Why is Rosé the go-to wine for celebrity-owned brands rather than Chardonnay or Cabernet? Why are the younger generations of wine drinkers choosing Rosé over red? Is the Rosé boom just a trend, or is its popularity here to stay? In this episode of the Unreserved Wine Talk podcast, I'm chatting with Rasmus Emborg & Jens Honoré, who co-published the Rose Revolution. You can find the wines we discussed at https://www.nataliemaclean.com/winepicks Highlights What are the main differences between wines from Domaine Tempier and Domaine Ott? What makes some Rosé wines better for aging than others? How did Gerard Bertrand's background influence his winemaking style? Which Provençal cuisine dishes pair best with the Rosé wines? Why do so many celebrities who come to the wine world choose to make Rosé? Which celebrity wines are worth buying? How has social media impacted the Rosé Revolution? What does the future look like for Rosé's popularity? Why have more men started drinking Rosé? Which wine regions should wine lovers visit to immerse themselves in the world of Rosé? Key Takeaways Why is Rosé the go-to wine for celebrity-owned brands rather than Chardonnay or Cabernet? As Rasmus and Jens explain, Rosé is much easier to embrace for a broad audience. Rosé has a lot of lovers, but they don't have any enemies. So you can be a serious musician, a rocker, a pop star, and embrace Rosé. When you're just a celebrity and not a winemaker it's way more bankable and easier to market. We tried a lot of those wines and I'll tell you, some of them are pretty good, big bang for the buck. Brad Pitt, John Legend, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jon Bon Jovi, Cameron Diaz and Kylie Minogue Why are the younger generations of wine drinkers choosing Rosé over red? Rasmus and Jens observe that young people don't drink much red wine, but they drink a lot of white wine and Rosé because it's kind of like a celebratory wine. It's become a wine you kind of gather around. You don't disagree about it. You can't be talked down to if you don't know the terroir, the grapes etc. If it's endorsed by a rapper or rock music or whatever, it enhances that experience. Is the Rosé boom just a trend or is its popularity here to stay? Rasmus and Jens believe that Rosé has established itself as a third wine category. We'll still see the quality improve and higher price points. In France, 3 out of 10 bottles are Rosé, globally, it's about one out of 10. They are seeing a trend of Rosé taking market share from red wine whereas white wine is stable. About Rasmus Emborg & Jens Honoré Rasmus Emborg is a journalist who has worked in the media industry for over 25 years. He is the author of Beer Brothers (2019), about twin beer brewers Mikkel Borg-Bjergsø and Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø. He and his wife own a small vineyard in Provence. The grapes are mainly used for rosé wine, and the production takes place at a local cooperative. Jens Honoré is a photographer who has worked in the advertising industry for 30 years. In 2018, he published A Place to Dream for SOS Children's Villages, and in partnership with Jens Vilstrup, he published the book, Farewell to a Black/White World about the UN's 2015 Sustainable Development Goals. He has also contributed to Building a Dream about LEGO owner Kjeld Kirks Kristiansen's realization of LEGO House. In 2021, he published The Right to Food about homeless people's relationship with food. Jens lives in New York and as a wine enthusiast, has followed the trend of increasing enthusiasm for rosé wine with great interest. To learn more, visit https://www.nataliemaclean.com/337.

In these arms Dr. Alban - Sing hallelujah Depeche Mode - In your room WWF Superstars - Superslam jam U2 - Numb Felix - Don't you want me Inner Circle - Rock with you East 17 - West End girls

Rhode Island's multi-platinum John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, will be celebrating 50+ years in the business with the release of "Sound of Waves," a new 13 song album, their first in 37 years. In 1982, John Cafferty was commissioned to write and perform the soundtrack for a film that turned out to be "Eddie and the Cruisers,' a rock cult classic with a triple platinum soundtrack. Cafferty's soulful, raspy voice propelled the movie's theme "On the Dark Side" to # 1 on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts, while the movie's second hit "Tender Years" rose into the Top 10 of the Billboard AC charts. Today John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band continue to tour around the world. That tour will bring them to NYC for an album release concert at the Cutting Room on Thursday, April 10th, the same date as the album release, from Moonstone Music. According to Cafferty, the new album almost didn't happen. After almost four decades of not writing and recording new music, he was encouraged by Bruce Springsteen to do it again. Over the years, Cafferty and company have jammed on stage with many of the greats of rock and roll, including Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Dion, and opened on tour with the Beach Boys, Foreigner, and Bryan Adams. Starting May 28th, Cafferty joins Rick Springfield on his "I Want My 80s Tour" for selected dates, along with John Waite and Wang Chung."The 'Sound of Waves' album is a celebration of a lifetime legacy as musicians and 50+ years as a band. The songs are newly written with a respectful reflection of colors from an era of music's diverse history and the precious life moments and loving relationships that have served as our hearts' inspiration," said Cafferty. The title track from the group's 1985 album, "Tough All Over" became their second # 1 on the Billboard Rock Charts and the song "C-I-T-Y" reached the Billboard Top 20. Over the years, John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures. They included Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky "IV," and "Cobra." The Farrelly Brothers hit films "There's Something About Mary" and "Dumb and Dumber Too," & Eddie and the Cruisers I and II. From the very first ATHF intro, to the art direction on the latest season-- Todd Redner was there. Like the wind.... or God. The all knowing, all drawing Todd Redner graces the podcast to bestow upon us several ATHF tales that I had never once heard before. And that's saying something because I've heard lots of things. Todd's telling us about the many decisions that went into Aqua Teen's newest season (and the misguided hate mail it spawned), how characters like the Love Mummy and Wongburger were designed, and how 12 Oz Mouse got Radical Axis spammed with art of questionable quality. This morning we kicked things off with perhaps the most ironic weather report of all-time, then discovered a new pickle product on the market that Rick wants nothing to do with. One-legged jeans are the new craze online, some poor guy keeps getting trolled by Clay Aiken, and a woman gave her chihuahua an exorcism! We also heard the advice Jon Bon Jovi would give his younger self, then hit the phones to hear what yours would be. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode of TSFU Interviews, Fallon chats with Erin Riley, author of "A Dark Force: 20 Years with a Covert Narcissist". They talk about recognizing narcissistic abuse and ways to process and deal with it, as well as her adventures in and around the music business"!Celebrated music maven Erin Riley looked like she had it all: a 1960s Mad Men–style upbringing on Manhattan's Upper West Side, then an escape to “find herself” in glamorous 1970s Hollywood, where she landed some of the most influential positions of the 1980s music industry. She hung out with rock stars like Keith Richards, Steven Tyler, James Taylor, and Jon Bon Jovi and chose the hit records for America's #1 rock & roll radio station, WMMR-FM. But her colorful, raucous, rock & roll life hid dark secrets. An emotionally neglected child with a generational legacy of stoicism and hiding painful truths, Erin had no real experience with love and healthy relationships. The marriage she thought would be her happily-ever-after led to 20 years of confusion, heartbreak, anger, and betrayal, all fueled by a malignant covert narcissist.Erin's honest, searing memoir recounts her self-discovery journey through a series of life's traumas and tragedies, her many bad decisions, and two toxic marriages. Her story will bring insight and guidance to survivors of narcissistic abuse and those questioning their relationships, and the hope that they, like Erin, can find a joyous rock & roll redemption." - AmazonPlease check out Erin's website! https://youtu.be/h1yo6l7V0Yw Preserving legacies is about more than cataloging "stuff" and keeping a spreadsheet. Done well, it can provide the grounding for intergenerational communication, engagement with outside constituencies and, in certain cases, monetization. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0C9Bost6uihR1Pj8MnsppE?si=aCcLughzRpOTg7kvp86ljw This involves a organized process: Preserving Legacies and Cataloging With the horrible recent storm damage in North Carolina and Florida and the horrible Los Angeles wildfires, the cataloging process is on the forefront of many families' minds. Storytelling Development The artifacts of a family can be the keystone of family narrative building and next-generation education. Fan/Constituency Engagement The building of physical digital museums can be the centerpiece of engagement for internal and external constituencies. From extended families, to customers and extended fan-bases, advanced legacy preservation is more than just "stuff." Monetization In certain situations, these efforts can lead to new forms of business and monetization. For artists, authors and musicians, these museum efforts can add value to IP revenue streams and transactions. Preserving Legacies We talk about case studies with stars like Def Leppard, Chris Paul and Jon Bon Jovi. However, we also go through the importance of preserving legacies with families that aren't filling 50,000 person stadiums. We distinguish "Preserving Legacies" from Estate Settlement (where many families first begin this process). That said, this show pairs well with the Estate Settlement episode with Joel Schoenmeyer. Background BRAD MINDICH is the Founder/CEO of Inveniem which is the leading archiving/fan engagement company that works directly with artists, estates, athletes, brands, and individual celebrities on finding, organizing, preserving, and monetizing their artifacts and history. INVENIUM, and its fan-facing brand Definitive Authentic's, overarching message to its clients is Your Past Is Your Future® and this philosophy sets the tone for how the company holistically and strategically partners with its clients to both preserve and extend legacies and connect clients deeper with their fans. The company's client list is confidential, but it includes some of the world's most iconic creators. https://www.amazon.com/Wealth-Actually-Intelligent-Decision-Making-1-ebook/dp/B07FPQJJQT/
