AP correspondent Charles de Ledesma reports hundreds of people displaced by the recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia are living in temporary shelters.

AP correspondent Karen Chammas reports the rescue effort continues in Indonesia after a 7.7 quake rocked the archipelago on Saturday.

At least 5,000 people have been displaced by a powerful earthquake in Indonesia .. 53 people have have died. Rescuers are continuing to search for survivors after the shallow magnitude 7.7 quake, which struck the island of Flores shortly before 5am local time on Saturday. More than 900 homes and hundreds of other buildings have been severely damaged by the tremor and there have been 341 aftershocks. Jakarta-based correspondent Michael Neilson spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
