Today, we are pleased to welcome Cecil Seagle as our guest preacher. Cecil was married to Peggie Hames Seagle for 63 years. Together, they served Jesus' Church as pastor and wife for over 20 years. Cecil led the Florida Baptist Convention's mission division for 25 years. He also served as the Executive Director for the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana for six years before retiring to Florida eight years ago. Since then, Cecil has continued to serve churches as an Interim Pastor and guest preacher. He is, of course, best known for being Mark Seagle's dad!
In this message from the Summer Psalms series, Pastor Jeff explores Psalm 103 and the deep, unwavering compassion of God. Through a gripping personal story of a highway accident and the mixed responses of bystanders, we're reminded that human compassion can be unpredictable—but God's compassion never fails. Pastor Jeff unpacks three powerful truths from the psalm: God's tender mercy renews us, His faithful love secures our future, and His sovereign kindness inspires praise. Drawing from David's words, listeners are called to remember God's past faithfulness, respond with wholehearted praise, and personally embrace the grace that transforms hearts and secures eternity. This message is both a challenge and a comfort for anyone seeking hope, renewal, and a deeper relationship with the God whose love never lets go.

In this special outdoor baptism service, Pastor Jeff brings a powerful word from Psalm 63, reminding us that even when everything looks perfect on the outside, our souls can still be dry and parched. Drawing from David's honest cry for God in the desert, Jeff shows how spiritual thirst is not something to ignore—it's a gift that can lead us to real abundance. Through stories both humorous and sobering, from drained lakes to headless cow rumors, we're invited to examine what's beneath the surface of our lives. What are we reaching for when our souls are dry? And are we ready to stop pretending and truly run after God? If you've been feeling empty or distant, this episode is an invitation to lean into that thirst and find your way back to the only source that satisfies.
Psalm 73 presents to us a very relatable scenario, in which a believer is struggling with all that's unfair and lopsided towards injustice our world. Asaph confesses his faith in a Good and Sovereign God, yet admits his confidence had been shaken. Listen as we seek to understand Asaph's plight and compare it to our own battles. We'll see how he found perspective and hope, and how we might as well.
Life is full of waits. We're all too familiar with waiting - but do we see God in them? Most of our waits are wasted, spent holding our breath until they end or raising our fists while they persist. What if there was a way to redeem our waits and obtain a unique blessing from God in their midst? Listen as Psalm 40 guides us through our struggles and shows us how to be patient and endure every wait. God promises a revelation that we will only discover on this path and calls us to share all that we learn.

What is true for learning to walk is also true for learning to follow Jesus. What if every pain you've ever faced was simply evidence of something new God was trying to create in you? Join us for Track 4 of The Summer Psalms Mixtape, where we will explore Psalm 69 to see how Jesus' suffering is a model for our own.

What do you do when fear creeps in and threatens to overwhelm your peace? In this episode, we dive into Psalm 27, where King David shows us what it means to face fear with unwavering faith. Jesus screamed out the opening words of Psalm 22 from the cross. Written by King David, it describes a time when he was publicly humiliated and executed. It also explains how his humiliation led to the redemption of all nations. But there's one problem: this never actually happened to King David. Jewish readers couldn't understand what this Psalm was about until the death of Jesus on the cross. Listen in on track 3 of the Summer Psalms Mixtape as we explore the mystery of Psalm 22.
