how to empower yourself and begin rewriting your story. The transformational power of making decisions from a place of feeling good. Why quality of life matters so deeply to me, and what that actually means in practice. How small steps create lasting change, and why I believe in building gently and intentionally. I share all this and more inn this episode, I hope you enjoy. Do reach out to me and share what's going on with you, and what resonated in this episode. Have you ever found yourself thinking... “It’s all been done.” “What if I start and fail?” “What if my voice doesn’t matter?” “What if it’s already too late?” If so, you're not alone—and this week’s episode of The Love Offering podcast is one you can’t miss. I had the absolute joy of sitting down with author and speaker Mary Marantz to talk about her brand-new book, Underestimated. In it, she speaks directly to the fears and excuses that keep us stuck in place—silent, small, and sidelined from the calling God has placed on our hearts. Together, we talk about how to move from stuck to start, how to quiet the inner critic (and the outer ones too), and why your voice does matter in this world. Mary shares not only the wisdom she’s gleaned but also practical, grace-filled steps to help you finally quit playing small and step into the story God has written just for you. You are not too late. You are not too much. And you are certainly not underqualified. Let’s stop sitting on the sidelines and start walking in faith—one small, brave step at a time. Join us for a discussion about breaking down challenges into small, manageable steps — a lesson that shaped his systems-driven approach to business. After COVID-19 devastated his marketing agency, Tony pivoted to software development, creating Guestify and an AI marketplace. He introduces his "Results Loop" framework for business growth, focusing on internal factors like market definition and external factors like customer loyalty. Tony also highlights how he uses AI tools collaboratively to streamline software development and reflects on how his mother's resilience inspired his entrepreneurial mindset. You can get the Magnetic Systems Method (and other systems guides) to find issues before they become expensive problems. Highlights from the interview: 1. Overcoming challenges through systems Tony shares how he learned the importance of breaking down complex tasks into small, manageable steps from his musical training and his mother's experience overcoming polio. This foundational lesson of "small steps, big results" has shaped his approach to building successful systems and businesses. Watch the 5-minute System Segment on YouTube. 2. Pivoting from agency to software When Tony's marketing agency was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, he made the strategic decision to pivot his focus to developing scalable software. This transition led him to create Guestify, a podcast guest booking system that leverages AI, as well as an AI marketplace - aligning with his passion for systems and automation. 3. The "Results Loop" system for business growth Tony explains his "Results Loop" system, which outlines the key internal and external factors for exponentially growing a business. The internal factors include defining the target market, offerings, and value proposition, while the external factors focus on increasing the number of buyers, size of transactions, and customer loyalty. 4. Leveraging AI for software development Tony discusses his process for utilizing AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Anthropic Gemini to streamline his software development. He describes how he combines the strengths of different AI models to conceptualize designs, generate code, and debug issues - an iterative, modular approach that allows him to efficiently build and refine his products. 5. Gratitude for his mother's resilience Tony expresses deep gratitude for his mother, who overcame polio and served as a role model for resilience and determination. Her example of breaking down challenges into small, achievable steps has been a profound influence on Tony's own entrepreneurial journey and systems-focused mindset. Episode Notes: -Teacher, H.S. Administrator, worked for the State Department in Kentucky, and a middle and high school expert, and worked nationally with schools on instructional improvement and instructional leadership. -Coaching Redefined Book- instructional leaders can have a guide book of how to set it up effectively and all of the components that go into it: growing yourself to growing your school and thinking of the culture of the school. It came from a desire to make it work and from real experience in a coaching and admin role. -Intentional Instructional Moves Book- it sets up what classroom instruction should look like based on research and the intentional steps to get there. The audience is to teachers because they are the ones who will make these shifts. It is also powerful for admins or coaches, but it starts with the teacher shifts. -Actions speak louder than words, teachers see what we are doing as coaches. We need to be humble in our position, and know we are all learners. We are not the people who know it all. Coaches can show that they are still learning too. -Ask reflective questions. Have a listening tour prior to meeting with a teacher. Constantly ask questions, ask for feedback, and all the nuances in between. See the best in people as coaches. -We need to believe in the teachers' ability to grow constantly! -Listening Tour - when schools try it, they think it is the best thing. It shapes the coaching within our school. A respectful approach to how we lead. It can change your trajectory in how teachers in your school see coaching. -Get clarity around your role as a coach. See the website for questions to ask and the admin when entering that role. They understand the parameters and protocols within that role. -Recognize the positive part of the instructional methods. There is a lot of research as to how individuals are recognized for their positive work, engaged deeper in the work, and is connected to retention. All is important for us in education right now. We need to recognize the positive things teachers do. -Provide timely, honest, and consistent feedback. -Honest conversations can go a long way. Critical conversations grounded in the third point of data can also be powerful. -When we look back, we can remember which teachers believed in us, respected us, and loved us - and we know the ones who didn't. And for those who did, we would do anything in the world they asked us to improve. -We need to have collaborative goals set with our teachers. Research shows that goals can bump our productivity from 11 to 25 percent. Think about that per classroom. A clear goal set with that teacher could make a huge impact. That has to be a collaborative goal. -We need to differentiate as coaches for educators. If we expect teachers to model differentiation for our students, we also have to model that differentiated learning. -Research shows that our walk-throughs should take between 3- 10 minutes. If the goal is right you will be able to see it in that amount of time. Sometimes we can spend too much time. Then they miss out on other classrooms. If we can get in more often but for less time we will see greater growth in those educators we are coaching. -We have to be very intentional with our time and our feedback. We have to think about the small steps. We have to be mindful of their next step, not necessarily where we want them to be. Those can at times be two very different places, but focus on the small steps. Think about not the end mark, but the next small step in that learning progression. -Intentional Instructional Moves - it outlines those big concepts of effective instruction, and breaks it down to intentional steps, and a virtual guide to have all the resources for each strategy. -Human growth and psychology research and podcasts can be helpful. Listen to the podcasts and it can impact your work. -Take accurate notes- so we can see what we are doing so we can get where we are trying to go. -Coaches are collaborators of content and that partner for growth, that understands teachers do not come to school as a blank slate. They have other things going on outside of the school. We all need the support of other humans. -Embedded coaching has the largest impact on student learning. It is hard because it is so important. It is also equally rich and rewarding. -Find yourself a community of coaches and latch onto them. It is how people see things they need to see within themselves.
