In last week's news roundup, we did a short segment about the Hallow App. It's a subscription-based app that helps you pray and learn about scripture with celebrity spokespeople. It's also partially funded by Peter Thiel and JD Vance, people actively involved in building surveillance technology. We had some concerns! A writer named Nancy Flanders did not appreciate the segment! She wrote an article for the anti-abortion organization Live Action about our segment, strangely focusing on our criticism of Chris Pratt, even though he was just a minor part of the segment. We love connecting with new audiences! To meet this new-found demand for our content amongst the anti-abortion crowd, we're taking a deep dive into the Hallow app. We'll take a close look at their investors, those investors' connections to the Trump administration and creation of a surveillance state, privacy concerns with the app, and the motley crew of scumbags the app has hired as spokespeople. We'll also talk about Chris Pratt a little more. We know what you like. Let us know what you think about Chris Pratt, or anything else, by emailing hello@tangoti.com or leaving a comment on Spotify. Your Feminist Buzzkills are pouring out all the latest abobo-related tea that is bound to curdle your girdle! Nobody is coming to save us, folks—we're doing the damn thing ourselves. Lizz and Moji lay out how the Trump administration is using a law written to protect abortion providers to prosecute Don Lemon! And Texas continues to Texas, as The Turning Point USA-ssholes at Texas Tech are out here banning the speech of abortion providers on their campus. And in other “Texas-men-pissing-us-off” news: another Lone Star loser is testing the misogynistic waters of shiny new anti-abobo law that allows him to sue a California doctor for legally prescribing abortion pills to his girlfriend. Creeps need some hobbies y'all. GUEST ROLL CALL Karen Thompson, Legal Director of Pregnancy Justice, is in the house! Karen is sounding the alarm with Lizz and Moji on pregnancy criminalization as she dives into the overt and covert ways this government is policing pregnancy outcomes—information we ALL need to know! PLUS! Abby Govindan is here!Do not fear—Buzzkills have comedy, m'dear! The comedian and writer stops by to share how she navigates the world as a child of immigrants and gives a sneak peek into her new solo show, “Pushing 30”. It's our (least) favorite time of the year – the March for Life, womp womp womp. AKA, the 100,000 person mega anti-abortion circle jerk in Washington, DC, where harassholes spend some of the coldest days of the year outside, yelling misinformation about abortion pill in the drinking water, fetus Ozempic, and pagan skulls all while staying silent as hell about ICE killing people and detaining children. As always, your Feminist Buzzkills are breaking it all down. GUEST ROLL CALL! Your latest treasure unlocked from the Now We Know vault, originally released to the Patreon on 08/25/22 — our dive into the strange world of the long-lost live-action Sailor Moon pilot, produced by Toon Makers, with an eye towards American television. Oscillating between American-style animation and live-action sequences (somewhat similar to the Japanese action source footage paired with western high school TV drama featured in Power Rangers), this thing was, until relatively recently, a whispered-about relic, only screened once or twice at enthusiast festivals over the intervening decades. But now, you can watch it, like we did, and listen to us talk about it, like all decent folk should.
Ahead of the March for Life, Pope Leo XIV sends a special message to participants. Meanwhile, Live Action's Lila Rose warns of abortion pill dangers on Capitol Hill. And, amid Pope Leo's push for unity, Christians observe a Week of Prayer.

Disney's live-action Tangled has its rumored leads, with Teagan Croft set to play Rapunzel and Milo Manheim cast as Flynn Rider. In this quick headline, we talk about why this movie comes down to chemistry, what Flynn and Rapunzel need to feel like on screen, and the big question mark: does Disney lean into the songs, add new ones, or play it safer and ditch the musical angle altogether?00:00 Casting news and quick background on both actors00:17 Why Rapunzel and Flynn chemistry is the whole movie00:31 The music factor and what Disney might do with the songs00:45 Listener reactions and sign-offTeagan Croft (best known for Titans) is reportedly Disney's live-action Rapunzel.Milo Manheim (Disney's Zombies franchise) is reportedly set for Flynn Rider. The make-or-break element is their chemistry and that push-pull dynamic early on.Live-action Disney success often depends on whether the music lands with the audience. There's a real possibility Disney changes the song approach, or skips songs entirely.“When you think of Tangled, what's the key? It's going to be the chemistry between these two.”“If the chemistry doesn't work for these two, the movie won't work.”“Maybe they won't do songs at all, which I think might be the safer bet.”If you enjoyed the quick breakdown, subscribe to Geek Freaks Headlines, leave a review, and share this episode using #GeekFreaksHeadlines.GeekFreaksPodcast.com is the source of all news discussed on Geek Freaks Headlines.Twitter: @geekfreakspodInstagram: @geekfreakspodcastThreads: @geekfreakspodcastPatreon: Geek Freaks PodcastWhat do you want Disney to prioritize for live-action Tangled: casting chemistry, the music, or the visuals? Patrick answers listener questions about faith sacrifices, the challenge of attending Mass from remote areas, and what the Church says about intimacy in marriage. His answers are blunt and compassionate, shifting quickly between stories from callers and firm pro-life guidance, never shying away from hard emotional truths, especially around abortion and IVF. Personal anecdotes and candid advice fill the hour with tension and empathy. John (email) – There isn’t a Catholic Church near me. Should I go to a Protestant Church or watch a Catholic Mass online? (01:03) Erika (email) - Within marriage, is various touching and intimate actions as well as different positions (during the marriage act) morally permissible as long as it all leads up to the act being completed in the normal way? (06:10) Elijah - I worked in a shipyard in Alaska and would drive close to 2 hours to Church after working a full day of work. It is doable. (12:22) Email – Question about abortion (18:27) Audio: Former abortionist Anthony Levatino "I did 1200 abortions, 1st and 2nd trimester. 1 was for rape, 2 were for incest, 9 or 10 were for genetic effects. And all the rest of them were healthy moms and healthy kids.” "People don’t want to believe that, but it’s the truth." https://x.com/LifeNewsHQ/status/1992988281366253650 (28:39) Audio: Abortion hurts men, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1NQOFu7cAc&ab_channel=LiveAction (30:37) Joan - I agree with everything you have said. I had abortions over 50 years ago. I was talked into it. (36:59) Ann - My daughter had cancer during the summer, and they made her get an abortion. Also, her husband and her had an embryo frozen. What does the Church teach on this? (40:07) Originally aired on 12/03/25
