For the first time ever, we are diving into the True Crime podcast genre. But since we are a bunch of comic book nerds we are doing it in comic form as we discuss Green River Killer, the tale of the real-life detective that spent a huge part of his career trying to track down the afore mentioned serial killer. We are joined this week by Wesley Johnson, who has actually been on more podcast episodes with Jonah than even Kieran has. He also does a lot of cool events for the Daviess County Public Library, which he dives into a bit on the show.Twitter: https://twitter.com/inksandissuesJonah: https://twitter.com/spambot Kieran: https://twitter.com/mrk_bennettWesley: https://twitter.com/westheheroLogan: https://twitter.com/explogan42

Author Marion Blumenthal Lazan shared her story about surviving the Holocaust at the Daviess County Public Library on November 6th, 2013.
This past week, we had a fantastic show with Wesley Johnson of the Daviess County Public Library in Owensboro, KY. He joined us because the library recently hosted an event one of the subjects of the new film "American Animals." Not one of the actors, mind you, but Chas Allen, one of the conspirators/robbers who participated in the crime. Wes joined us to help review the film, and we all listed our favorite heist films (there are a lot of them). Wes was a great guest, and we think you'll enjoy his insight. This show was originally broadcast on Thursday, June 28, 2018, on WLXU 93.9 FM Lexington Community Radio.
Author Richard Paul Evans discusses his work at the Towne Square Mall in Owensboro, KY. This event was sponsored by the Daviess County Public Library and Burns Middle School.
A couple of weeks back, Brandon played the Daviess County Public Library for one of their "Coloring Club" events, something Why They Came and Taylor from Wintering have also played. Afterward, Brandon got to chat with Information Services and Library Associate Lisa Maiden about the Coloring Club, other events at the DCPL, and why it's so important for local libraries to support local art.The Daviess County Public Library has been really good to us over the years, so we hope you'll give this "friends of the family" episode a listen, and support your local library!Weekly Download (FREE to our Supporters on Patreon):"Open Hands" by Sempervivi (2015)Music Video Premiere Thursday, August 4th:https://www.facebook.com/events/617231815118548Help support our efforts at the label by contributing to our page on Patreon. Once a year, the Daviess County Public Library plays host to a short film showcase called Unscripted: An Indie Film Experience. The series, created by filmmaker PJ Starks, is a great to network with filmmakers and find out how they do what they do. This year the library decided to spin the event off into a podcast. For our first installment, we talked to the team behind A Wedding Like That, a great comedy-drama we’ve screened twice at the library. This candid conversation covers the project from concept to completion. We hope to release 1-2 episodes of this a month, so stay tuned! Opening Theme: “Theme From ‘Moneychasers’” – Big Fresh Closing Theme: “au revoir” – Luxury Elite All music used with permission by the artist.
