Culture Connect is our very first artist residency project, located in the heart of Beijing China at the Bookworkm-- one of the countries most notable literary hubs. In this live recording, I talk with Yang of ZWYN , creator and principle of one of the most innovative fitness facilities in the world. Yang calls this facility — the Grid— a place where pop culture, music , fashion, futuristic design, and unique approach to sport and health all gather to create the ZWYN experience Listen to our conversation as we talk about language , health, culture, and how our perceptions can shape reality.

I got a chance to talk with such a cool and unique personality in the Fighting Game Esports community: Terrelle Jackson aka Lil Majin. He plays KING in Tekken 7 and has been playing the series since Tekken's very first installment in 1994, though he's probably most known for his victorious bout with JDCR at EVO 2018, in which he wowed the crowd with his impressive gameplay.

Amanda Rose (aka Romanova) is an incredible seamstress that has been designing cosplay looks for years now. She frequently interprets videos game characters like Cassie Cage from Mortal Kombat and Chun Li from Street Fighter - but she's probably most widely known for her interpretation of Black Widow (played by Scarlet Johansson) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Graham "The 502 Kid" Breitenstein is a Louisville KY native but is definitely a global personality; going on 3 Worldwide Tours with the larger than life Lady Gaga. Breitenstein was just 19 when he moved to LA , he trained with some of the top choreographers in the industry and eventually danced alongside America's pop sweetheart, Meghan Trainor, actress/songstress Keke Palmer, singer/songwriter Charlie Puth, and YouTube sensations, Trevor Moran, JoJo Siwa and Jean Watts. His experiences have granted him incredible opportunities, which include dancing multiple times on The Grammy's, American Music Awards, MTV VMA's, and Dancing With the Stars. He can be seen in numerous music videos. such as Lady Gaga's G.U.Y., Applause, Marry the Night, Judas, LoveGame, among many others.

Rukunetsu is a Bahamian music composer that specializes in video game music and their remixes. He is also a visual artist, illustrator and graphic designer.  His music is intentional, calming, refreshing, and for the most part, very chill. He remixes everything from Tekken and Street Fighter to Super Mario Bros to completely original compositions. He is constantly making music with 300+ songs available online and is just as consistent in engaging with his audience.  I got a chance to chat with the incredible artist to talk about his inspirations, advice for artists getting started, and his perspective on working as an artist with such a unique niche.  Check out the full interview below

Jameel aka "Bridges" is a multifaceted designer with high attention to detail and an extreme drive to innovate. Bridges' has extensively worked with companies such as Redbull, Boiler Room, Remy Martin, All Def Digital, Topman, Closed Sessions, Soundscape Studios, and many signed recording artists. We talk about his voice as a designer and photographer, the culture of the art and fashion world, and explore some philosophical ideas worth meditation.

Daraun Crawford has worked with Metro Boomin, Universal, Republic Records, and RCA among many others. Crawford is a visual artist that primarily works digitally; Creating immersive experiences and digital getaways for his clients. Though he is versatile, with modeling and music production in his portfolio he's looking forward to expanding his clientele and plans to feed his passion for Nintendo classics by becoming more competitive in the Super Smash Bros Ultimate scene. We talked about his process, projects he's worked on, plans for the future, as well as tips for artist wanting to get paid for their work.

Jabril Power interviews Jeannail Carter one of the most interesting and strongest fighters in the Tekken scene. Jeannail aka CuddleCore is An incredible conceptual artist who focuses on becoming more confident in sharing her perspective with the world but her hobby of playing video games now takes up the majority of her time. They discuss ther career, her art, her perspective as a black woman in gaming, and her play-style.
