This week we talk with 14-year-old Wyatt who started the Worldwide Dragon Shooting Day. When Wyatt was 7 years old, his dad died suddenly. He loved archery and he was an artist who drew Dragons and worked on Dungeons and Dragons. Wyatt had a wish just after his father’s death and that was he wanted thousands of archers all over the world to shoot at Dragon targets and honor his dad and raise money for those less fortunate. His first year he had 116 archers here in Wisconsin slay dragons and raise over $700 for a children’s grief group. That grew year after year and has expanded to over 70 countries and nearly every state here in the U.S. Wyatt feels good knowing that people are out there slaying dragons with him and raising money for those less fortunate. Through an incredible story to get where he is today, Kurt Stapleton taught himself how to knit while incarcerated and to this day has sent knitted hats all across the world to those battling cancer.
