We talked about Chris's injury as a senior in high school, the game they attended a year later were another student-athlete suffered a spinal cord injury and served as the catalyst for Gridiron Heroes, and the lack of support they receive from the NFL. We also discussed the CNN Heroes award they received, donating wheelchair accessible vehicles to some of these players and their families, and the unfortunate reality that the numbers of spinal cord injuries in high school football are not coming down.
