In this bonus episode of The Dark Corner inspired by The Devil card of The Tarot, DJ Evil Dave presents ten songs related to its different meaning. Primarily, he choses songs from the industrial genre. However, he includes a couple of gothic tracks as well. Furthermore, Dave covers a few items overlooked in a previous recording. Namely, this includes representations of the devil in pop culture. I'm sure we can all agree that the similarities between novelty disco versions of 1970s film theme songs, one of the biggest science fiction film franchises of all time, and the holiday season are obvious and present, right? No?If you said no then you're perhaps more of lucid mind than famed producer Meco Monardo, who with George Lucas' blessing, and the participation of actor Anthony Daniels and sound designer Ben Burtt, foisted Christmas In The Stars: A Star Wars Christmas upon the world in 1980, a mere six months after the commercial success of The Empire Strikes Back. Audiences were understandably confused and bewildered by this record, which featured C3PO telling R2-D2 the story of "S. Claus", an 18-year-old Jon Bon Jovi, and songs like "What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas (When He Already Owns A Comb)".For so nerdy a Jukebox Zeroes topic, Lilz & Patrick needed some industrial-grade nerds to help them out. Fortunately they got special guests Adam Schneider of synth-rockers Big Time Kill, and Brian Graupner of electro-industrial act The Gothsicles to help them make some semblance of sense out of the seasonal madness.Local Music Feature: The Gothsicles - "Drop Dead, Squid Face!"
Barricade the kitchen and barter thine kids! Big Time Kill is on the scene and blowing it up.

Come one, come all as we descend into the wonderfully weird pop world of the Dismemberment Plan! We're joined by Adam Schneider of Big Time Kill as we discuss how the D-Plan may have been soothsayers, are not actually a metal band, and have the best rhythm section of all of late 90s indie rock. We also manage to talk about the album here and there.
While we're still reeling from the loss of our precious few brain cells in the wake of reviewing Limp Bizkit we are back in full force to cover Ministry's synthpop debut "With Sympathy", a record whose biggest detractor is the man who made it himself: Uncle Al Jourgenson. We are joined this week by the great Adam Schnieder of Boston industrial outfit Big Time Kill to help make sense of what is essentially a very well-crafted piece of fluff. Other topics of discussion include the joys of living in central MA, Price Chopper, and idk probably saxophones. This week's local artist feature: Big Time Kill - "I Don't Care Anymore"
