In the state of Colorado a battle of gun rights has been brewing as House Bill 1177 (Extreme Risk Protection Orders) moves towards the Governor's desk. If the bill becomes law it would allow family members or law enforcement to petition a judge to issue a temporary extreme risk protection order for a person thought to be a threat, after which that person’s weapons could be seized for up to a year. Several Colorado jurisdictions have passed resolutions denouncing the bill. Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser in response to those resolutions issued a statement telling local law enforcement that they swore an “oath to uphold the rule of law”. Lesley Hollywood, Founder of Rally for our Rights, will join me to discuss the issue and the group's efforts to defend Second Amendment rights in Colorado. Don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day! All of this and more as time allows. Listen live, join the chatroom, be a part of the show.
