The Ukrainian parliament just voted to extend martial law for another 90 days. That means no elections and no chance for the people to democratically oust the tyrant Zelensky from his throne. Zelensky and his militia are still kidnapping people and now, horrifically, have turned to training children as young as 10 for war. Hopefully, however, peace is on the horizon, and Donald Trump is able to finally cement a deal. Next up, Dan Reid of the NRA joins the show to discuss all things gun rights. Colorado and Oregon have both moved to pass draconian Second Amendment-suppressing bills. The question is, is that even constitutional? Lastly, Karemlo Anthony, the 17-year-old who murdered student Austin Metcalf, is now free with a whole rally of support behind him. Is our social fabric unraveling by design? You'll have to stick around and find out. All this and more on today's Untamed.

Proposed amendments to South African Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) regulations will “basically control the possession of firearms everywhere” - and will “constrain the ability of the security industry to respond to potentially dangerous situations”. This is the warning from attorney Martin Hood who is concerned that there's “some terminology in these proposals that are ideological - and I think that they've overstepped the mark, and there's going to be consequences for them that may be very difficult for them to deal with”. Hood says the government's view of the private security industry as a threat is “completely unjustified…The private security industry is not going to be the spearhead of a revolution in this country. It actually stopped that in July of 2021.” He urges the public to lodge objections to the proposed amendments, and adds: “the view of the industry is that these proposals are unlawful.…the industry and broader society may have no option but to take them to court because the consequence of them coming into effect in the way that they are will be an adverse consequence on the ability of all of us to protect ourselves and our assets”.

Why do mass shootings occur? Trigger Points author Mark Follman explains warning signs, behavioral assessment, and how to stop attacks before they happen.Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1140What We Discuss with Mark Follman:Mass shootings are not random events, but involve a "pathway to violence" where perpetrators plan their attacks over time, showing warning signs that create opportunities for intervention.Mental illness is not the primary cause of mass shootings. While mental health issues may be present, perpetrators are typically making deliberate choices driven by factors like anger, isolation, and perceived grievances rather than psychosis. Many mass shooters seek notoriety and are influenced by previous attackers through emulation behavior — they want to transform from nobody to somebody through violence and media attention.Warning signs that appear before attacks often include threatening communications, research/planning behaviors, significant life stressors, and social isolation — but these must be evaluated collectively rather than as a checklist.Behavioral threat assessment teams offer an effective prevention approach by bringing together mental health professionals, law enforcement, and educators to identify at-risk individuals and provide constructive interventions like counseling, education support, and family involvement — showing that these tragedies can be prevented with the right collaborative approach. And much more...And if you're still game to support us, please leave a review here — even one sentence helps! They highlight the role of administration policies and the return of egg-laying birds after millions were culled to curb bird flu.Next, they dissect Trump's decision to pull Rep. Stefanik's U.N. nomination—not due to her qualifications but because he needs every Republican vote in Congress. They also suggest it signals concerns over the GOP's ability to win a special election in Florida next week and hold Stefanik's seat in New York. Finally, they shake their heads as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer pushes a ban on ninja swords in response to rising knife and sword attacks. Unsurprisingly, these attacks increased greatly after the UK enacted strict gun control. Alex Aragona speaks with Tim Thurley about gun policy in Canada, discussing the current state of firearm regulations, the shift away from a past political consensus, and whether recent legislative changes are effectively targeting crime. They explore the role of licensing, background checks, and storage laws, as well as the impact of smuggled firearms and high-profile policy changes like Bill C-21 and the handgun freeze. Thurley argues that recent policy shifts focus on legal gun owners while failing to address the main sources of gun crime in Canada. Media and politicians constantly warn about the dangers of firearms. They say too many people have guns. But Black Guns Matters founder Maj Toure says there should be more guns! “Everybody should be walking around and like, oh man, I left my gun in the house. Let me go back and get it,” says Toure. “Everybody?” I ask. “Everybody.” He says that would make America freer and safer, especially in black communities, which he says, have been disproportionately hurt by gun control laws. “All gun control is racist,” says Toure. “It was literally started to stop black people from having the means to defend themselves.” That's why he started his group, Black Guns Matter. He wants to empower his community through firearms education and training. In our full interview, Toure explains more about his organization, why gun control is racist, and how self-defense is essential for freedom.
