One pretty reliable way to tell if you're doing God's will or not is to see how the enemy is responding to your actions. Are there obstacles in your way coming seemingly out of nowhere? Pastor Jeff shows you today that Satan is always trying to oppose God's plans, and when your personal actions line up with God's will, that means you are in the enemy's crosshairs. When the road ahead of you is at its toughest, ask the Lord for help to endure. If you're following His will, He will grant your request.
When you are seeking the Lord's guidance for something in your life, you can't just ask once or twice and give up when He doesn't answer. You have to be persistent and push and knock on the door until He answers you. Daniel understood this, and he knocked and knocked until he heard from the Lord. He doesn't do this to be a withholding Father, but instead, Pastor Jeff teaches you today that it teaches perseverance, it teaches you to be persistent in doing the things of God, even when it's hard.
Chapter 10 of the Book of Daniel shifts from historical narrative to apocalyptic dream literature, similar to what is told in the Book of Revelation. Whether we are aware of it or not, there is a constant spiritual battle being fought around us and within us. Daniel's visions reveal that there is something we can do about these spirits and that there is One Great, Glorious Man who comes exactly when and how we need. SERIES SUMMARY: The Book of Daniel chronicles a time in the history of God's people when the Israelites found themselves in exile in a society that didn't understand or tolerate the truth of the one true God. As such, it is arguably the most relevant book in the Bible for 21st century Christians navigating a pluralistic society that encourages them to privatize their faith. The courage of Daniel and his friends, emboldened by God's promises, provides us with a pathway forward. This week we are looking at Hebrews 2-5-13. Our passage once again has us looking at Psalm 8, a psalm we are becoming familiar with, and wondering, 'Who will reign over the new world--' Though humanity has fallen far short of God's intended glory in the Garden of Eden, Jesus has not. Through humbling himself to be a man and suffering death on our behalf, he has become the perfect captain of our salvation. He is crowned now in glory and will reign in the new world-a glory and a reign that we share in grace and faith.

Daniel 10:1-11 New King James Version (NKJV) Vision of the Glorious Man 10 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar. Hebrews 2 (ESV) Warning Against Neglecting Salvation 2 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. 2 For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution, 3 how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard, 4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. The Founder of Salvation 5 For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking. 6 It has been testified somewhere, “What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him? 7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor,[a] 8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. 9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source.[b] That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers,[c] 12 saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” 13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.” 14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Things are heating up between Kevin Von Erich and Gentleman Chris Adams, who compete on this show in a lumberjack match. In a match that was probably plucked directly out of the World Renowned Historian's imagination, the Midnight Express challenge the Fantastics for the American Tag Team Titles. I don't want to alarm anybody, but this match was very good. Iceman King Parsons takes on Rip Oliver in a bout that was better than the WRH expected. In any event, here before they were stars (apologies, Scott Baio), or maybe while they were stars, you get to see the Midnights, the Fantastics, Rip Oliver, Kevin Von Erich and Chris Adams the trainer of both Scott Hall and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
