There are two gates; you must decide, the broad wide way, heading for destruction, or the narrow way, heading for eternal, blissful life. Luke 13:24 "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." Mat 7:13-14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
In Jesus' conclusion to the Sermon on the Mount, He urges the importance of doing what He commands. This sermon explores the challenge of works and salvation by showing that Jesus calls us to obedience—something entirely different than works.
We BECOME what or who we reflect. We BECOME what we pay attention to, and far too many of us are paying way too much attention to our phones – which means we are not hearing God’s voice: “You are my beloved child – and you are becoming like me!” In this message, Max Vanderpool makes a case for why putting Scripture before phone will better position you to hear God's voice and experience the Fruit of the Spirit in your life.

If you don't know what's IN The Bible, you're going to spend your entire life just guessing. And because you're an American, you'll be making up what you think Jesus is like. (And here's the thing: Americans almost always think Jesus is just like them. If they CARE about environment, Jesus would care about the environment. If they care about unborn babies, Jesus would care about unborn babies.) Sometimes, you'll guess right, but often you'll guess WRONG. Why guess? Read or listen to The Bible. Regularly. And read or listen to the Gospels and Acts, because knowing is better than guessing.

ADVENT - Week 1 - HOPE 2 Roads - 2 Prophets - 2 Builders "Which Will You Follow?"
The Lord Jesus describes “two paths of life” where each person must choose a destiny. One is “the broad way” with a wide gate leading to Hell. The path to Heaven is a “narrow way” with a strait, narrow gate. All Scripture teaches there are just two paths and two kinds of people. Psalm 1:6 mentions “the way of righteous” and “the way of the ungodly.” Defining the Christian Life Biblically – Matthew 7:13-14 Deceptions We Must Avoid – Matthew 7:15-16 The Cross-The Road That is Our Hope – Matthew 27:54

2019 Fellowship Meeting. Elder Harvey Bates presents the necessity of pressing into the strait gate of discipleship. Our lives must be built upon the rock of none other than Jesus Christ, to dig deep to find that solid foundation. We withstand and flesh out the false prophets of this world by being founded on that rock, judging them by the standard of God's holy word.
Only by believing and practising Jesus' words can we avoid destruction.
Many today say their saved when they really not.
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24
Our society is always looking for a hero, but there is only one true Savior who should be all of our hero!

If you like to run with the crowd, kingdom living will challenge that desire. If you decide to follow Christ, don’t expect to run with the crowd. A decision to follow Christ is a decision to go against the crowd. Our lives are filled with decisions, some important while others unimportant. The most critical of all is our decision about Jesus Christ and His kingdom which determines our eternal destiny.
