Middle of the city, middle of the day - millions of Angelenos got a big jolt. It broke a water pipe at Pasadena City Hall, but there are no reports of major damage. Does the series of recent quakes portend anything about what we're in for in the future? And with the Olympic flag officially in Los Angeles, how realistic is the pipe dream of a car-free 2028 games? I went to Los Angeles and Pasadena and South Pasadena this week to tie up some loose ends from when I moved from there. Geez, man, it felt like no time had passed, even though I hadn't been there in 2 months. Driving around there, I felt like I could just go home to my old apartment and hang out there with my cats. Dang, man, I'm sad. I'm sadder than death cuz I miss that place so bad. But the friend I stayed with down there said I can come on down any time, so that's good. At least I can tool around in my old stomping grounds every few months or so.The picture is Pasadena City Hall that I took a few months before I moved. It's a really cool building. I dunno why the picture came out sideways.

On today's episode of the podcast, we are coming to you LIVE from Pasadena Comic Con! Austin Grant and I went to the Pasadena Convention Center to check out this one day convention and we had such a great time! On this episode we also had a chance to talk with Jim Hillin about his new comic book, "Zombie Bunnies", as well as Margaret Kerry who was the original model/actress for Tinkerbell.  Both Jim and Margaret had great stories to tell, and incredible back grounds as well! Aside from Tinkerbell, Margaret was in over 100 of the 3 Stooges episodes, as well as episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. We later found out Jim has worked on films such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, I Am Legend, Suicide Squad, and the upcoming Mary Poppins film, just to name a few.  After leaving to convention, Austin and I took a short walk through Pasadena to check out Pasadena City Hall, which was used as Pawnee City Hall in Parks and Rec. We also stopped at a small antiques mall where we found Party Deer and had a dainty tea party.  A huge Thanks to Pasadena Comic Con for allowing us to come to the convention. We had such a great time and look forward to coming back next year. Also a big thank you Jim Hillin and Margaret Kerry for talking with us on this episode. They were so kind and so fascinating to talk to.  Enjoy the episode.  VISIT www.onthemicpodcast.com for more, including links to Zombie Bonnies and Margarter Kerry's book, "Tinker Bell Talks".
