Typically, when we talk about the birth of Christ, it’s during Christmas. But the coming of Christ is far too important to mention only once a year. The hypostatic union—Jesus being fully God and fully man—is one of the most remarkable and profound events in history. He walked among us and shared in our human experience, yet, He was completely divine. In this sermon, we will explore the significance of Jesus being both God and man. What does it mean? How was it possible? And why does it matter for us today? Visit us online at: RenewalChurch.net
The name given to Jesus at His birth was Emmanuel which means “God with us”. Christmas reminds us that our God has come close in the form of Jesus. No matter where we find ourselves today, God is close to us and so is redemption.

Have you had something that hasn't gone as planned this year? How did you react when your plans were interrupted or messed with? Many of us resist those events and we cling to our plans tightly. But, as we see in the Christmas story, God often interrupts our plans and invites us to follow Him into new ones. In this message, Scott Savages shares from Matthew 1:18-25 about three ways we can surrender to God with us in those moments. Also, near the end of this message, Scott is joined by Jennifer Myers who shares her story of how she experienced God with her through deep grief and pain.
Trusting God’s plan can be difficult when it seems impossible, but if we remember His Word and expect His salvation, it should empower our faith.
Jesus is the Son of God who took on human flesh to save His people from their sins.
