In this enlightening conversation, Shelley Hines shares her journey as a healer and teacher, exploring her spiritual guidance and profound connection with Mary Magdalene. She discusses the misconceptions surrounding Magdalene's identity, her role as a divine feminine figure, and the significance of the Magdalena Asteroid in astrology. The dialogue emphasizes the importance of intuition, the healing power of understanding one's lineage, and the awakening of the soul group associated with Mary Magdalene. Shelley encourages listeners to embrace their inner messages and trust their spiritual journeys. Shelley Lynn Hines, RN, MSN, is a student of life with a special focus on the Feminine Divine, and all things mystical. She had a true call and knowing that she was to become a nurse since the age of five. Working as a Registered Nurse, healer, teacher, and Lifestyle Consultant/Coach she has been helping women over 30 years. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife she attended the births of over one thousand Earthbound souls directly into her awaiting hands. Her interest in the safe arrival of these unique beings fueled her fascination in our life between lives as she furthered her studies into hypnotherapies including past life regressions and medical hypnotherapy. This also led to a brief time working with hospice patients and supported her belief that our souls come and go through a similar if not the same doorway. Born with an astrological and veiled Piscean Moon, Shelley has been sensitive to and gravitated toward all things metaphysical and occult or hidden from the mundane since a very young age. Reading her horoscope as soon as she could read, led her to study with the Steven Forest Apprenticeship Program, receiving a Master's Level Certification in Evolutionary Astrology. Using the birth chart as a tool to aid in validating the soul's purpose, karma, and dharma, is one of her methods for healing. She also includes her certification as an Intentional Creativity (T) teacher assisting women and men to set the inner critic aside and allow the muse to have a voice, so important in these times of increasing uncertainty and censoring. She is the founder of “She Rises in Wellness Women's Retreats (C)” and her biggest passion is to gather likeminded women for comfort, guidance, and learning. After a mystical experience in 2016 she began studying in earnest all things Mary Magdalene and is authoring a soon to be published book about Magdalene's archetypes in the hopes of educating the public regarding this historical figure who represents the Feminine Divine. If not for my wife Patty's love of all things Tik Tok, I would not have run across attorney Adrienne Hines.  Adrienne is a long-standing attorney in Ohio who practiced initially in the area of worker's compensation and now works pretty exclusively in the area of consumer bankruptcy.  More than that, Adrienne has morphed her law practice into providing important and detailed information on bankruptcy through her social media platforms on Tik Tok and Instagram.  Fans of Tik Tok will recognize her by her user name and website called TheLadyLikeLawyer.com  As you'll hear, Adrienne is smart, funny, warm and engaging.  It is no wonder that she has so many followers!  As you'll see and hear, she lives her practice with the mantra of “Debt Relief with Dignity.”  Her law practice approach mirrors our Bond and Botes' law practice insofar as how we try to help our own bankruptcy clients in Alabama and Mississippi.  The difference, however, is that Adrienne speaks to a vast nationwide audience of Tik Tok users and, as I mentioned, she provides tremendously valuable information to them.  I enjoyed getting to know her story on this episode of the podcast.

EDITOR'S NOTE: We didn't talk about the Celje win (?) because we recorded a couple days beforehand. Due to real world constraints, by which we mean Producer Mike's day job, this one's a couple days behind. Anyways, it's the Tito and Hines show today as McMike is on a super-secret special assignment that certainly doesn't involve hiding in suburban New Jersey shrubbery. We had a somewhat grim conversation about the dire draw against Parma and a somewhat less grim conversation about the first leg win at Celje before swerving into predictions for the rest of the season and then descending back into the serious stuff about the newest betting scandal hitting Serie A, which touches on a couple of Fiorentina players. Come for the heavy topics but stick around for the more important stuff: where McMike is, what conspiracy of primates knocked Producer Mike out of commission as we recorded, and Tito's triumphant return to What Are You Drinking. Thank you to Sport Social Podcast Network for hosting us and to Windchime Weather for the music. As always, we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making this. What can Israelis and Palestinians learn from post-conflict Ireland?

Israel and Ireland are in the midst of a diplomatic crisis – with the Israeli embassy in Dublin closed in protest of Ireland’s decision to join South Africa’s genocide lawsuit at the International Court of Justice and its recognition of a Palestinian state. But that didn’t stop the Irish embassy in Tel Aviv from inviting peace activist Bronagh Hinds to meet with Jewish and Palestinian civil society organizations and women’s groups to share the lessons learned in Northern Ireland and encourage them to take bold steps towards peace even as their leaders hesitate. Hines is best known for helping create a women's coalition that played a key role in the Good Friday agreement negotiations. On the Haaretz Podcast, Bronagh discussed her visit and the tense Israeli-Irish standoff. “In Ireland, people are sad about the shuttering and the breaking of the relationship,” she said, but “they also understand the Irish government's position.” She noted that until the 1990’s, the ethnic and territorial conflicts in the world considered most intractable were Northern Ireland, South Africa and Israel and Palestine. “I'm not surprised that South Africa and Ireland did what they did, because in both of those conflicts, the issues of equality and the human rights and the humanitarian issues were extremely important … I truly believe that the Irish government is doing what it has done from an understanding about how one gets to a peace process.“ The process of reconciliation between peoples with a violent and traumatic history of conflict is deeply challenging, Hinds admitted, emphasizing that successful conflict resolution must be “as inclusive as possible.” In Northern Ireland, the Good Friday talks “included people who called their counterparts terrorists,” she said. “It’s all painful, but the prize is peace in the end.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is this a replay of the movements that brought Civil Rights laws in the 1960's, the end of the VietNam war in the 1970s, and the birth of the GOP rightward leap via the Tea Party in the 2009 and the women's movement of the 2010s? Governor Whitmer has reinforced talk of a 2028 presidential run with a high-profile speech in Washington this week … paired with a one-on-one meeting with Donald Trump. Was she measuring the curtains in the Oval Office? Penguins are breathing a sigh of relief as Trump blinks on his one-man demolition of the economy. But the slingshot economic tactics are a political threat to the reelection campaigns of Republicans nationwide and in Michigan - with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee now targeting 3 Republican-held districts in our state. One of those Trump-backing Republicans, Congressman John James, says he's running for Governor, meaning his 10th district congressional seat is a definite flip opportunity for Democrats. We'll be joined by the latest Democratic candidate for that job, Macomb County assistance prosecuting attorney Christina Hines. Trump is weaponizing the once respected DOJ by ordering criminal investigations into two critics in the private sector: Chris Krebs and Miles Taylor. Online rumors fueled by Indivisible warn Trump may invoke the Insurrection Act to shut down protest rallies across the nation Mallory McMorrow's media rollout for her Senate campaign goes national: multiple MSNBC appearance plus "The Daily Show" Larry Sabato's initial House election projections show Democrats with a slight advantage, with 5 Michigan congressional districts in play One of the most-watched congressional races in the nation next year will be centered in Macomb County and Michigan's 10th district. With John James running for Governor, the swing district is a definite coin toss. Democrats will have a competition in the primary. Last month we talked with Alex Hawkins, the first announced candidate. Joining the race in the last week: Christina Hines. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State Law School, Hines ran for Macomb County Prosecutor in 2024 against sitting prosecutor Peter Lucido, with Lucido receiving 57% of the vote while Hines held 43%. Even if you're not a lawyer, the challenge that this administration is mounting to the rule of law affects you, too. When the president challenges the judiciary, when we as a country go after lawyers simply for doing their actual jobs, it hurts all of us.  What's happening now is weakening our judicial branch and centering power in the executive branch. Maybe you've heard the term “unitary executive”? This basically means that the jobs of the other two branches, or the other two branches of government themselves, can be told what to do by the President, as the power becomes consolidated solely in that branch. As we are recording this, Cory Booker is almost 20 hours into the third-longest speech on the Senate floor, and THAT is the fire that we need from Congress and the legislative branch, which has been largely lacking until now in this triangle of power. But we need also accountability in order for democracy to work: Due process keeps us from disappearing people in the night, the right to representation keeps the President from telling law firms and prosecutors who they can represent, and our current system, if we let it, is heading towards that unitary executive, which is basically a dictatorship. So it was wonderful to speak with Debbie Hines, a former prosecutor, assistant state attorney general, and trial attorney, on her take on what's not only happening in our current administration, but how we can conceptualize the role of our legal system in our world, and how we can fight for a better, more expansive role for the judiciary and the justice system rather than playing small and bending the knee to those who would destroy it.   What to listen for: A clear explanation for the different layers of lawyers who work to keep our communities abiding by the rule of law - from trial attorneys to prosecutors to attorneys general Reflections and contextualizing what is happening with our current administration What's broken about our current legal system How each of us can take action towards changing it Recommendations:  Visit local courts to see how prosecutors work Meeting with people who have encountered the prosecutorial system and/or are incarcerated → listen to Marcus Bullock episodes  Educate family, friends, coworkers based on info in this book – support diversion, restorative justice, and community-based programs, as many have better recidivism rates  Decline to prosecute 13 million misdemeanor cases annually (80% of criminal cases prosecuted in state courts); instead, support the idea of punching up and go after economic fraud, things that hurt more people About Debbie: Former Baltimore prosecutor, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland, and trial attorney Debbie Hines is an advocate for racial equity in the criminal justice system. She maintains a private law practice focused on civil and criminal litigation in Washington, DC. A leading voice in the discourse of criminal justice and race, Hines is often called on by media networks for legal commentary.   Other resources: Episodes #83 + 84 with Marcus Bullock Episode #37: 99 Problems and the Criminal Justice System  Episode #41 with Ji Seon Song
