This sermon examines God's sovereign saving grace in Saul's conversion. While not every Christian can say they have had quite so dramatic a "Damascus road experience," yet the grace that saved Saul is the same that saves any sinner.

When life feels uncertain, it's easy to wonder if God is still at work. In Ruth 4, we see the story come full circle—what began with loss, grief, and bitterness turns into redemption, restoration, and purpose. What looked ordinary on the surface was actually God moving behind the scenes the entire time. This isn't just a story about Ruth and Naomi—it's a reminder that God is writing a bigger story than we can see.
Why is a walk in a garden so relaxing? Because we were created to live in God's garden of perfection, forever. Unfortunately, as the story goes, Adam and Eve made a fatal error and were forced to make their home in the garden of sin instead, where nothing is perfect or peaceful. But remember, this is God's story! God came looking for Adam and Eve after they disobeyed. And in His grace, He still comes looking for us today. Jill Briscoe takes us through biblical examples of God's saving grace and how He offers us a way to His riches through Christ. Robert Plant is one of the true legends of rock n roll. His vocals made Led Zeppelin the biggest band in the world and his solo career is now in its 5th decade encompassing all sorts of different musical styles and genres. But Robert isn't a man who needs to trade on his past to get by. While he doesn't forget where he comes from, he's one to always push forward to explore new sounds and new collaborators to fulfill his yearning for making music. It makes for a great night out with Suzi Dian and Saving Grace, with whom he recorded an album of celtic/bluegrass/country tunes, all of which were covers or traditionals. His voice is still very smooth and perfect for the music he's choosing to make today. He doesn't have the ferocious yawp of 70s Robert Plant but he reworks some Zeppelin classics to fit the style of his band, the music he plays and how he performs today. So you'll hear about a reworked Ramble On, a true to form Four Sticks and a raucous version of Friends. But he also gives Calling to You a makeover, as well as an amazing and soulful I'm In The Mood which he and Suzi make new again with their voices in unison. If you want to see a bunch of Zeppelin tunes performed the way they sounded on the albums, go see Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening (you can hear our review of that show from November, 2025) as it's an awesome show. But if you want to see a true legend still shine with new music and some nods to his past, you might not have a better night than seeing Robert Plant on this tour. Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God"There is no relationship with God without salvation. And there is no salvation without grace
What if knowing about Jesus isn't the same as truly encountering Him? On the road to Emmaus, the risen Jesus turns head knowledge into a burning, life-changing reality. Grace isn't just a safety net for eternity, it's power for the life you're living right now. This is an invitation to move beyond religion and step into a real, transforming relationship with Him.
This message challenges the idea that growing in faith should make us less dependent on Jesus, using the older brother in the Prodigal Son to expose the trap of earning what was always a gift. It reveals that true spiritual maturity isn't self-sufficiency, but a deeper awareness of our ongoing need for grace.
This is a lovely recording of a short set performed in tandem with an interview with David Fricke, which happened March 25. 2026 in Nashville, TN. This is the night before their performance at the legendary Ryman. The band are brilliant, Robert is in good voice, and spirits, and the show is sublime. I play It's A Beautiful Day Today, Everybody's Song, and Ramble On.
Matt Grace. The first half of Matt Grace's grippingly honest memoir, GOD DOESN'T RELAPSE (Lasega Books; August 11, 2026) reveals the story of a selfish, entitled, lying, cheating, manipulating, unfaithful, abusive, cruel, worst-case drug addict. From a young age, Grace was a self-indulgent, abrasive, disrespectful bully who manipulated his mother, playing on her guilt for cheating on his father and blaming her for the divorce and his enabling father, continually in denial about his son's drug addiction and never making him pay for his mistakes. If he destroyed a car inebriated, he got another one the next day. If he rang up the credit card to thousands, he was never made to pay it back. This tragic, but inspiring story takes Grace through a life getting high on various substances, from alcohol, to cocaine and crack, to Ritalin to oxy to meth and basically anything he could get his hands on. As with others like him coming from a world of wealth, he had an easy time getting money to pay for his habits, and found jobs through his enabling father who also had the connections to help him avoid the law. He ruined many lives on his chaotic, rudderless journey. But just when he seems the most horrible person imaginable, Grace experiences a coming-to-god moment, really sees the light in a room while he's on his knees, at his lowest ebb, praying. And because he was one of the lucky ones whose addictions didn't kill him, the direction of his life was able to change for the better and he is now on the road to redemption and helping to serve others. More than 48 million Americans are battling substance use disorder—and more than half of those who find their way to recovery will relapse. Grace's story is not just personal—it's urgently relevant. As prescription drug abuse surges, as fentanyl turns every relapse into a potential death sentence, and as families across the country grapple with loss, disappearance, and exploitation, this memoir exposes the deep fractures in the lives of addicts and the often-inadequate approaches within the addiction treatment industry. About the Author Matt Grace is an author, speaker, and transformational recovery expert who has devoted his life to helping people break free from addiction and reclaim their future. With more than twenty years of sobriety, a bachelor's degree in Addiction Studies with a focus on Integrative Healing, and over 10,000 hours mentoring individuals and families, he has become a trusted guide to both the highly privileged and the deeply overlooked. He is the founder of Saving Grace, a practice designed to help families navigate the painful intersection of generational wealth and generational wounds. His work has taken him from Manhattan boardrooms and Palm Beach estates to church basements, recovery homes, and state-funded programs in Michigan, reflecting his belief that addiction knows no boundaries—and neither should recovery. Today, Matt speaks nationally on addiction, recovery, and redemption, bringing raw honesty, practical structure, and hard-won wisdom to audiences across every walk of life. His mission is simple: to dismantle the lies of addiction, restore families, and prove that rock bottom is not the end—it's the beginning. Matt Grace stands as proof that when service becomes your higher power, transformation becomes possible.

In this message, we explore how the gift of God's grace can become familiar and lose its impact in our lives. Looking at Ephesians 2:8, we confront the drift from receiving grace to striving for acceptance through performance. This teaching challenges us to rediscover grace not as something we earn, but as a gift we receive through faith. It's an invitation to move from exhaustion and striving into freedom, healing, and a renewed relationship with Jesus.
You probably know you're saved by grace—but do you act like it? Many Christians spend their lives thinking and acting like they're saved by their works and trying to please God to earn his favor. In this message series, Pastor Rick teaches how to live in freedom by building a foundation of gratitude for the greatest gift you've ever received—God's saving grace.God's grace is amazing, but it doesn't mean we can just go on living any way we want to. Pastor Rick continues in this message to look at the aspects of saving grace and how God's forgiveness frees us to follow and obey Jesus not out of obligation but out of our love for him. Titus 2:11-14 March 1, 2026 PM.For our Lord's Table service, we reviewed Paul's teaching to Titus about the grace of God that appeared to all people for salvation, and that teaches us to deny ungodliness, to live righteously, and to look forward to the coming of Christ. God has explained through Paul the basis for living and doing church the way that was commanded in Titus 1 and 2. The basis is the grace of God that brings salvation and sanctification, and teaches us to look forward to the coming of Christ. This is sufficient motivation for us to live the Christian life.

Saving Grace From The Noah Generation - Part 2
Saving Grace is the work of a middle-aged man who fully knows himself and knows how to articulate the past and the present in three very vivid dimensions. Critical to retaining the song's pathos though, Tom doesn't project a future down this new path. It's important that Square One is here and now. It's important that being present in a moment and recognizing that every day and every minute is a chance for rebirth and reinvention is unconstrained by a prescribed destination. It's the ultimate expression of freedom.Song : https://youtu.be/Ux-RDvSHcI0REFERENCED IN THE EPISODEJudge Timbers: https://youtu.be/dTiYuYykaMkJake Thistle on American Idol : https://youtu.be/EVUI_FYlScMDon't forget to follow me on social media, like, subscribe, and please, leave a rating if you like the show.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thetompettyprojectBluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/tompettyproject.bsky.socialInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thetompettyprojectYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@thetompettyprojectThreads: https://www.threads.net/@thetompettyprojectAll music, including the theme song, provided by my very best friend Randy Woods. Justin Connor, filmmaker and musician behind The Golden Age, shares how his saxophonist father and jazz-loving parents never encouraged music yet inadvertently programmed workaholism into his DNA—a double-edged sword that became both his greatest asset for wearing multiple hats on independent films and his potential downfall requiring hard drive reformatting of his life. Connor reveals how cigarette addiction reflected grief stored in the lungs, how psychedelics and ayahuasca offered exploration without true addiction, and why workaholism proved more dangerous than any substance by fueling perfectionism, obsessive careerism, and control. Drawing from his upbringing witnessing family dynamics, he explains how directing became about trusting himself as an adult after childhood wounds, why he interned for Eric Holder before a double feature of Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction redirected him to Hollywood, and how creating The Golden Age with superhuman strength felt like lancing a boil that needed purging—a film he could never remake even with 10 million dollars. “You keep running for another place To find that saving grace” probably doesn't hit in the same place for most Pettyheads as “Most things I worry about never happen anyway” but I think there's a comparable profundity to it. That search for spiritual, or social, or emotional redemption is a journey and one that can often feel just out of reach and unattainable, but you run on anyway. Maybe it isn't given equal billing with the sensational line in Crawling Back to You because this song is more of an uptempo rocker rather than a baleful mid tempo ballad. Either way, it's another excellent line that examines the human condition without either prescribing a remedy or casting any judgement.Song : https://youtu.be/vPYFWnzjIy0 REFERENCED IN THE EPISODEJudge Timbers: https://youtu.be/RVFSiRUAkys Jack McNey - Turn this Car Around : https://youtu.be/SGhvLR6dCiw Honest and Unmerciful Podcast: https://tinyurl.com/ysz3cd2d Boogie Chillen : https://youtu.be/w512YXe75mgDon't forget to follow me on social media, like, subscribe, and please, leave a rating if you like the show.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thetompettyprojectBluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/tompettyproject.bsky.socialInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thetompettyprojectYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@thetompettyprojectThreads: https://www.threads.net/@thetompettyprojectAll music, including the theme song, provided by my very best friend Randy Woods.
