How can we build real, honest relationships with others if we're not even sure who we truly are? Are you praying just to get through the situation, or are you asking God what He wants to teach you in it? And when it comes to your purpose—are you willing to take the next step, even if it feels scary?FRLS x AWKN Worship Night

When that happens we become concerned about our own little name . . . about our own little empire . . . and about our own silly little will . . . But in the Christian counter-culture our top priority concern is not our name kingdom and will, but God's. Today's Promise: Jeremiah 29:13 God doesn't hide from you. He isn't avoiding you. He desires you to find Him. Seeking God always results in finding Him. No matter where you are in your walk with God, there is more to be discovered. There is a condition to this promise. You have to seek the Lord with all your heart. Half-hearted or part-time seeking won't bring you much success. When seeking after God's heart becomes your priority, you will find Him. When you find Him, you find everything you need.
Are you rolling a problem over in your mind looking for a solution? James 1:5 reminds us instead of thinking so hard, we can take our unsolved problems to God. James 1:5 (NIV)If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. https://livesteadyon.com/https://www.logos.com/https://enduringword.com/https://www.wordhippo.com/https://www.biblegateway.com/https://www.blueletterbible.org/ Robert Jamieson, A. Seeking God's Will: The Foundation of Lasting Relationships The readings explore the themes of friendship, commitment, and obedience to God's will. The Homily begins with a discussion on the nature of true friendship, emphasizing that genuine friendship requires discernment, testing, and trust. The Homily contrasts shallow acquaintanceship with deep, enduring relationships, both among people and in one's relationship with God. The idea that God also tests His friends to reveal the strength or weakness of their commitment is a central theme. Seeking God's Will The Homily then transitions into the Gospel teaching on marriage, highlighting that many people approach relationships with a mindset of personal convenience rather than seeking God's will. The Pharisees' attempt to test Jesus regarding divorce reflects humanity's tendency to challenge God instead of submitting to divine wisdom. Jesus responds by redirecting the conversation from legal permissions to the fundamental question: What is the will of God? The key message is that true friendship—with both people and God—requires obedience, self-transformation, and faithfulness, even in times of difficulty. By seeking God's will first, rather than prioritizing personal desires, one can cultivate meaningful relationships and a fulfilling life. How, again, do we determine God's Will? Send us a textWelcome:Summary. When God brought the Israelites into the Promised Land, He gave them a paradoxical command: “The land is yours—now go and take possession of it.” That was both a gift and a responsibility. In the same way, we are told that God has blessed believers in Christ with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3). He has already given us love, peace, patience, hope, joy, gratitude, and strength/endurance, yet we are still required to take hold of them and live in their reality. The tragedy is that many Christians fail to claim what is already theirs. What holds them back? Three common obstacles include:LazinessLack of Faith Lapsing into SinBut what if you've pushed past these struggles? Is there another obstacle that can still hinder you?The Danger of DeceptionJoshua 9 tells the story of how something as small and deceptive as stale bread nearly derailed Israel's whole conquest. Spiritual Mouldy Bread TodayJust as Israel was deceived by appearances, many Christians today fall for spiritual deception. Some examples include:The Lie That We Must Earn Salvation – Some teach that faith alone is not enough, but Scripture is clear: "For by grace you have been saved through faith… not of works" (Ephesians 2:8-9).The Prosperity Gospel – Some claim that true faith guarantees wealth and health. But Jesus Himself said, "The poor you will always have with you" (Matthew 26:11).The Lie That We Need More Than Christ – Some say we need secret knowledge or additional revelations, but Colossians 2:10 declares that we are "complete in Him."Seeking God's WisdomDon't trust appearances.Always seek God's wisdom.Don't assume something is right just because it looks good.Pray first, then act.Final Thought: If you want to walk in God's promises, seek fresh guidance daily. Could it be that the opportunities we miss today are the stepping stones for future generations?Let's embark on a journey to uncover the hidden potential within the biblical directive "Seize the Moment." Through the lens of scripture, likened to peeling layers of an onion, we explore the profound implications of aligning with divine opportunities and the consequences of letting them slip by. Our conversation leads us through a reflection on "God's Promises and Obedience," where we confront the church's struggle against worldly skepticism. Drawing lessons from the Israelites' journey after the Red Sea, we examine the dangers of disobedience and the importance of grounding our faith in the scriptures. As we journey further, we explore "Seeking God's Promises Through Preparation," emphasizing the critical role of prayer and proactive pursuit of divine guidance—paralleling the biblical story of Moses and the exploration of Canaan with practical life decisions. In the chapters "The Evidence of God's Promise" and "Overcoming Doubt and Seizing Opportunities," we delve into the narratives of courage and faith, confronting fears that hinder our growth. Inspired by Caleb's unwavering belief, we are reminded to trust in the divine path laid out for us. We conclude with a heartfelt discussion on "Generational Consequences of Disobedience," encouraging listeners to seize the blessings meant for them and future generations by embracing courage, faith, and decisive action in their spiritual journeys. Seeking God has a lot to do with getting to know Him. Getting to know Him leads us to love and trust Him more. The problem is we imagine more of what we think we know of God than what we know of Him as He has revealed Himself in the Word. Tune in to debunk a common theory that God can be worshipped as ordinary and only if it does not inconvenience us.
When a couple comes together in seeking and serving God, they also can draw closer to each other! On today's episode, Pastor Cameron and Delia discuss how reading Scripture, praying, and serving together was an essential part of their courtship.
Host Barry Meguiar shares his thoughts on how removing God from our society has effectively invited chaos into our world. Satan is having a field day and, as Christians, we are allowing it. As Satan continues to blind the minds of the masses, we must take every opportunity to lead everyone, every day, closer to Jesus. When we, as a nation, began to move away from God, we moved toward conflict, anger, and division. Our problems are not racial or political, but spiritual. Where God created a void in us that only He can fill, we’ve been trying to fill it with everything but Him. The only cure is to fill that void with Jesus so that people will begin to see evil as evil and we’ll be a Christian nation once again. Host Barry Meguiar is a car guy and businessman who hosted the popular TV show, Car Crazy, on Discovery Networks for 18 years. He loves cars, but he loves Jesus even more! In this heartfelt episode, T. Louise takes you on a deep dive into the challenges of maintaining an authentic, vibrant relationship with God—even when it starts to feel like a chore. She opens up about a struggle many of us face: when our time with Christ, once filled with passion and excitement, begins to feel routine, tedious, or even forced.Drawing from her personal journey, T. Louise shares how she was prompted by God to look up the definitions of “chore” and “tedious.” She explains how, as children, we learn to do our chores out of obligation and later, without realizing it, we may begin to approach our time with God the same way—out of routine rather than genuine desire. Through this lens, she examines the physical and spiritual factors that can dull our worship experience. For example, T. Louise reveals her simple but effective strategy of setting boundaries—like avoiding Bible reading or prayer in bed—to prevent sleepiness and distraction during her devotional time. She also discusses the subtle tactics of the enemy, who works to sow feelings of weariness and even voices of doubt during moments of worship. In sharing these insights, T. Louise emphasizes that every believer's relationship with Christ is unique. Instead of comparing our walk to others, we should embrace our personal journey, with its highs and lows, and seek a deeper, more intentional connection with God.The episode is enriched with biblical reflections, including lessons drawn from the story of Adam and Eve, to illustrate how our tendency to hide from God can transform sacred moments into mere routines. T. Louise wraps up with practical tips for renewing your devotional life: begin with repentance, carve out intentional time for God, and dare to be vulnerable in His presence. Join her for an honest, transformative conversation that will encourage you to reclaim the joy and intimacy of your relationship with Christ.

Jesse Enniss and Reverend John Yeager engage with Rob Hutchinson to explore the theme of mystery in modern faith. They discuss how churches can embrace mystery in their teachings and practices, the importance of community in navigating uncertainties, and the role of scripture in understanding faith. The conversation emphasizes that faith often requires belief in the unknown and that engaging with others enriches the spiritual journey. Rob Hutchinson discusses the importance of dialogue over debate in spiritual discernment, emphasizing humility and openness to different perspectives. He explores the willingness to embrace mystery in faith and the challenges churches face in navigating change. Hutchinson envisions a future where the church is defined by what it becomes rather than where it meets, advocating for a community that actively seeks God's presence in everyday life. What does Bible study look like after inerrancy? Do you have to give up studying Scripture when you no longer believe in its literal interpretation? Can you still believe this book is sacred even while renegotiating your relationship to the church? In Knock at the Sky, Liz Charlotte Grant offers compelling answers to these questions and more in this deeply personal commentary on the book of Genesis. Braiding together encounters with the natural world, Jewish midrash, and art criticism, Grant makes familiar Sunday school stories strange and offers a fresh vision for reading Scripture after deconstruction. For those who have known the book of Genesis as a weapon in the culture wars, Grant interprets the Bible's inspired book of beginnings as a work of art. Lyrical, insightful, and highly original, Knock at the Sky offers readers a capacious model for seeking God through Scripture even as one's faith continues to evolve. “In this book, you too have permission to question the sacred without fearing . . . unbelief. Knock loudly. . . . Reject answers that do not admit complication. Seek the resonance at the base of the story. The seeking is the point. Because there, in your wandering, God is.”✖️✖️✖️Support the Show: Patreon.com/PreacherBoys✖️✖️✖️If you or someone you know has experienced abuse, visit courage365.org/need-help✖️✖️✖️CONNECT WITH THE SHOW:preacherboyspodcast.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@PreacherBoyshttps://www.facebook.com/preacherboysdoc/https://twitter.com/preacherboysdochttps://www.instagram.com/preacherboyspodhttps://www.tiktok.com/@preacherboyspodTo connect with a community that shares the Preacher Boys Podcast's mission to expose abuse in the IFB, join the OFFICIAL Preacher Boys Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403898676438188/✖️✖️✖️The content presented in this video is for informational and educational purposes only.
