Redbird women's basketball under Coach Gillespie has another 20 win season under their belt headed into the Hoops in the Heartland Tournament. Blake and Will share how this team can have a chance to win this tournament with a hopeful shot at playing in the NCAA Tournament. Bob Quillman is the host of The Q-Cast, a show that puts the focus on D3 Basketball. He is a 1993 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. His father Bob, played basketball at IWU in the 1950's. During his junior year, Bob began broadcasting Illinois Wesleyan games as a play-by-play man. From 2001 through 2008 Bob worked as part of the WJBC broadcast team for IWU basketball with legendary broadcaster Art Kimball. Dick Biondi was an absolute radio legend. He died last week at the age of 90, after a 67-year career that paved the way for generations of broadcasters.   He was the first guy in the states to play the Beatles on the air. He was on the ground floor for the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis, as well as plenty other early architects of modern music.   Biondi was inducted to the Radio Hall of Fame in 1998. Specific to Chicago, his voice was heard on WLS-AM, WCFL, WMAQ, WBBM FM, WJMK and WLS-FM.   Biondi's passing has made me think about the importance of radio during his lifetime, the value of community involvement and the thrill of shared pop culture experience.   With that, I wanted to invite someone on for this episode who could help us learn more about the radio legend.
