Welcome to another Double Edged Double Bill, boils and ghouls! This week, Adam Thomas and Thomas Mariani continue the spooky season with an episode on horror anthology films! First up is the bad feature Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, one of the worst films our duo has ever covered. Then, our boys squeal with delight over the good feature Trick R Treat, one of the best films covered for the show. So much like your average horror anthology, it's a mixed bag. This leads to our duo asking many questions. Does Anson Mount play the worst character in cinematic history? Is Dylan Baker a leather vampire daddy fetishist? What will the next two films be for next week's episode on the A Nightmare on Elm Street series? Well tune in for two terrifying tales to find out, kiddies! To stay up to date, follow us on Twitter @DEDBpod, on Facebook and send feedback to doubleedgeddoublebill@gmail.com! If you like the show, please subscribe or rate us on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher or The ESO Network!
The pod takes its first foray into the anthology format with the perhaps unconventional choice of Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror. Snoop may not be known for his directorial brilliance, but the three shorts that make up the Hood of Horror do offer some surprises. What Snoop is known for is smoking weed every day, and this movie was definitely made with people who share his habit in mind. Grab your mind-altering substance of choice and join Bill and Coop as they try to tease out what Snoop was trying to say with this film, speculate on which hip hop stars would make the best horror movies, and wonder whether Snoop is into hentai.
We decided to watch a movie we've never seen or heard of before, "Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror." It sounds great right? WRONG. Oh, how wrong we all were for this one. Listen as we talk about how much we hate this movie, the actors, the script and everything that wasn't Snoop Dogg. Intro Music - Free Songs to Use: Seum Dero - "Stories" [FSTU Release]
Snoop Dogg playing the messenger of the devil....what's not to love?! Samuel Spencer and Sam Cleal find out as they watch 'Hood of Horror', a scary anthology movie starring the Doggfather himself.
After two solid months of horror and Halloween movies, my 60 Days of Halloween coverage is drawing to a close. Having just finished up Anthology Week, the last week leading up to Halloween will be comprised of some of my favorite Halloween movies. The movies for Halloween Favorites Week won't necessarily be the scariest, or even necessarily the best, horror movies...but they are movies that I just always love to watch around Halloween (even if I've already watched them several times throughout the year). So, join me as I discuss Trick 'r Treat, Creepshow, Cat's Eye, Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, and Tales from the Darkside for Anthology Week...along with my plans for Halloween Favorites Week!! If you enjoy this episode, check back soon for more Halloween movie coverage in my 60 Days of Halloween. Next up will be my coverage of the Knoxville Horror F
