As we kick off our new series Questions Jesus Asked, Pastor Gabe helps us wrestle with Jesus question to his followers, do you take offense at this? For the final sermon in our series Summer of the Spirit, Pastor Gabe shows us how in the Spirit we are given life, adopted as God's children, and given a forever hope in the face of suffering.

In Pastor Marcus's first sermon after returning from his sabbatical, he preaches on the "Fruit of the Spirit". In this message, Pastor Marcus reminds us that we should walk by the Spirit, bear good fruit, and gas each other up.

As Pastor Gabe preaches on Romans 8, we see St. Paul makes a remarkable claim. He says, the Holy Spirit groans for us with longings too deep for words. The Spirit of God takes our pain, suffering, and longings that we don't even have words for and brings them to God on our behalf. As we recognize the intimacy and love God has for us, we are given hope in the God who works all things for good.

Pastor Randy continues our 'Summer of the Spirit' with a message on the 'Gifts of the Spirit'. Pastor Randy reminds us that gifts flow from grace, your gift is not your gift, so grow up, out, and together.

Pastor Gabe continues our Summer of the Spirit, with a message titled Life in the Spirit. So often we assume the Spirit only shows up in big extravagant ways or through ecstatic experiences, but more often than not, the Spirit is at work in our ordinary lives. He unites us to Christ and his righteousness, shapes our desires towards the things of God, and will one day raise us as he raised Christ.

Pastor Randy Duncan continues our sermon series with a message titled 'Born of the Spirit'. In this sermon, Pastor Randy reminds us that religion can't rebirth you, the Spirit gives birth to Spirit, and the wind blows where it wills, so look to the cross and live.

Pastor Randy continues our "Summer of the Spirit" sermon series with a message on "The Work of the Spirit". Pastor Randy teaches that the Spirit comes because Jesus goes, and the Spirit convicts the world, guides into truth, and glorifies Jesus.

As we continue our sermon series, Summer of the Spirit, Pastor Gabe unpacks how the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. In a time in which it is increasingly hard to know what's true, Jesus invites us to listen to the Spirit of Truth to navigate the world by the light of God's Word.

Pastor Randy Duncan preaches his first sermon as a pastor at ULC with a message on 'Who is the Holy Spirit?'. Pastor Randy reminds us that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, so we should quit acting like an orphan, row less, and sail more.

On the day of Pentecost the first followers of Jesus are filled with the Holy Spirit. They begin to proclaim the mighty works of God and invite all people to call upon the Lord and be saved and experience life in the Spirit.

As we close our sermon series Salvation., Pastor Gabe unpacks sanctification. In this sermon we explore sanctification in the broad sense, the narrow sense, and how sanctification leads to joy!

Mortification. It's a fun word with a serious meaning. Mortification is about killing sin in our lives. In this sermon, Pastor Gabe shares that we kill sin because of who we are in Christ and the invitation we have to live fully into that identity.

When Jesus meets with Nicodemus he tells him that in order to enter the kingdom of heaven he must be born again. He must be given new life. As we continue our sermon series Salvation, Pastor Gabe teaches on how that new life is given to us by the power of the Spirit.

Pastor Gabe Kasper continues our sermon series “Salvation.” with a message on “Election”. Pastor Gabe breaks down three questions: What is election? Why does election matter? How do I know if I'm elect?

Pastor Marcus Lane continues our sermon series with a message on "Theosis". What is theosis? It is not becoming less human and more spiritual. Rather, theosis is the discovery of the fullness of our humanity participation in and communion with the divine life of God by being joined to Jesus. Pastor Marcus teaches us that theosis is from God, is for your neighbor, and brings newness.

Pastor Marcus Lane continues our sermon series "Salvation." with a message on "Justification". Pastor Marcus reminds us that justification is not a matter of our own efforts, and what we can do to make ourselves worthy before God, but rather justification is simply a gift, and the gift was costly, so be humble.

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is true and because of that that our we are redeemed from sin, death, and the devil. His redemption won for us in the empty tomb is for everyone and forever, that's worth celebrating!

For our Good Friday gathering, Pastor Gabe and Pastor Marcus, along with STEPS student James Wilson, reflect on Jesus' final words on the cross.

Pastor Marcus Lane wrapped up our series on the "Seven Deadly Sins" with a Maundy Thursday message on "Pride". Pastor Marcus highlighted the humility of Jesus and how humility suffers, gives, and serves.

Envy is discontentment with what one has and wanting what someone else has. Envy is enslaving and it disintegrates relationships. But the good news of Palm Sunday is our liberating King Jesus came to set us free from envy's grasp.

Pastor Marcus Lane continues our series on the "Seven Deadly Sins" with a message on "Sloth". Pastor Marcus points us to three things for how we might understand and avoid sloth: watch yourself, stay awake, and hear Jesus.

All of life is meant to be lived before God. We are called to follow Jesus in every facet of our lives, this includes our relationship to food and drink. As we begin our Lenten journey through the 7 Deadly Sins, Pastor Gabe kicks us off this Ash Wednesday by reflecting on Romans 6, where we see that sin is slavery, sin is death, but the great hope we have is the grace given to us by our Savior Jesus Christ.
