On Ron's Amazing Stories this week, things get a little strange. Okay... maybe more than a little. We're bringing back an old RAS favorite, As Read By, with listener Franklin Paul taking us straight into the pages of a 1950s science-fiction pulp magazine. Then, on The RAS Signal, we turn our attention to one of the greatest voices of old-time radio — Agnes Moorehead. And since we're talking about Moorehead, why not hear her in action? We'll finish with a classic episode of Suspense where a simple chain letter sets off a very unfortunate… chain of events. A parade celebrating the International Geophysical Year already has floats, bands, rockets, and displays of life on other planets. Then the parade manager is approached by a six-foot-tall ant claiming to represent the Martian V.F.W. Who are these strange visitors... and what do they really want? The Chain Suspense — Originally broadcast March 9, 1958. Agnes Moorehead stars as a vindictive woman whose decision to send a superstitious chain letter to an immigrant neighbor's wife begins a sequence of events that quickly spirals beyond her control. William Conrad also appears as Lieutenant Marsh. It's superstition, fear, and unintended consequences in a story that proves sometimes it's better to just throw the darn letter away. Episode 210 of Wrestling Tonight looks at the immediate fallout from AEW All In 2026, with Will Ospreay's first World title defense already set against Jon Moxley at All Out. Moxley enters with a 2-0 singles record against Ospreay, while Andrade El Idolo still holds a future title shot and Ospreay is also teasing a new AEW faction separate from the current United Empire. New Level remain one of the biggest stories coming out of Wembley, with Kofi and Austin Creed confirming WWE offered them deals with pay cuts of more than 50 percent and Conrad Thompson saying he heard the actual number was 75 percent. We get into why they turned those deals down, why AEW was always their preferred destination and how their contracts came together less than 24 hours before All In. We also break down the actual All In attendance, with 41,102 people going through the Wembley turnstiles compared with an estimated 46,987 tickets distributed. The number is down from both previous Wembley shows, but AEW still announced a $6 million gate and remains at a level very few wrestling events reach. All Out is already taking shape elsewhere as Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defend the AEW Tag Team titles against FTR and The Young Bucks in a three-way ladder match. Josh Alexander is also back from injury, while Copeland has Steve Maclin waiting for him in his Maple Leaf Pro debut one week after All Out. On the WWE side, Roman Reigns is heading toward a World Heavyweight Championship defense against Penta in Mexico City, with Tommy Dreamer comparing the potential atmosphere to John Cena at ECW One Night Stand. Sunday Night's Main Event in Atlanta has also moved 9,177 tickets so far, still below WWE's 2026 average of 12,476. Elsewhere, Chelsea Green revealed how serious another impact to her broken orbital bone could be and discussed her pitch for Royal Rumble winners to challenge for the United States or Intercontinental Championship. The Creed Brothers are back in NXT, WWE has officially retired the Speed Championships and we look at what all of those moves mean going forward. Episode 210 of Wrestling Tonight covers Ospreay vs. Moxley, New Level's rumored 75 percent WWE pay cut, All In's 41,102 turnstile count, Roman vs. Penta in Mexico City, the growing All Out card, Chelsea Green, the Creed Brothers, Josh Alexander and the end of the Speed titles.

This week on Ron's Amazing Stories, we're trying something new. We debut a brand-new segment called "The RAS Signal", where I get behind the microphone and spend a little more time talking about the history, people, and ideas that made old-time radio so remarkable. For our first Signal, we'll look at the writers and hear examples of how their words became pictures in the minds of millions of listeners. That leads us directly to Richard Diamond, Private Detective, created by Blake Edwards and starring Dick Powell. Our story is The Oklahoma Cowboy Murder Case. Diamond is hired to investigate the suspicious death of an expert horseman whose fatal fall may not have been an accident after all. And then there's the music…. What!?!? I wrote some lyrics for Ron's Amazing Stories and wondered what they might sound like as a 1940s-style swing song. It's a Signal, a mystery, and even a song. Like I said, we're trying something new. Tonight on Sunday Night Playhouse — the very first dramatization of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca in any medium, broadcast 9 December 1938 as the debut episode of Campbell Playhouse. Orson Welles stars as Maxim de Winter and Margaret Sullavan as the unnamed second Mrs. de Winter, with Mildred Natwick as the formidable Mrs. Danvers and Agnes Moorehead as Mrs. Van Hopper. This broadcast came just weeks after Welles's infamous War of the Worlds panic, and it marks a turning point for his radio work: the unsponsored Mercury Theatre on the Air had just become the Campbell's Soup-sponsored Campbell Playhouse, bringing in guest stars from outside Welles's regular company for the first time. Rebecca itself hadn't yet been filmed — Alfred Hitchcock's celebrated adaptation was still a year and a half away — which means this broadcast isn't an echo of a film you already know. It's the story finding its voice for the very first time, anywhere. Bernard Herrmann's original score for this broadcast later became the foundation of his score for the 1943 film.
