The Industry Relations Podcast is now available on your favorite podcast player! Overview In this episode, Rob and Greg dive into the controversy surrounding CRMLS's End User License Agreement (EULA) and the debate over MLS data ownership. The discussion begins with updates in the MLS world that brought attention to how CRMLS's EULA—originally updated for two-factor authentication—resurfaced older language asserting MLS ownership of listing data. Rob argues that this fundamental change to broker data rights was poorly communicated, while Greg defends CRMLS, emphasizing the operational benefits and the long-standing nature of the clause. The two debate whether brokers were properly informed, what this means for data copyright, and if MLSs should have done more outreach when the change occurred. Key Takeaways Origin of the Issue: CRMLS's update around two-factor authentication drew attention to older language asserting MLS ownership of listing data. Miscommunication Fallout: Many brokers—and even industry insiders—were unaware of this language, leading to confusion and criticism. Refkin's Role: Compass CEO Robert Reffkin's public posts sparked renewed scrutiny, prompting industrywide debate about transparency and data rights. Ownership vs. Protection: Rob questions whether MLSs need to claim ownership to protect data; Greg argues it benefits brokers by organizing and monetizing data more effectively. Governance Concerns: Rob challenges whether MLS boards can alter members' property rights without broader consent; Greg notes such changes are vetted by directors and attorneys. Communication Failure: Both agree MLSs must improve how they notify and educate brokers about major policy shifts. Potential Next Steps: Rob suggests bringing CRMLS's Ed Zorn and an affected broker on a future episode to clarify the rationale and implications. In this rerun of episode #281, hosts Drs. May and Tim Hindmarsh interview neurologist-psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Howard, author of We Want Them Infected. Dr. Howard critiques the widely discussed “herd immunity via infection” strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic. He draws on his dual specialties and hospital experience at institutions like NYU Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to explore how public health policy, vaccine deployment, lockdowns, school closures, and early treatment approaches intersected — sometimes with unintended consequences. The episode highlights ethical questions around using children as vectors of infection, the tension between hospital frontline realities and broad public-health strategies, and the importance of open discussion in medicine rather than censorship. Beyond Labels: A Powerful Night of Truth & Hope About Mental Health brought together leading medical and mental health professionals to uncover how today's healthcare system profits from lifelong patients instead of healing them. Hosted by Dr. Ben, with keynote speakers Dr. Tim Hindmarsh and Dr. Roger McFillin, the event revealed the hidden incentives behind mental health diagnoses and prescriptions—and the spiritual, emotional, and practical tools for breaking free.Dr. Hindmarsh, co-host of BS Free MD, shared his inside view of how the healthcare system transformed from saving lives to monetizing chronic illness. He exposed how government programs, insurance metrics, and pharmaceutical influence have turned human suffering into a business model—and how true healing requires reclaiming personal responsibility and autonomy.Dr. McFillin, clinical psychologist and host of The Radically Genuine Podcast, offered a powerful counter-narrative to the chemical imbalance myth. He explored the spiritual and energetic roots of mental health, the dangers of over-medication, and how emotions like pain and fear are not disorders but messages guiding us toward purpose and truth.Together, they delivered an urgent wake-up call: to move beyond fear, beyond dependency, and beyond labels—toward a world where healing begins with awareness, connection, and sovereignty over one's mind, body, and soul. At most law schools, only top students (typically those already with scholarships) will secure six-figure jobs. In this episode, Drs. May and Tim welcome two unconventional voices shaking up medicine—Dr. Jeremy Ayres, known internationally as “Dr. Jeremy,” and producer-turned-health advocate John Gusty. Jeremy shares his remarkable path from osteopath to holistic healer, revealing the mentors and moments that shaped his philosophy of true medicine—healing that empowers the body rather than fights it. John recounts how his wife's diagnosis of multiple sclerosis led him to question everything he knew about health, industry, and truth, ultimately finding hope through Jeremy's guidance. Together, they expose the overlap between media influence and medical control, explaining how societal conditioning keeps people sick and dependent. Their message is simple yet radical: healing begins when we reclaim curiosity, question dogma, and return to the natural intelligence of the human body.

Molecular-medicine expert Dr. Nathan Bryan explains how nitric oxide (NO) protects the endothelium, drives vasodilation, and influences energy, immunity, hormones, and longevity. He links stubborn hypertension and poor exercise tolerance to the microbiome–NO axis and outlines common NO killers—antiseptic mouthwashes and fluoride overuse, chronic PPIs, ultra-processed diets, and inactivity. We cover practical restores (movement, nutrient-dense food, targeted micronutrients, careful PPI weaning, ditching antiseptic rinses) and preview clinical work on NO-releasing lozenges for ischemic heart disease, approaches to improve cerebral blood flow and insulin signaling in cognitive decline, and topical NO for chronic wounds. Bryan also touches on food quality (glyphosate, soil health), hormone synergy with NO, and NO-based skincare that supports perfusion and collagen. Bottom line: rebuild NO, and the body's own repair systems can finally do their job.(Educational only; not personal medical advice.)Guest BioNathan S. Chris Cooksey's story is one of grit, crashes, and comeback. Once a competitive motocross racer, Chris faced years of repeated concussions and the silent toll of traumatic brain injury. Like many athletes, he watched friends struggle with depression and even suicide, recognizing the urgent need to explore alternative treatments beyond pills and standard protocols. In this conversation, Chris opens up about his personal path to healing, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine therapy. He describes how these interventions helped reopen neural pathways, restoring emotional connection and impulse control after years of numbness and frustration. Chris also speaks candidly about the culture of denial in motocross, where head injuries are often minimized and riders are pushed back on the track too soon.Beyond racing, Chris has built a career as a journalist, media personality, and real estate professional, using his platform to shed light on brain health, challenge entrenched systems, and advocate for mental resilience. His journey highlights the intersection of high-risk sports, mental health awareness, and the courage to find unconventional paths to recovery.GUEST BIOChris Cooksey is a former professional motocross racer turned journalist, media personality, and real estate professional. Drs. Tim and May tackle a wild week of stories blending medicine, politics, and cultural insanity. They kick off with the Tylenol–autism debate reignited by Trump's comments and the social media meltdown that followed. The discussion pivots to how much of a physician's or teacher's personal life should impact their career, with jaw-dropping stories: an anesthesiologist leaving mid-surgery for a “comfort break” with a nurse, a teacher protesting topless outside her school, and another busted for cocaine after a drug dog sniffed her purse. The conversation sharpens with Jimmy Kimmel's controversial comments about Charlie Kirk, his temporary show suspension, and whether his downfall is cancel culture or simple consequence culture. They also play raw, shocking clips of medical professionals expressing hate, contrasting it with Erika Kirk's powerful forgiveness after her husband's assassination. The episode closes with a parable about eagles and crows—urging listeners to rise higher above the noise, responding with grace, strength, and truth while holding the line on consequences.GET SOCIAL WITH US!
In this rerun of Doctales with Cocktails, Drs. May and Tim Hindmarsh open with the refrain we've all heard—“safe and effective”—and ask whether corporate medicine is quietly redefining what “care” even means. The headliner: Pfizer's new “Pfizer for All” direct-to-consumer platform. Tim argues it's not healthcare—it's a sales funnel. Today it triages conditions that match Pfizer's catalog; tomorrow, he says, the costly human licensure bottleneck gets replaced by an “AI clinician” that nudges you to brand-name meds while you click through a waiver. Convenience wins, competition loses, and patients become customers in a closed loop. They jump to a free-speech eyebrow-raiser: a criminal probe in Germany over a social-media insult about a politician's weight. The point isn't to be crass; it's to ask where the line lands when governments police speech—and how quickly platforms and policy spill into medical discourse itself. Then comes the jaw-dropper: a major hospital allegedly lost a patient's skull flap after life-saving surgery—then billed him for the custom replacement. It's darkly comic until you remember it's someone's head. The takeaway is simple: systems built for billing and throughput don't always serve human beings. Finally, marketing meets medicine with Barbie-branded kids' vitamins and “bedtime essentials.” Are cleaner ingredients good? Sure. But the pink glass bottles, sticker sheets, and stacked subscriptions highlight a trend: solving lifestyle with labels and gummies instead of habits and food. As Tim & May sip Florida vodka and swap storm stories, the thread through every segment is the same—when profit drives the platform, patients need sharper BS detectors than ever.GET SOCIAL WITH US!

We all lived through it, but some stories still stop us in our tracks. Tim and May rewind the clock to those surreal pandemic years—the rules that made no sense, the heartbreaks that still sting, and the lessons we can't afford to forget. You'll laugh with us at the sand-filled California skatepark and shake your head at the “safest sex” guidelines recommending glory holes (yes, really). You'll sit with us in the grief of not being able to attend a parent's funeral. And you'll hear what it was like, as doctors, to watch trust in medicine unravel in real time. But this episode isn't just about what was lost. It's about the fork in the road we face now: rebuilding trust, rethinking how we practice medicine, and remembering that humility, honesty, and humanity matter more than ever.Episode Highlights
Drs. May and Tim kick things off with lighthearted banter about Canadian quirks, freedom, and firearms—using crime statistics from Florida and Saskatoon to challenge the assumption that gun control automatically reduces violence. They highlight how cultural and demographic differences play a bigger role than blanket policies. The conversation then pivots to Netflix's documentary You Are What You Eat, which followed 21 sets of identical twins over eight weeks on vegan vs. omnivore diets. While Netflix framed it as groundbreaking science, Tim and May poke holes in the study's limited size and duration, questioning the sweeping claims about vegan superiority. They explore what the data really shows, from muscle mass gains with meat to marginal improvements in cholesterol and sexual arousal on plant-based diets. Their critique cuts through the noise, pointing out how corporate farming and environmental talking points get mixed into the health narrative—often overshadowing deeper truths about carbs, sugar, and lifestyle.GET SOCIAL WITH US!

May and Tim Hindmarsh to challenge some of the deepest assumptions in psychiatry—from the “chemical imbalance” myth to the widespread drugging of normal emotional responses like grief, fear, and anxiety. He shares gripping stories from his work with traumatized children, teens in the juvenile justice system, and adults on multiple psychiatric drugs, raising hard questions about informed consent, resilience, and what true healing looks like. This isn't just an interview—it's a raw, honest look at how our culture medicalizes suffering, why that's dangerous, and how reclaiming struggle and resilience may be the real path forward. Whether you're a physician, a patient, or simply someone searching for truth, this episode will stay with you.Rapid Fire TakeawaysWhy the “chemical imbalance” theory never held up to scienceHow normal human suffering became pathologized as “disorder”Why informed consent is missing in psychiatric prescribingThe difference between short-term crisis meds vs. long-term harmHow resilience, not over-medicalization, is the real path to healingAbout the GuestDr. Roger McFillin, PsyDClinical psychologist, writer, and host of The Radically Genuine Podcast. He is also the Executive Director of the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. With over two decades in the field, Dr. McFillin has become a leading voice challenging mainstream psychiatric practices and exposing the harms caused by over-diagnosis and over-prescription of psychiatric drugs.Resources & LinksDr. Roger McFillin's Podcast: https://substack.com/@drmcfillinDr. Roger McFillin on Substack: https://substack.com/@drmcfillinCenter for Integrated Behavioral Health: https://www.centerforibh.com/GET SOCIAL WITH US!

What if everything you thought you knew about vaccines was… incomplete? In this unfiltered, eye-opening episode, Drs. May and Tim Hindmarsh sit down once again with cardiologist, internist, and epidemiologist Dr. Peter McCullough—this time to go deep into the rabbit hole of vaccine history, ideology, and the controversial myths we've stopped questioning. From 18th-century pus-filled experiments to modern-day policies driven more by profit than evidence, McCullough pulls back the curtain on how public trust has been won—and lost—through fear, flawed science, and a whole lot of money. They dive into:

In this episode, I cover information that You should be aware of - the kind that various other actors would rather you not think about too much. Sure, there's news information related to the war - but I use it to illustrate a point about why You should truly always read the metaphorical "fine print". The philosophical theme of this episode is about concepts of control, lies feeding more lies and AI algorythms being tied to the propaganda machine. And yes, Russia's economy and logistics are extra screwed because they've got piles and piles of this "fine print" stacked on top of themselves...but this is a more mindful episode than just vatnik news. It's one of those where I hope that you'll go "hmm" at the end and reflect a bit about various similarities and patterns. And I definitely didn't succeed as much as I'd like, but that's because I had to make cuts. However, it's all for something truly epic that I plan to give to You in the future.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/theeasternborder. Hosted on Acast. In this extra special, heavy duty emergency weekend edition of Seattle Nice, we dissect what Trump's new executive order on homelessness means for Seattle. Initial hot takes have interpreted the order as a full frontal assault on the "housing first" and “harm reduction” approaches that prevail in blue jurisdictions, and its release has precipitated a major freak out from providers and progressive elected officials in Seattle and nationally. But we need to stop and take a deep breath, says one of Seattle Nice's go to experts, MacArthur genius Lisa Daugaard, co-Executive Director of Purpose Dignity Action. Looking past the inflammatory Trumpian rhetoric to the actual language of the order, Lisa offers a more nuanced and “strategic” take. While the Trumpists' political rhetoric surrounding the order is inflammatory, Daugaard walks us through a deep dive into the actual, much more carefully drafted language of the order to point out that the text itself is (for the most part) not horrific and could even open doors to increased resources for treatment and recovery. As Duagaard emphasizes, Housing First, understood correctly, is not “housing only,” and this EO presents an opportunity for providers and advocates to better explain the full range of case management and recovery interventions they are already deploying to help those suffering from addiction. The discussion goes deep into the EO's implications for harm reduction services, housing first programs, and for civil commitment, weighing the potential risks and strategic opportunities on each front for local providers and governments. The conversation also gets into the potentially sharp disjuncture between the political imperatives for municipal candidates vying to present themselves as the most anti-Trump as local election season heats up, and the right strategy for providers to demonstrate to federal agencies that they are addressing the terms of the EO in good faith.Quinn Waller is our editor. Pour a drink—this week's Doctales with Cocktails gets spicy. Tim opens with NASCAR's long, messy dance with diversity: from Drive for Diversity to Bubba Wallace calling out team dynamics, Kyle Larson's hot-mic history, Danica Patrick's marketability, and why fixing past racism can create new moral hazards when race and performance get mixed in the same bucket. Then we swerve into home-improvement land: Chip & Joanna Gaines' new series features two married dads with surrogate kids—lighting up evangelical comment threads over gay parenting, surrogacy, and what “trad values” actually mean when your brand is Christian-cozy Magnolia.Crack the bourbon, hit play, and jump in the comments—we want to know: fan…or flinging turds? Our Advice!Everything in this podcast is for educational purposes only. Christians Need to Read the Fine Print: The Big Beautiful Bill Breakdown by Tim Hatch
Carline Classroom, Do you read the fine print?
Last week, the House passed a sweeping budget bill, the centerpiece of President Donald Trump's domestic agenda. The final vote was 215 to 214, just one vote shy of failure, with all but two Republicans supporting the package. Now, all eyes are on the Senate. It's their job to take the legislation over the finish line and deliver it to the president's desk.Headlines about the bill are focused on tax cuts for the wealthy and steep cuts to programs like Medicaid and food stamps. But buried in this 1,100-page bill are a host lot of lesser-known provisions about immigration, artificial intelligence, and even one that would limit the courts' power by stripping away any consequences for officials who ignore judges' rulings. That last one is akin to "crowning Trump King" according to former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich. We discuss what's in the fine print and what it means for Americans. Want to support 1A?
