Bobby Burton, Gerry Hamilton, and Rod Babers kick off Texas-OU morning with high energy and Tito's-fueled confidence. It's Red River Saturday, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Episode 209 of the What Are We Doing Podcast is pure chaos wrapped in brilliance. I'm talking glittery margaritas, fake grilled steak nuggets, Taylor Swift lies, and Post Malone losing control of Broadway—all in one episode. This week kicks off with me breaking down the $20 “Gold Dust Rita” from Dave & Buster's. It's a drink that costs more than a bottle of Tito's and comes with a literal glitter bomb. I explain why it's not just overpriced—it's a metaphor for your money dissolving in front of your eyes. Then we dive into Arby's latest experiment: Steak Nuggets. Yeah, you heard me. Steak. Nuggets. I go over how Arby's is now pretending to “grill” meat in a building that doesn't even have a grill and why their new TikTok heroes, “The Arby's Boys,” might be the best thing on the internet right now. Then, I reveal how Sheetz officially slid into my DMs after I called their chili cheese dogs the best in the game. They offered me another free shirt, but I'm shooting higher. I want the Sheetz Halloween costume. I offer to wear it for weeks if they send one. I'm one DM away from being the face of Sheetz Nation. We also talk about Taylor Swift's Life of a Showgirl release week. She broke Adele's record, but I break down how the interviews have turned into one long Travis Kelce fan club meeting. Fallon finally asked her why she turned down the Super Bowl, and her answer? “I'm in love with a guy who plays football.” Sure, Tay. That's strike one. Then there's Post Malone, who finally remembered he owns a bar in Nashville and decided to throw a surprise concert and pay everyone's tab. Naturally, 400,000 people showed up. It was less “grand opening” and more “mini-Coachella with free beer.”Finally, we wrap up with the trailer for HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the new Game of Thrones prequel. I break down why it looks awesome but also kind of pointless, because we already know none of the main characters can die. It's like watching Star Wars prequels—you already know the ending. And because this is the What Are We Doing podcast, we end with Donald Trump claiming he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for “ending the conflict in Gaza.” Spoiler alert: he didn't win. This episode has everything—drunk parking lot hacks, fast-food conspiracies, celebrity nonsense, and international comedy politics.Watch, laugh, and for the love of God, hit the Hype button on YouTube.

This week on the pod, we return as a full funtioning unit and are back in the homestead of the Fart Dungeon. We breakdown both games the Cincinnati Reds had in Los Angeles against the cash flush Dodgers. The lights were bright but the boys in Red had their opportunities but the season long problems showed their ugly face. Also, Tito made A LOT of interesting moves and we break them all down. Also, where did Will Benson go and why did he not show in game two? We also sum up the season and see if it meets our expectations. We also talk about doing comedy in a skatepark and Taylor Swift...again. The show is brought to you by Cincy Light, the Spirit of Cincinnati!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Oh, Canada... So, while Derek and Tito prepare to head down to the Big Apple for New York Comic Con next week, Marc an Brien jumped in the escape-pod and headed up North to the Big Smoke (that's Canadian slang for Toronto) to meet up with friends-of-the-show (and fellow podcasters) Christopher and Tristan Ham of the Get Your Shinebox podcast. While we were there, we took in a couple of Toronto Blue Jays baseball games and hung out to drink copious amounts of alcohol, eat poutine and watch lots of movies...two of which we talk about in this week's episode, Blood of Heroes (starring Rutger Hauer, Delroy Lindo, Vincent D'Onofrio and Joan Chen) and Turbo Kid (featuring Michael Ironside).
Mailbag questions or topic suggestions? Text us!Want teens to feel seen, speak up, and stick around? We dig into the power of student-only spaces with Family Ministries pastor Tito Lozano and uncover how comfort, agency, and relationship-driven environments lead to deeper faith and smoother integration into the wider church. Tito walks us through a simple but game-changing redesign—turning a stage into a lounge with couches and beanbags—and how that shift invited vulnerability and richer small group conversations. We also unpack student ownership: room decor, anonymous feedback surveys, and a voice in series planning that sparks buy-in and makes “our youth group” feel truly theirs. We don't stop at the youth room door. Tito shares a balanced rhythm for integration—one Sunday a month in “big church”—that familiarizes teens with the lead pastor, corporate worship, and adult liturgy without sacrificing the age-intentional midweek environment. We tackle serving pathways that don't bury the same students behind tech every week, and we highlight the irreplaceable role of adult leaders who show up at games, concerts, and fourth-meal hangouts. Those everyday moments become the bridge from adolescent faith to adult discipleship.

It's the Phew Day between the last day of the regular season, and the first of the Wildcard round in which both Patti and Pottymouth are heavily invested. It was a record year for 30-30 seasons including PCA and six former NCiB boyfriends. Andy and Ernie help with the clinching, and Pottymouth gets all numerology-y with Jackson Chourio. Ceddanne clinched with a triple, and Guards play Guardball and clinch with a HBP. Brayan Rocchio reminds us that he's a postseason darling with a walk off triple to cement the ALC. Pookie is learning some guitar in his downtime. Aaron is tall for a batting champ and Cal is awfully catcher-ish for a home run king. But which will be MVP? We have thoughts. Breaking T almost gets Pottymouth to buy a Kershaw shirt. But instead she waxes poetic over Paul Toboni and the horse he road in on. Congrats to Tito on bringing another team to the postseason. And what City wouldn't want Seattle's double booking problems. We missed the fiesta, but the Mariners found their man of the hour and celebrated his good guy-ness. Things got legitimately wild in the fantasy league but we crowned the second place winner(s). Please enjoy some Baseball Project and this terrific piece by Chelsea James. Buckle up and get your second screens ready so you can watch baseball at work. Adam, Joanna, and Zach react to a trio of stories: first, Michelob Ultra has surpassed Modelo as the best-selling beer (by volume) in the United States - is this just because of tariffs and ICE raids, or has AB InBev hit on a winning message? Then, they explore whether a recent Harris poll about beverage preferences at restaurants says anything new about generational shifts in attitudes towards alcohol. Finally, the trio ponder the sale of LALO Tequila to fellow Austin-based drinks company Fifth Generation: can they replicate their incredible Tito's success with another clear spirit?
In this episode Erin and Tito discuss the ICE sniper attack that took place Wednesday in Dallas, as well as the new Presidential Memorandum targeting antifa that dropped Thursday. Will the actions and strategy outlined in the new, more detailed security memo help, or does the administration need to go even further and consider other options? "What happens when a small-town film festival starts drawing national attention—and a local tequila brand partners with a global giant?" In this vibrant episode of The JB and Sandy Show, the spotlight shines on two of Austin's favorite things: film and tequila. First up, Sandy and JB welcome Ray Perez, president of GTX Film, to talk about the Georgetown Film Festival—a one-day, all-access celebration of indie cinema happening this weekend. With over 20 filmmakers attending, free food and drinks, and a come-and-go format, it's shaping up to be the town's biggest cultural event of the year. Ray shares how the festival is growing thanks to local business support and a rising wave of Texas filmmaking momentum. “This could be our biggest year yet,” he says, noting the buzz from out-of-state filmmakers and the intimacy that makes Georgetown's event unique. Then, the conversation shifts from film to flavor as the guys break down a major local business move: Tito's Vodka is partnering with Lalo Tequila, one of Austin's rising spirits brands. Sandy calls it “an instant overnight success,” and the crew dives into the history of Tito's, the Austin alcohol boom, and why everyone in town seems to have their own tequila label now.
Cinders. Ash. Dark, roiling skies. A desolate landscape strewn with rubble. This, dear listener, is where your favorite Fiorentina podcast idiots reach you from. We shriek into the uncaring heavens, hoping to hear an echo that will prove that their are limits to our suffering, but our calls continue into a cold and endless universe, weakening until they vanish without ever seeing an end to the suffering. Why, yes, we are indeed recording in the aftermath of a psychically destructive defeat against Como. However did you guess? As you'd expect, we're diving deep into what went wrong here. Whether it's the personnel or the tactics, we're leaving no stone unturned. Much like the season itself, we're so upside-down that we're changing roles mid-podcast. This time around, it's Producer Mike who completely diverts us into a long conversation about wine pairings, which may be for the b best given that we also touched on McMike's oddly erotic dreams while Tito blithely plows through all of it. Turns out that we were wrong with our last episode, and that's on us. We're very sorry. Thank you as always to Sport Social Podcast Network for hosting us and to Windchime Weather (Nate's got new music out!) for the music.
