In this episode, we explore peripheral nerve blocks (PNBs), which are a cornerstone of pain management in surgical care. PNBs offer targeted pain relief by blocking nerve signals, reducing the need for systemic analgesics, and enhancing recovery times. From their mechanism of action to nursing priorities, we cover everything you need to know to confidently care for patients receiving PNBs. In this episode, you will learn: What is a Peripheral Nerve Block? Learn about the benefits of PNBs, including reduced opioid use, faster recovery, and suitability for high-risk patients. How They Work: Understand how local anesthetics like ropivacaine and bupivacaine block sensory, motor, and sympathetic nerves in sequence. When They're Used: Common surgeries utilizing PNBs, such as knee replacements, carpal tunnel repair, and shoulder procedures. How They're Administered: Single-shot vs. continuous infusion techniques, including the use of portable pumps like the Ambit pump or elastomeric devices. Medications: Local anesthetics and adjuvants like epinephrine, dexamethasone, and clonidine that enhance the block's efficacy. Complications to Watch For: Learn about local anesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST) to nerve trauma and post-op safety risks. And this is hurting its valuation significantly, both in the private and public markets. Just this week, Ola Electric's price fell below its listing priceOla Electric can and should take credit for making EV two-wheelers common on Indian roads. It achieved this through rampant marketing, getting the word out for its product, and eventually delivering its products to eager customers as well. These did yield results in the short term as well. At its peak, Ola Electric's vertically integrated ecosystem was a big pull, which, along with its marketing efforts, allowed it to gain nearly 53% market share in the EV two-wheeler segment. But the strategy of moving fast and breaking things to press an early mover advantage that startups usually apply has now started to backfire, as angry customers take to social media to express their frustration with the longer wait times to get their vehicles serviced and working again. These kinds of troubles tend to happen with startups. But when the situation is such that you can't just fix things as you would do in an app, and you are under the scrutiny of the public markets. The need to deliver becomes absolutely detrimental. In this week's episode, host Rohin Dharmakumar and Praveen Gopal Krishnan try to understand Ola's recent history, how it fared after listing on the Indian bourses, the troubles it has faced, and what the future holds.Joining them for the episode are Jinesh Gandhi, Research Director at Ambit*, with over 20 years of experience tracking multiple sectors, and Narayan Sundararaman, an accomplished leader with over 28 years of experience in marketing strategy. Narayan has worked at Cadbury, Star TV, and was the ex-CMO at Bajaj Auto.Reference Stories:How Ola Electric blew its leadOla Electric wants to take on Hero's Splendor. When life happens (as it always does), it's easy to get overwhelmed. As we face health emergencies, family issues, financial hardship, or other obstacles, we can struggle to find a way forward and re-focus on the things that will help us reach our business goals. In this episode of The Business of Thinking Big, I sit down with one of my incredible A-Players, Sheila Penton. Our candid conversation explores Sheila's inspiring entrepreneurial journey, the three enormous setbacks that could have derailed her business completely (and why they didn't!), and two things we absolutely LOVE about hosting webinars. In this episode, you'll discover: · Why you shouldn't feel bad about shifting to smaller goals (and how this can be the best thing for your business) · Why healthy boundaries are a must-have, where Sheila draws the line in her business, and how she manages client expectations · The big A-ha! realization that changed the way Sheila delegates — and how to empower your team to OWN their tasks! “You are your brand.” Whether delivered as encouragement or warning, this expression is extremely common in the online business world for a very good reason: it's 100% true! Your messaging, your presentation, your deliverables, and the way that you show up online directly impact how your audience feels about your brand. And when your social content or offers don't match up with your vision for your brand, it's a problem. We want our dream clients to see us as someone who truly understands them — as a thought leader and expert who will guide them to the solutions they need. Unfortunately, many of us are not fully showing up as that person… and this holds us back from building trust and connections with the people we'd most like to serve. In this solo episode of The Business of Thinking Big, I reveal how to craft a highly effective personal brand that embodies and supports your business goals. This is an especially valuable lesson for coaches, consultants, and educators, so don't miss out! In this episode, you'll discover: · 5 types of content where you ARE your brand and how to show up in ways that boost your sales· The area of your sales funnel where you need to reinforce your brand the most · How I've audited my own online presence (and the changes that I've made) Timestamps: 00:33 Intro & auditing my content03:22 The problem gap06:19 Be your dream client's guide07:55 Attraction content09:19 Engagement content10:55 Connection content & discovery calls15:03 Paid content18:28 Daily actions20:13 Scattered morning story21:14 Recap & conclusion Links mentioned: Connect with me on LinkedInA-Players Rapid Impact Business Coaching Program—Learn with me: Mamapreneur Success Path - Free Audio TrainingConnect with me: Facebook: facebook.com/liannekimcoach Instagram: @liannekimcoachJoin the Mamas & Co. community to get access to valuable resources and the support of likeminded mompreneurs and mentors: mamasandco.com Instagram: @mamasandcoPodcasting support:theultimatecreative.com copymagic.agency

One of the amazing benefits of being a business owner is that YOU are in charge. But this is also one of the biggest challenges of being a business owner! As the leader in your business, you're responsible for high-level decision-making in many different areas, including who you serve, how you deliver results — and how much you earn. Business owners can struggle with knowing how much — and how often — to pay themselves. While investing back into the business is important, paying yourself a regular salary is absolutely crucial! Women entrepreneurs tend to underpay and deprive themselves, and this can cause them to lose steam as they aren't seeing enough reward for their efforts. This episode of The Business of Thinking Big takes a practical, no-nonsense approach to setting up your CEO salary. You'll learn about the common issues that hold female entrepreneurs back when it comes to the money side of our businesses — and how to start recognizing and honouring your own value! In this episode, you'll discover: · Why you should set a real salary (rather than just withdrawing from your business account as needed!) · How to choose a CEO salary that makes sense and doesn't limit you for the wrong reasons· How to shake off the corporate mindset when it comes to understanding your worth Timestamps: 00:33 Intro02:34 Underpaying ourselves05:28 Understanding your worth06:56 Why set a salary?08:34 Choosing a number16:10 Designer client example18:13 ‘3 Levels of Income' exercise23:10 A-Players, 4 step recap & bonuses28:36 Conclusion Links mentioned: A-Players Rapid Impact Business Coaching Program —Learn with me: Mamapreneur Success Path - Free Audio Training Connect with me: Facebook: facebook.com/liannekimcoach Instagram: @liannekimcoachJoin the Mamas & Co. community to get access to valuable resources and the support of likeminded mompreneurs and mentors: mamasandco.com Instagram: @mamasandco Podcasting support:theultimatecreative.com copymagic.agency

While coaching can be an incredibly fulfilling career, too many coaches struggle to make great money while working in their zone of genius and doing what they love. The problem? It can be easy to lose focus, get discouraged, and fall off-track while pursuing our goals… especially when we forget to celebrate and honour our growth and accomplishments! In this episode of The Business of Thinking Big, I'm joined by one of my amazing A-Players, coach and spiritual leader Jessica Callery, to talk about the ups and downs of the coaching journey — and how to connect your big WHY to your execution. Along the way, we dig into how Jessica transformed her incredible drive to heal others into a thriving coaching career, how she recognized ‘the voice' of her calling as a clairaudient, and how she came back STRONG after stepping away from coaching! In this episode, you'll discover: · How Jessica introduced game-changing structure and packaging into her offers · The step-by-step actions that helped Jessica surpass her 90-day goal of growing her client roster· The importance of creating continuity in the coaching world — and what coaches should keep in mind if they want to serve at their highest level! Starting a business has never been for the fainthearted, but some businesses require more of an investment than others — be it time, energy, or money. Many entrepreneurs who feel driven to follow their passion as creatives, service providers, or product developers may wind up feeling overwhelmed, and working too many hours without enough money to show for it. Coaching has become extremely popular not only because of the incredible value it delivers, but because running a coaching business can give entrepreneurs more money, time, and freedom! In this juicy solo episode of The Business of Thinking Big, I answer one of the most common questions I've gotten over the years: why did I choose to launch and grow a coaching business? Tune in as I share the top 5 reasons why you should consider becoming a coach, explore the practical differences between coaching and consulting, and reveal my own path to coaching (and how the title of my podcast nods to these humble beginnings!).
