She started applying her knowledge of the mind to the realm of business and created a six-figure income in her first solo year in business. She also coached a women’s property investing group, having created a portfolio of 14 properties in 3 years. She has run workshops in various aspects of mindset mastery for individuals, couples, property investors, share traders, public speakers, coaches and women leaders on three continents. How tough choices needed to be made to support care needs and look after the the needs of the family. Through this, we discuss how Christa developed skills, retrained and set about to create a business aligned to the values to support special kids and their families and how "I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping them find their way and maximize their potential" Christa JoyWe also discuss the importance of building and maintaining bridges between families and educational settings and how managing conflicts and being aware of differing points of views is critical in order to keep the needs of each child as the primary focus. As many know, an issue very close to our hearts, this was such an engaging and topical session. It's so important to normalise the needs of all children and ensure that care, curriculum and collaboration is always centre stage. You definitely will be on the edge of your seats for this one.Outro quote“We have become adept at exploring outer space but we have not developed similar skills in exploring our own personal inner space. In fact the longest journey is the journey inwards” Dag Hammersjold

But we fail to envision the unfamiliar gladness and gratifications the new tide would bring..” Maria Popova, Figuring

"Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed." NeitzcheRecap on 3 areas discussed during How to Quit Part 1.This discussion is inspired by the book "Emotionally Healthy Woman" by Geri Scazzero.Discussed concept of how and what areas we may look at quitting in order to assess what we need to do to become the best version of ourselves. The question at the centre of this discussion remains to ascertain if there are things that add value or are distracting us in our lives. If the latter is the case, then we may need to decide to quit these behaviours, limiting self beliefs or toxic interactions in order to move toward a productive, healthy state of being for ourselves and for those within our sphere of influence.
"Is comparing, bench-marking a help or a hindrance.....? During this episode, we discuss and unpick the notion of impostor syndrome, what it means and how it may feel to be stricken with what we refer to this term. Do you suffer from feelings of never feeling good enough even when you have a seat at the table, then this episode is definitely for you where we also discuss several tips to stop thinking like an impostor.
During this episode, we discuss coping with work place stress. For many of us, at one stage or another, we can identify with feelings of work place stress. These pressures can have many origins, can last for short or longer periods of time and have temporary or long lasting outcomes and side effects. This episode explores a range of common sources of work related stress. Some of the effects and toll that coping with work place stress can have on our bodies and minds and emotional well-being. To round out the episode, we delve into steps that can be taken to help manage stress in healthy ways so we can be the best version of ourselves as we navigate through this aspect of challenges in our lives.
Giving up is always an option, but not always a failure - Cameron Conaway. In this episode we explore the idea of quitting as negative but went on to talk about some areas we thought were critical to be able to confidently quit in. This episode is inspired by the book The Emotionally healthy woman by Geri Scazerro. Areas identified as things would like to stop doing:Quit being afraid of what others thinkKey to be able to separate between caring what other people think on what's actually important and being afraid of facing the perceptions of ourselves through other people's lenses.Don't be driven by fear and where fear is identified as a factor, pause and ask if this is healthy and/or does this serve you. Quit over functioningGoing into superwoman mode has been historically applauded? How healthy or sustainable is living and doing life in this state? We discuss a number of scenarios that contribute to over functioning and some of the symptoms that may arise from operating from this place especially over a long period of time.Points to think about - when operating from a place of over functioning:Step back, and pauseAsk yourself, am I playing to my strengths? Is what I'm focussing on going to help me achieve my desired outcomes?Quit denying anger, sadness and fearHow do we handle our emotions?Do we take a healthy approach to being aware of or managing our emotions? What stories are we living for ourselves and for the children within our sphere of influence about giving awareness to, care of and processing our emotions? We are emotional beings and suppressing our range of emotions is not only detrimental but counterproductive and impacts on all areas of our lives.Learning how to quit those things that do not serve us is a useful discussion for us to have in order to navigate doing life well.

Today’s topic is one very dear to us, Cultivating Confidence. This battle of perceived and real identities isn’t only something you and I may encounter but people we may think have it all together battle with this as well. I recently listened to a discussion with one of my fav artists, Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine, she shares her experience of overcoming challenges, “personal anxieties” and how she grapples with imposter syndrome in that she has personal thoughts that people may come along and tell you that this new life or this peaceful life that you’ve created is a lie and we know who you really are and everything that you’ve built for yourself could get taken away!” The British Social Attitudes Survey asked questions about Body Confidence. Some of the findings are worth noting that 37% of adult women and 26% of men are dissatisfied with their appearance; for women, this can remain an issue across all life stages. So what that means is nearly half of adults think that how you look affects what you can achieve in life and around one-in-three believe that “your value as a person depends on how you look”. In this Podcast we discuss this and share our thoughts on how we can cultivate confidence in our own little way. Hope you enjoy and look forward to hearing what you think.
