Peter Taunton, a life long fitness professional, tremendously successful after 30 years of hard work, having started Snap Fitness and Lift Brands, with thousands of gyms, he is now re-evaluating what he wants his life to be about. His personal journey has been extraordinary. Having sold his company and stepped back, he is finding himself unfulfilled by the quest for money, and now he is all about helping others and giving back. As he says “ There is so much need out there, immerse yourself in giving back and you will find happiness.” Treasuring human connections, he is finding out what it means to live well, and it’s not about how many toys one has.
Is the coronavirus COVID 19 for real? What are its impacts on people our age? Just because we may be in great health, strong and fitter than ever, does that mean we are not in the category of people who should be careful? We get into the fundamental questions of how seriously to take the virus crises and what we are doing to stay healthy and open minded. Norma, 74- the legendary designer and one of the earliest champions of wellness and the importance of having a healthy immune system. She innovated the cutout bathing suit, the sleeping bag coat, developed her clean skin care line in the early 1990s, and then opened her wellness cafe in NYC in 2001 putting her at the forefront of what is now a global movement for healthy living. We learn how she feels about beauty today, how that has changed, the negative effects of social media, and of course her thoughts on ageism being the most raw of the isms. We learn about how her routines have evolved with age, and how important authenticity is, versus covering up who we are. She has been meditating for decades and exercising daily, which is how she stay so vibrant in such a pressure filled business. When we look at Norma, we think, I'll have whatever she is having.
