Coastin with Collin is a podcast that is meant to encourage others, lift people up, and share stories with others. From solo episodes to interviews, my hope is that the messages contained within here bring light to others. I strive to do that by talking with friends and individuals who are business owners, content creators, and leaders in their field of expertise and providing them a platform to inspire others by sharing their personal journey.
Had the honor of sitting down and catching up with Travis Harper once again. Travis catches us up with his current and future business endeavors, things to better our communities, and also shares some life advice along the way.
We may plan our steps, but it's the Lord's plan that prevails.
In Mark Chapter 2, Jesus healed a paralyzed man because of his friend's faith. This is why your circle matters.
Some of us don't understand why we are where we are in life. Some of us say we wish we could of lived in a different era. However, perhaps we are here for such a time as this.
There are opportunities all around us to make a difference, we just have to be willing to seek them out.
When were lead to something, especially after much prayer and consideration, and we're not seeing any results, what do we do then?
If you want to impact someone, you have to get up close. Instead of always passing the problem along to someone else, be the change you want to see in the world, take personal responsibility, and start working on a solution for that problem. When you point a finger, three point back to you. Evil will always triumph if good men and good women do nothing.
You are not what you do, you are not what you have, and you are not what other people think of you. So, who are you? Book mentioned in podcast tonight is Emotional, Healthy, Spirituality by Peter Scazzero

If your like me, sometimes life will have your mind racing and overthinking and anxiety creeps in. Those feelings are ok, we all have our good days and bad days. Remember win one day at a time, if you can't do a day, win the hour, if you can't do that, win the half hour, or fifteen minutes, or even just win one minute at a time. Those one minute do and will add up to even greater victories. Reading, whether it comes in the form of reading articles, magazines, books, letters, newspapers, etc. is important. As President Truman once said "Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers." I talk about reading in this episode, C Wiggs Book Club, and the August 2021 book of the month.
We never know who is listening, so always be on guard. A sermon meant for a few might be heard by several.
When Jesus walked out of that tomb, it allowed us to fill it with our baggage, our sins, our worries behind in it and walk with Him.
What to do when we receive direction but want to flee the other way?
At the Red Sea with nowhere to turn, have we have received direction without the details?
Series finale of This isn't what I pictured. You have such a great impact on others, but it might not be like you pictured.
The Christmas Story and Birth of the King of Kings...Not what anyone pictured.
From Dearborn to Cape Disappointment to the Sea of Galilee...this isn't what I pictured.
We are not the ones in control and that's ok. Sometimes the biggest lessons can be learned in the valley instead of on the mountain top. Let us remember to love others, not judge them, show compassion and grace towards them, and meet them where they are.
