St. Louis has a recent history of heartbreak with its football teams, first losing the NFL's Rams, then the XFL's Battlehawks – but this weekend, the St. Louis Slam opens its first home game in what could very well be the latest in a string of championship seasons. Running back Taylor Hay joins the show to talk about the return of this all-women tackle football team.
Friday, July 27Th, 2018, actress Taylor Hay joined Mike Dowler and cohost, actress Gemma Forbes for Conversations Ep. 23! She’s appeared in numerous web and television projects and several feature films. A cancer diagnosis sidelined Taylor at the age of nine. Everything came to a halt. Once she regained her health, Taylor jumped back in, excited to be healthy and acting once again. In no time at all, Taylor booked her first voiceover role in the Animated feature ’Yes, Virginia.’ She continued to hone her craft and was cast as ‘Quinn Reynolds’ – the lead role in YouTube’s Original Series, ‘Strings’ then went on to book two network shows. Next Up, Taylor will star as Vera Castor in the feature film ‘To Avenge’ alongside Zach Galligan, Kelli Maroney, Brooke Lewis, and Lauren Francesca. Shooting will begin in 2019 on the East Coast. An 8-year cancer survivor, Taylor Hay gives back in a big way. In addition to the many non-profits she supports, she’s the founder and host of ‘Star for a Night’ - an event to celebrate the lives of youth facing life-threatening illnesses. The bi-annual event is a charity fundraiser, supporting a variety of charities dedicated to helping children in need. This year's event happens Novemember 3, 2018 in Los Angeles. On this Episode of the show, Mark has amazing news. He has been verified on Twitter which legitimizes him as a popular and credible inividual in society. Its a difficult thing to achieve but he woke up one morning and evidently enough people know him nationally to give him the checkmark. Producer Bobby eventually becomes dismayed by the promoting of the verification and takes shots at Mark...an this is a side note on the show... First up, Bellator fighter and UFC legend, Tito Ortiz joins the show to promote the upcoming Bellator show, but when the convo starts dwindling early, Mark calls for an audible to the surprise of Bobby and Ortiz and it gets the interview and disucssion back on track in a positive format!Then the guys are joined by Taylor Hay, the running back for the all women professional football team called the St. Louis Slam! They are on their way to the playoffs for 2015, but Taylor takes a couple minutes to jump in with Mark and Bobby and discuss her upbringing, her love of football and to discuss where she gets a little of her slang pronounciation from. Finally, Rachel Dolezal is a household name now due to the situation of her claiming to have balck parents and upbringing when she didn't. Mark and Bobby tackle this issue and discuss all the viewpoints and thoughts that have been bantered about for the past week.
