This podcast has introduced me to some wonderful and amazing people. One of them provided this recording of Robert Plant and Saving Grace with Suzi Dian, in Malmo, Sweden on May 9, 2025. I play a strong acoustic Four Sticks, a lovely Down to the Sea (off Fate of Nations), and a haunting Gillian Welch song, Orphan Girl. It's nice to hear Robert out and about and enjoying himself.
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 103rd episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. First, we finally found an apartment and have begun the endless process of settling in and making it our own, furnishing it and transferring our stuff from a storage unit in Bismarck to our new home in Utah. I also took in a book chat with author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan of "All About Agatha" promoting the second installment in his ghostwriter mystery series, reviewed in "Ep. 99: Getting Up to Speed" around the 20-minute mark. This set covers discs 1851 to 1875 in my Classic Collection. For my Fuzzy Feature, from Disc 1873, comments on the pilot episode of AMC production "Rubicon," along with my 13th ever "VideoFuzzy the Video" posted here: https://youtu.be/j0quoW7veBo Light set of Cross Connections for this set which tracked James Badge Dale, Mary Lynn Rasjkub, Stephen Root, Iqbal Theba, Rich Sommer, Michael Badalucco, Laura San Giacomo, Jim Beaver, Amber Benson, Sterling K. Brown, Linda Blair, Devon Gummersall and Matt Keeslar. Also highlighted Golden Thread Michael McKeon and Golden Prime Stephen Tobolowsky's appearance in "Radioland Murders" alongside Brian Benben, Mary Stuart Masterson, George Burns, Ned Beatty, Christopher Lloyd, Anita Morris, Corbin Berntson, Bobcat Goldthwait and Larry Miller. In my Classic Collection, comments on the fifth-season "Doctor Who" episode "Amy's Choice" featuring The Dream Lord. Also, Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman in "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother," "Radioland Murders," "100 Questions," "Saving Grace," "Drop Dead Diva" and "Persons Unknown." In Video Outreach, I broke into my 10th binder with this set, so I took some time to look back at what turned up in binder no. 9, including President Obama's first term, passage of the Affordable Care Act, and ... I put a few notes together on my long overdue discussion of "Flashforward." Under Book Report, I talk about some of the books I read on my trip to D.C. for Kemper's book tour, including Lucy Foley's "The Guest List." Also, an anthology of short mysteries by contemporary authors detailing new adventures of beloved Agatha Christie creation Miss Marple titled, simply "Agatha Christie's Marple." And on my stop through Chicago I found a fun independent bookshop called "Bookends and Beginnings," and a speculative think-piece called "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig -- fun! In What I've Been Watching, I'm still waiting on our stuff to get here, because it will include my VHS-to-DVD dubbers and maybe let me address some issues I've had with my archiving and cataloging efforts. The trip and the move have already delayed my commentary on the second season of "Doctor Who," but I discussed second-season episode "The Story and the Engine" which I found to be confusing. Also, comments on four "My Hero Academia" movie releases, which I watched with Ralph ahead of our move. SPREADING THE WORD! Ego-free actor, Bailey Chase and I talk about his incredible acting career spanning two decades through television and the movie screen, his fleeing Los Angeles to a more grounded, easy living town in the South, his exposure to crack cocaine during his teen years, his path to earning a psychology degree while playing football for arguably one of the most overrated colleges in the country. Why is a walk in a garden so relaxing? Because we were created to live in God's garden of perfection, forever. Unfortunately, as the story goes, Adam and Eve made a fatal error and were forced to make their home in the garden of sin instead, where nothing is perfect or peaceful. But remember, this is God's story! God came looking for Adam and Eve after they disobeyed. And in His grace, He still comes looking for us today. Jill Briscoe takes us through biblical examples of God's saving grace and how He offers us a way to His riches through Christ. Oregon's Westward Whiskey filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week, as the House Spirits-owned distillery tries to reorganize its business and keep the stills running. CEO Tom Mooney joins us this week in his first in-depth interview since the filing, and explains why Chapter 11 doesn't automatically mean going out of business. In the news, the Trump Administration has set a 10% import tariff on all whiskies and most other exports for at least 90 days while talks continue with U.S. trading partners. Buffalo Trace is cleaning up after massive flooding, while Maker's Mark is introducing a new whisky…one that's not a Bourbon.

Dokken was formed in the late 1970s by vocalist Don Dokken. The band came into its own in the early ‘80s with the classic lineup of Don on vocals, George Lynch on guitar, Jeff Pilson on bass, and Mick Brown on drums. Their debut album, Breaking the Chains, released in 1981, didn't gain immediate traction but laid the foundation for what would become one of the more recognized names in melodic metal. The breakthrough came with Tooth and Nail in 1984, followed by Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack. These albums produced a number of hits—songs like “Into the Fire,” “Just Got Lucky,” and “Alone Again”—which earned the band regular MTV rotation and a growing international fanbase. Don Dokken's vocals blended melody with grit, while George Lynch brought a technically aggressive and distinctive guitar style that played a major role in shaping their sound.By 1987, the band was touring with acts like Aerosmith and AC/DC and headlining their own arena shows. They also contributed the track “Dream Warriors” to the Nightmare on Elm Street 3 soundtrack, which gave them additional mainstream exposure. But with success came internal strain. The tension between Don Dokken and George Lynch was well-known and often spilled over into the band's creative process. The two had what could be described as a musical cold war, and while that friction helped define their sound, it also led to the band's breakup in 1989.Over the decades that followed, the band went through multiple lineup changes. Don remained the frontman and creative anchor. Since the early 2000s, guitarist Jon Levin has held the guitar spot, earning respect from fans for honoring the original material while also bringing his own energy to the band.In 2023, Dokken released a new album, Heaven Comes Down. The album stayed true to the band's identity while incorporating more modern production elements. The songwriting remained melodic and direct, and it was generally well-received by long-time listeners. Notably, three songs recorded during those sessions didn't make the final tracklist. Don has mentioned the possibility of releasing those as part of a future EP.There has also been increasing interest in the reconnection between Don and George Lynch. Though there's no formal reunion, George has appeared onstage with Don several times in recent years. The chemistry appears to be intact, and the two have expressed mutual respect in recent interviews. Whether this leads to a new song, a studio collaboration, or something more remains to be seen.Dokken continues to tour and record, and despite the changes and challenges over the years, the band remains active. Whether you've been following them since the ‘80s or just discovering them now, Dokken's music still resonates—and their story is still being written.

God's Saving Grace Changes Everything. Acts 9:1-31. March 16, 2025. Rick Reeves.
This Tuesday, don't miss a special highlight episode as we gear up for an unforgettable conversation dropping this Thursday.E.Z. shares a powerful testimony of transformation through God's grace. Born in Lebanon, his life nearly ended before it began, as his mother attempted to abort him but was stopped by her doctor. In 1980, Emeal moved to America, where he struggled to adjust. Unable to speak much English, he faced challenges in school, frequently fought, and stole, leading to a troubled childhood. Raised in a culturally Catholic home, he sought to reform himself after his first Holy Communion at eight years old but remained a practical atheist, living a life far from God.In high school, Emeal succumbed to peer pressure. Elected freshman class president, he was expelled for bad behavior and later joined one of the most notorious gangs in the United States for acceptance and belonging. His life spiraled further out of control, leading to expulsion from another school and self-harm. Despite knowing something was missing, he clung to sin, believing he lacked the power to change. One night, while still entrenched in his old life, Emeal reluctantly attended an evangelistic event. There, the worship and message touched his heart. Hearing the gospel of grace for the first time, he realized salvation was a free gift. Overwhelmed, he surrendered to Christ, and his life was instantly transformed. Burdens lifted, Emeal became a new man, and his joy was undeniable. He confessed his sins to his family and began living for Christ, leaving behind his rap career, gang ties, and sinful habits.Emeal's new found faith brought dramatic change. Once an angry and rebellious teenager, he became gracious and forgiving. He returned to school, excelled academically, and led Bible studies, using every opportunity to glorify God. His zeal for evangelism grew, leading him to connect with Ray Comfort, whose ministry inspired him. This connection sparked a new chapter in Emeal's life, eventually leading to his leadership at Living Waters ministry. God also blessed Emeal with a wife. After praying for a partner to comfort him following the passing of his mother, he met Rachel, Ray Comfort's daughter, and knew she was the one. They fell in love, married, and have since celebrated 27 years together with children and grandchildren.Today, Emeal reflects on God's incredible work in his life. From a rebellious youth to a leader in ministry, his story is a testimony to God's grace and power. Emeal sees it as an honor to serve as an ambassador for Christ, using his story to inspire others and glorify God. Send us a textThanks for listening! A jeweler puts a diamond on a black velvet background in order to highlight the stunning beauty of the diamond shining all the more brightly against the dark background. The gospel is the same way—it shines at its brightest when seen against the backdrop of the condemnation of sin and death that we deserve. Knowing our desperate condition—that we are under God's wrath and hopeless without a Rescuer— makes God's saving grace in the death of Jesus the sweetest news ever. This week in Romans 3:21-31, we encountered the heart of the gospel. Because Jesus died in our place, those who trust in him are counted as righteous. And God, the Just and the Justifier, is satisfied. He can pardon us completely, so that when he looks at us, he sees the beautiful robe of righteousness that Jesus purchased for us (Isaiah 61:10).

I would say that Grace Keeling, (or GK Barry) is the first person in the UK to successfully navigate herself from TikTok to mainstream television. Fresh from her time in the I'm A Celeb jungle, Grace came in to the studio to chat everything from bush-tucker trials to her love life.GK Barry gained her huge following on TikTok for her unadulterated and hilarious videos, leading to hosting her own podcast, Saving Grace and now Loose Women's youngest presenter. But Grace hasn't always been the confident persona she is online; bullied at school and often dealing with anxiety that left her unable to leave the house, Grace opens up candidly about her journey to now. This conversation with Grace reminded me that no matter where you start or how out of place you feel, you can shape whoever you want to be; proof that you're never defined by your beginnings. If you enjoyed this episode, please click follow - we have so many great guests like this one, you won't want to miss out!You can also follow us on Instagram and Tiktok @greatcompanypodcast and if you'd like to get in touch, you can email us at greatcompany@jampotproductions.co.uk--THE CREDITSExec Producer: Jemima RathboneAssistant Producer: Gurlina HeerVideo: Jake JiVideo: Ryley Kirby Social Media: Laura CoughlanGreat Company is an original podcast from JamPot Hosted on Acast. Do you take control or trust God? Welcome to the Daily Devo. I am Vince Miller. In today's reading, we will be concluding Chapter 24. This chapter begins with David seeking refuge in Engedi while Saul learns of his whereabouts and pursues him with 3000 soldiers. Upon reaching the location, Saul unknowingly entered a cave where David hid. Despite having the opportunity to take Saul's life, David chose to spare him and instead risked his own safety by leaving the cave. The text takes an unexpected turn when Saul responds to David in a surprising manner, and this interaction is further elaborated in today's text 1 Samuel 24:20-22. And now, behold, I know that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand. Swear to me therefore by the Lord that you will not cut off my offspring after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father's house." And David swore this to Saul. Then Saul went home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold. — 1 Samuel 24:20-22 Saul publicly acknowledges something everyone else has already acknowledged for years — David would be the next king. But Saul, in a sober moment, asks David to grant him two requests. First, he asked that David "not cut off my offspring" or that David not follow the ancient Near Eastern custom of killing all descendants of his dynastic predecessor. Second, he asked that David "not destroy my name out of my father's house," a request closely related to the first but underscoring the preservation of his name. Without hesitation, David pledged his oath to Saul, reaffirming the solemn promise he had previously made with Jonathan. David's unwavering commitment would later manifest in his benevolent act of providing sanctuary, bestowing a position of honor, and granting a generous inheritance to Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9:1–13; 19:29; 21:7). David's decision to spare Saul's life in that cave, even when it seemed like the perfect opportunity to eliminate his enemy, speaks volumes about the kind of man and leader David aspired to be—one ruled by faith in God. He saw beyond his need to control the situation, understanding that God controlled all things, including his future. We are called to live lives marked by faith that expresses the same qualities: mercy and grace, not vengeance. In this story, we catch a small glimpse of the Gospel. David's faith in God resulted in the salvation of himself, his 600 men, Saul, and his 3000 men. Not one man's life was lost in this moment. Not only that, it resulted in a double oath that extended Saul's family and name to future generations. In the same way, Jesus's faith in God extends salvation to all future generations. Like Saul, we who were delusional sinners blatantly rebellious to God in every way and deserving of God's vengeance were redeemed by a sinless man who offered us saving grace and mercy through sacrifice so that we might know God's grace to all future generations. Today, consider the capacity of faith in God to extend life rather than take it. Don't take matters into your own hands; trust in God's hand, and see the power of God's saving grace in every moment of your day. Extend grace because you've received the ultimate grace through Him. #FaithInAction, #ExtendGrace, #DavidAndSaul Ask This: How can you practice extending grace in your relationships, even when it's difficult? In what situations do you struggle to trust God's plan over your own? Do This: Have faith in God's grace. Pray This: Lord, help me to trust in Your plan and extend grace to others, just as David did with Saul. May my actions reflect Your mercy and love in every situation I face. Amen. Play This: Stand In Faith.

To worship an idol is to replace God with something or someone else What is an idol? Anything you love more than God Anything you fear more than God Anything you trust more than God Anything you serve more than God Idolatry is... 1. Distrust of God (v. 1) 2. Disobedience to God (v. 2-4a) 3. Distortion of God (v. 4b-6) - Do not believe you are immune from idols in your life. Run to Christ…and Christ alone.

Ozzy Osbourne, along with his bandmates in Black Sabbath, invented heavy metal, and throughout Ozzy's post-Sabbath solo career he would invent new, self-destructive forms of sabotage. Arrested at an early age for breaking and entering, Ozzy Osbourne refused to conform to societal norms and common decency. He would go on to be arrested numerous times and escape too many near-death experiences to recount, including a plane crashing into his tour bus that would ultimately kill a dear friend and bandmate. Memorable Quote: People like to say, “God helps them who help themselves!” And what they mean by that is, “We like it when people work hard and pull themselves up by their bootstraps.” But the biblical reality is that God helps those who realize they are helpless. Lost. And in constant need of Him. And His help is not just in the form of Saving Grace. Saving Grace is truly amazing. It stepped in, along with its sister, Mercy, when I deserved nothing but the wrath of God for my sin. And Mercy put my punishment on Jesus. While Grace stood with open arms, inviting me to come into fellowship with God. That is Saving Grace. And that is awesome. But God also provides a different Grace. A living, sustaining, “I-even-care-about-smoke-detectors” Grace. A daily Grace for even the things that are, at best, mundane. A Sustaining Grace. Hit songwriter, Emily Weisband, joins Caroline for this episode of Get Real. When Caroline heard Emily's “Champagne & Sushi” she literally hit her knees and wept. She has never in her life felt more seen. She has lost 5 pregnancies and it is truly the saddest, most isolating, devastating experience, that you go through ALL ALONE as a woman. Yes of course your partner, family and friends are there and ache with you, but it's a heartbreaking solo journey. Emily wrote a song that captures every feeling a woman feels who goes through miscarriage. It's a true masterpiece. But that's what Emily does. To Caroline, and many others in the Nashville creative community, Emily is a musical genius. Her ability to capture raw human emotion and put it into song takes your breath away. She has written songs for Chris Young, Sheryl Crow, Anne Wilson, Jeremy Camp, Dasha, Danielle Bradbury, Lily Rose, Gabby Barrett, Camila Cabello, Hillary Scott, Noah Cyrus, Lauren Alaina, FGL, Sam Hunt, Dan & Shay, Old Dominion, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker to name a few. And with each song she writes, she lets the listener see themselves in the story, feel seen and a little less alone. It was so healing having such a raw real conversation with Emily all about the real, raw, often painful yet beautiful life experience.
