In this episode of Seeing Them Live, host Charles welcomes Amy Hill, a nurse and avid music fan, to discuss her rich history of attending live concerts. Amy shares the story of how she first met Charles at a bar before a Jonathan Van Ness show and discusses her lifelong passion for music. She reminisces about her first concert experience seeing Poison, a love for music that she surmises began even before her birth, and her diverse musical tastes ranging from Goth industrial to Luke Bryan.Amy talks in depth about her unique experiences on Gothic music cruises, her encounters with bands like Combichrist and Empathy Test, and the close-knit community that forms on these trips. She also describes taking her mom to concerts, including a memorable 30 Seconds to Mars show in Lake Tahoe. Throughout, Amy emphasizes the unifying power of music, sharing personal stories that underline the joy and connections sparked by live performances.BANDS: 30 Seconds to Mars, Aesthetic Perfection, Amy Hill, Anthrax, Bauhaus, Beyonce, Combichrist, Empathy Test, Freddie Mercury, God Module, Gothsicles, Jane's Addiction, Jonathan Van Ness, Luke Bryan, Ministry, Motley Crue, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera, Pearl Jam, Poison, Project Pitchfork, Queen, Sisters of Mercy, Skid Row, Skinny Puppy, Social Distortion, Steven Perkins, System Synning, Taylor Swift.VENUES: Alpine Valley, Bottom Lounge, Carnival (cruise line), Four Seasons Hotel, Lollapalooza, Mira Luna, MSC (cruise line), Norwegian (cruise line), Royal Caribbean (cruise line), Soldier Field, Vic Theater. For today's episode of the "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" podcast, hosts Jeremiah and Chris are once again joined by special guest Brian Graupner of The Gothsicles to watch the 1996 Alan Smithee joint, "Hellraiser: Bloodline".That Alan Smithee sure gets around. Yeah, he makes a lot of bad movies, but then someone makes a movie about him?! And the fact that "Burn Hollywood Burn: An Alan Smithee Film" turned out to be a huge POS says something about the guy. I smell shenanigans.

Brandi joins Dave in this episode of The Dark Corner podcast and covers Doctor Strange and Strange New Worlds. First, we review the film, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. We like Russell Crowe's performance. Moreover, Brandi delights in seeing Paul Bettany. Furthermore, we acknowledge how Wrath of Khan must have borrowed from the series of novels. For the Dark Track, John Omen performs Strange Days, a cover of The Cure's A Strange Day. You can find this song on Tainted Candy: A tribute to 80's New Wave. This is one of many compilations presented by The Gothsicles. Additionally, we present a promo for the popular podcast, My Favorite Murder. In this double stuffed point, we first review Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While we find the villain to be just another in a series of disappointing handlings of a MARVEL character, we celebrate Sam Raimi's adept direction. For instance, this film delves into horror and Raimi's experienced hand is evident. Also, we review the premier of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It is perhaps the best first episode of any series of Star Trek. Moreover, we welcome the return to episodic storytelling in a live action format. Also, we enjoy the supporting cast as well as the leading characters. Furthermore, the comedy lands without undermining more serious parts of the story. Finally, we shout out to our friends on Twitter, @Fozziebare and @StainedSass.

Brian Graupner of The Gothsicles joins hosts Jeremiah and Chris once again in another episode of the "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" podcast!Today Brian has chosen a movie that both Jeremiah and Chris have never seen before - the 1990 post-apocalyptic extreme sports flick "Prayer of the Rollerboys" starring Corey Haim, Patricia Arquette, and Christopher Collett. It's an odd flick filled with unnecessary mullets, not quite a nuclear disaster, and lots of in-sync rollerblading. Like a lot.

Long-time pal and frequent guest Brian Graupner is dropping by ID:UD HQ this week...although he's not here to talk about The Gothsicles. Nope, the man behind the scene's premiere industrial comedy act has a lot of other irons in the fire, including his Gasoline Invertebrate project, the eerily prescient Space Couch streaming show, and his label endeavours via Tigersquawk Records. We're talking about all of those projects along with all of the horseplay and grab-assery which occurs whenever we're hanging with Graups, plus the past weekend's Terminus Isolation streams on this week's episode of We Have A Technical.
Welcome to the final installment of the "Jaws" franchise series of "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" episodes! Returning guest Brian Graupner of The Gothsicles joins Jeremiah and Chris to watch "Jaws: the Revenge", the fourth and (thankfully) final film in the franchise. Floating sharks, shoulder pads and bad Michael Caine impressions ahoy! Side Note: Did you know the infamous Nintendo Entertainment System video game from LJN was based on this movie?
This on the podcast, I talk to Brian from the Gothsicles about Wax Trax! Records, the midwestern industrial music scene, the Boston noise scene and the upcoming Gothsicles shows and albums. We also talk about how he got started making music on his Yamaha QY10 sequencer and his affiliation with the Dr. Dements-inspired FuMP community. Thanks Brian! Special Guest: The Gothsicles.
I'm sure we can all agree that the similarities between novelty disco versions of 1970s film theme songs, one of the biggest science fiction film franchises of all time, and the holiday season are obvious and present, right? No?If you said no then you're perhaps more of lucid mind than famed producer Meco Monardo, who with George Lucas' blessing, and the participation of actor Anthony Daniels and sound designer Ben Burtt, foisted Christmas In The Stars: A Star Wars Christmas upon the world in 1980, a mere six months after the commercial success of The Empire Strikes Back. Audiences were understandably confused and bewildered by this record, which featured C3PO telling R2-D2 the story of "S. Claus", an 18-year-old Jon Bon Jovi, and songs like "What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas (When He Already Owns A Comb)".For so nerdy a Jukebox Zeroes topic, Lilz & Patrick needed some industrial-grade nerds to help them out. Fortunately they got special guests Adam Schneider of synth-rockers Big Time Kill, and Brian Graupner of electro-industrial act The Gothsicles to help them make some semblance of sense out of the seasonal madness.Local Music Feature: The Gothsicles - "Drop Dead, Squid Face!"

For the Season 2 finale of the "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" podcast, we end at the beginning with returning guest Brian Graupner of the band The Gothsicles. The movie: "The Wizard" starring Fred Savage, Jenny Lewis, Christian Slater, Beau Bridges and Nintendo. Yes that's right, the 90 minute Nintendo commercial designed to build hype for Super Mario Bros. 3 and make the Power Glove look like the POS it was. See you in a few months with Season 3!

Welcome to season 2 of the "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" podcast! For the first episode of the new season hosts Jeremiah and Chris brought back one of their most popular guests - Brian Graupner of the band The Gothsicles! And boy howdy did he pick a doozy of a flick too. We here at "Shh, The Movie Is Starting" love the Cannon Group (aka Cannon Films) and their stable of cheesy C-grade movies, which is why we were thrilled to have Brian choose to watch "American Ninja 2: The Confrontation" as it fits right into that description. Ninjas, the Dudikoff and a live action Mekaneck. What more could you want in a flick?!

Kornflake is back from Chicago, where she was surrounded by some of our favorite silly people at FumpFest, a whole crazy convention of comedy music! Her adventures included Dementia Water Aerobics, field trips away from the convention for weird theater and weird French toast, receiving more lobster-themed gifts, and smashing up a rental car like she was in Hazzard County. There were also plenty of hilarious performers, of course, including Devo Spice, Carrie Dahlby, Seamonkey, Worm Quartet, The Gothsicles, Rob Paravonian, Tim Cavanagh, Tom Smith, Dino-Mike, Megathruster, 2D6, and FumpFest Guests of Honor Paul and Storm! Kornflake even brought us a special Flopcast interview with The Library Bards, Bonnie and Xander! (And listen carefully for cameos from Jaykitty, Insane Ian, and the great Luke Ski!) We also have a "What's in the Bag" segment (featuring a mysterious liquid Kornflake acquired in Chicago), and we're celebrating National Elephant Day. So come on -- this is the most Fumpfestive podcast you'll hear all day.

Enjoy. 2009's This is Jizzcore parts one AND two is coming up in the next few weeks and then a NEW, ORIGINAL episode with the commentary for THE GOLDEN VAGINA OF FAME AND PROFIT. W00t.
"Part II" of my interview with Brian from The Gothsicles and Eric Gottesman of Everything Goes Cold. Eric just got to the party. Let the stupid flow...
I intended to do 2 separate podcasts-- one with Brian from The Gothsicles and one with Eric Gottesman of Everything Goes Cold, but due to time constraints and Eric showing up at the end of Brian's segment we just forged through and now this is actually part ONE of two. Eric's interview will be next week. Enjoy.
