El año 69 d.C. es uno de los más agitados y caóticos de la historia del imperio romano. En poco más de un año, cuatro hombres se hicieron con el trono tras la muerte de Nerón: Galba, Otón, Vitelio y Vespasiano. Este período demostró que, una vez desaparecido el prestigio de la dinastía julio-claudia, el Senado era ya un mero órgano decorativo y la dignidad imperial dependía exclusivamente de contar con el apoyo de las legiones. Nerón se suicidó el 9 de junio del año 68. Sin heredero, el vacío de poder desató una guerra civil. El primer beneficiario fue Servio Sulpicio Galba, gobernador de la Tarraconense. Hombre de linaje patricio y 73 años, fue reconocido por el Senado y la Guardia Pretoriana. Llegó a Roma en octubre de ese año, pero su gobierno fue un desastre desde el primer día: recortó gastos, se negó a pagar el donativo prometido a los pretorianos y adoptó como heredero a Lucio Calpurnio Pisón, un aristócrata sin carisma ni apoyos militares. Tres meses más tarde las legiones de Germania Superior e Inferior se sublevaron y proclamaron emperador a Aulo Vitelio. Cuando la noticia llegó a Roma los pretorianos asesinaron a Galba y a Pisón en pleno Foro. El Senado, aterrorizado, proclamó emperador a Marco Salvio Otón. Otón, antiguo compañero de juergas de Nerón y gobernador de Lusitania, tenía el apoyo del Pretorio y de parte del pueblo romano. Intentó negociar con Vitelio, que ya marchaba hacia Italia con sus legiones. La negociación fracasó. El 14 de abril del año 69 se libró la primera batalla de Bedriacum (cerca de Cremona). Las tropas de Otón fueron aplastadas. Al recibir la noticia, Otón se suicidó, pero no sin antes pronunciar una frase que ha pasado a la historia: “Es más justo que muera uno por todos, que todos por uno”. Había reinado 91 días. Vitelio entró en Roma en julio entre desfiles, banquetes y celebraciones. Su gobierno fue un espectáculo de despilfarro y crueldad: ejecuciones masivas de oficiales fieles a Otón, disolución de las cohortes pretorianas para sustituirlas por sus tropas germanas y un despilfarro que dejó exhausto el tesoro imperial. Entretanto, en Oriente, las legiones de Judea, Siria y Egipto proclamaron emperador a Tito Flavio Vespasiano, el general que se encargaba en esos momentos de la revuelta judía. Vespasiano controlaba los envíos de grano de Egipto y tenía el apoyo de su hijo Tito y del prefecto de Egipto, Tiberio Julio Alejandro. Las legiones del Danubio que estaban al mando de Marco Antonio Primo invadieron Italia en octubre. A finales de ese mes se libró la segunda batalla de Bedriacum y las tropas de Vitelio fueron aniquiladas. En diciembre, Antonio Primo entró en Roma. Vitelio intentó abdicar y esconderse, pero fue descubierto, arrastrado desnudo por las calles y arrojado al Tíber tras ser torturado. El día 21 de diciembre del año 69, el Senado proclamó a Vespasiano, que aún estaba en Alejandría. Con él comenzó la dinastía Flavia. Hace dos semanas las encuestas previas a los comicios hondureños situaban en tercer lugar al conservador Tito Asfura, pero un par de mensajes escritos por Donald Trump en redes sociales a menos de 72 horas de que se abriesen las urnas marcaron el resultado de las elecciones. Rechazo al oficialismo Es el factor clave en el que coinciden la mayoría de los analistas tras la resaca electoral, como señala a RFI el sociólogo en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), Eugenio Sosa: “Los mensajes de Donald Trump han influido, han contribuido, diría yo, para ser menos contundente, responsablemente y analíticamente. He has now voided out 92% of Biden orders, which means judges, other nominees will be removed. Justice is coming and the [DS] players are panicking. Economy Interesting Development – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney Announces New Limits on Foreign Steel and Aluminum, With New 25% Tariff on Steel Derivative Components   Prime Minister Mark Carney is conceding defeat to President Trump and positioning the Canadian economy to be compliant with U.S-Mexico trade regulations. However, Carney is not saying that, indeed he cannot; he's spent over a year telling Canadians that President Trump's trade and economic demands are not going to be accepted by Canada.  However, what he is factually doing is exactly what President Trump has demanded. Prime Minister Carney is saying he is restricting Steel and Aluminum imports from non-free trade agreement countries, and he is lowering the tonnage of Steel and Aluminum that will be permitted for import.  His claim is that this approach will help drive up “domestic demand” for Canadian Steel and Aluminum, but that's ancillary to the real objective. President Trump has demanded Canada stop importing cheap steel and aluminum mostly from China; including manufactured component goods that are made with steel and aluminum (think autos).  Canada would not stop, because they could not stop.  Their manufacturing base, green energy and climate change economy, is more of a component assembly system now. So, President Trump hit Canada with a 35% tariff, and things got ugly.  In June Trump raised the tariff to 50%. The back and forth has gone on all year. Carney now announces restrictions on imported steel and aluminum, as well as restrictions on imported derivative goods that come from steel and aluminum, in combination with a spending plan to bolster the Canadian steel and aluminum manufacturing base.  This ends up shifting the Canadian industrial sector to making steel and aluminum products without Chinese import dependency. L'iniziativa, promossa dall'autore Ruggero Poi e dall'illustratrice Alice Rossi e pubblicata da Beisler Editore, trasforma il libro in un progetto educativo e comunitario. Il volume, realizzato con la partecipazione attiva della editor Chiara Belliti, affronta il tema dell'istruzione di qualità per tutti (Obiettivo 4 dell'Agenda ONU 2030).Il libro è il frutto di un percorso di scrittura creativa promosso dalla Fondazione CRC all'interno del Rondò dei Talenti, un luogo terzo in armonia tra la casa e la scuola, dove l'apprendimento e il talento sono sostenuti fin da piccoli. L'iniziativa ha coinvolto 60 ragazze e ragazzi dell'Istituto Comprensivo Sobrero di Cuneo, che hanno contribuito al formarsi della storia, delle illustrazioni e più in generale a fare in modo che Zoe potesse muoversi seguendo le loro sensibilità.La narrazione parte da una domanda fondamentale: "Che cos'è il talento? E come possiamo liberarlo?".L'iniziativa va oltre le pagine, diventando uno spettacolo teatrale a Genova, dove gli studenti stanno lavorando per portare in scena la storia. In questo contesto, il progetto affronta anche il tema della pace, dato che Zoe è Ambasciatrice della Pace Preventiva. Un'occasione bellissima per fare nuove amicizie e imparare saperi e sapori inediti. Al Grande Mercato dei Talenti la sarta insegna a cucire e a rammendare, il falegname a costruire tavoli e sedie, le sorelle pasticciere insegnano a mettere le mani in pasta. E che dire del chiosco con le spezie, dove si mischiano odori e colori di ogni paese? Zoe è appena tornata dalle vacanze e non vede l'ora di raggiungere Tito e gli altri. Lui e Tilde sono al Mercato dal mattino presto, per aiutare ad allestire i banchi. E poi finalmente Zoe si ricongiungerà con Zizou, il pappagallo che le ha regalato il nonno. Lo ha affidato a Tito, che ci sa fare con gli animali. Ma qualcosa è andato storto e Zizou è scappato dalla sua gabbietta. Allarme generale! Il mercato si ferma e tutti ma proprio tutti partono alla ricerca di Zizou. La gabbia gli stava stretta. Le gabbie stanno strette a tutti, pensa Zoe.
