Fear has a way of making everything feel slippery, so we go back to something solid: Scripture. We start with Psalm 71 and its blunt, human plea for protection, then we pray the Lord's Prayer and ask God to guard our hearts, guide our words, and steady our families. Along the way, I reference real-world stories of violence and exploitation that are hard to hear, not to dwell on shock, but to name the reality of evil and the responsibility we carry to protect the vulnerable and seek what is right.From there we turn to the Bible's practical wisdom and hope. Proverbs speaks plainly about conflict in the home, and Luke 8 brings us face-to-face with Jesus' power and compassion as He heals a woman who can't be hidden in the crowd and tells a grieving father not to be afraid. These Gospel moments aren't abstract theology, they're a call to persistent faith when your situation looks final.I also share my conviction that salvation is a choice and that every person decides what they will trust: money, government, cultural narratives, or Jesus Christ. In that short amount of time, we've seen deportation raids on workplaces, homes, schools, churches. Congress is confirming some of the most inexperienced and dangerous people to head our Defense and Intelligence agencies. All out attack on transgendered citizens. The release of violent terrorists back into our communities. The co-President delivering Nazi salutes to followers, then trying to gaslight us by suggesting that it was "a Roman salute". Next up: inflation inducing tariffs. So we all have to choose. Are we simply going to allow ourselves to be victimized? Are we going to become an organized resistance movement? Or will we be conspirators? My guest today is underwater Portrait Photographer , Jennifer Tanksley-Coss. Jennifer grew up eating, breathing, and drinking the film industry, having been introduced to it through her stepfather's business in camera rentals and production in Germany. Her career began straight out of high school, where she quickly excelled as a High Speed Camera Technician, working on commercials and motion pictures across Europe. At the time, she was one of the sales support members on the manufacturing side of the business, contributing in R&D as the product line began to grow. Jennifer's expertise led her to join Local600, marking the start of a 15-year career as a camera assistant in Los Angeles-before choosing to leave her work in the industry to concentrate on raising her children. When they were old enough for her to return to work- she realized she couldn't go back to what she was doing before - and at 43 created a whole new career by herself, and for herself! One where she was finally able to express her vision in a creative way through photography .
