Onze laatste aflevering van 2019 is een feestelijke: De Grote Vriendelijke Eindejaarspodcast! Semi-live vanuit café Cleeff in Haarlem, waar vijftig kinderboekenliefhebbers zich hebben verzameld, blikken kinderboekrecensenten Jaap Friso (JaapLeest.nl) en Bas Maliepaard (Trouw) terug op de belangrijkste gebeurtenissen op kinderboekengebied. Dat doen ze samen met drie auteurs die een bijzonder jaar achter de rug hebben. Gideon Samson won met zijn boek 'Zeb.' (Leopold 9+, tekeningen: Joren Joshua) de Gouden Griffel én de Nienke van Hichtumprijs, Yvonne Jagtenberg kreeg voor haar prentenboek 'Mijn wonderlijke oom' (Rubinstein 4+) het Gouden Penseel en Manon Sikkel, bekend van series als IzzyLove (Luitingh-Sijthoff 10+) en Elvis Watt (Luitingh-Sijthoff 8+, tekeningen: Annet Schaap), werd in april voor de periode van twee jaar geïnstalleerd als nieuwe Kinderboekenambassadeur.Het Grote Vriendelijke Jaaroverzicht 2019Bas en Jaap nemen met het drietal een selectie van het kinderboekennieuws van 2019 door, dat in drie journaals wordt voorgelezen door radiopresentator Bert Kranenbarg (elke werkdag tussen 16-18u te beluisteren in 'Bert op 5' op NPO Radio 5). Onderaan deze notities vind je een overzicht van de geluidsfragmenten die we hebben gebruikt voor dit jaaroverzicht.Yentl en de BoerOp twee derde van de podcast laten we het lied 'Alles wat je leest, daar ben je geweest' van Yentl en de Boer horen, dat het duo speciaal schreef voor het Kinderboekenbal 2019. Vanaf oktober 2020 staan de twee weer in de Nederlandse theaters met hun nieuwe muzikale cabaretvoorstelling 'Lacrimosa'. Bas noemt het boek 'Verkocht' (Querido 10+, tekeningen: Philip Hopman) van Hans Hagen als voorbeeld van een boek van een Nederlandse auteur over een kind met een andere culturele achtergrond. Hij haalt ook het project De Schoolschrijver aan. Manon leest een stukje voor uit haar boek 'Geheim agent Oma' (Luitingh-Sijthoff 10+, tekeningen: Katrien Holland).Annie M.G. SchmidtlezingWe maken bekend dat Koos Meinderts op 13 mei 2020 de Annie M.G. Schmidtlezing gaat houden. De titel van zijn voordracht is: 'Het land waar grote mensen wonen'. Kaartjes zijn vanaf nu te koop via de website van het Kinderboekenmuseum in Den Haag, waar de lezing ook zal plaatsvinden. De GVP zal, net als vorig jaar, de lezing naderhand aanbieden als podcast.
