Welcome to Eclectic Talks (E.T) hosted by Bex 'n' Bee have ASD and ADHD. Here at E. T. we plan to interview members of the neurodiverse community and bring light to what can at times be a difficult journey for us ND folk. We hope to find ways to inspire and educate the world about the ND community. We also hope to have a laugh along the way and get to know more of the ND community.

    This week on Eclectic Talks we discussed pretty much everything again! We do pretty well at staying on track when we have guests on with us but leave us alone for 5 minutes and our brains go mental! In an attempt to summarise all of our insightfulness we talked about making it the "thing" to actually talk about the problems we are facing whilst we are facing them, not after the fact. We all need support and if you are someone who doesn't have that support always feel free to message us. We also talk about different types of therapies and how they have helped us.     This week on E.T. we talk about emotional well-being in times of conflict. We talk about times when we might find ourselves deeling with conflict and how we might respond to these situations. As ND's we both struggle with conflict, however, we do manage to find ourselves in the path of conflict on a regular basis. Because of this we have had to put a lot of effort into thinking about how to resolve these situations or avoid them where possible. We share with you some random stories, tips and ramble relentlessly!

    This week we have the lovely @scottishpsychologistmummy Diann joining us. Diann is an Educational Psychologist from Scotland who qualified in 2013. Diann talks to us about what the job of an educational psychologists is and how to get into the practice. Diann also gives us some amazing advice for anyone looking to get into EP and for anyone looking at going back to university. All things Bex will be doing in September so you might notice her fan girling as EP is one of her special interest!!

    Evi @justalittleevil is a trans Latino actor from Chicago who was late diagnosed with ADHD. Evi loved fictional worlds growing up and creating her own characters. Her love for fiction and movies inspired her to seek out a career in acting. Evi found escapism in these fantasy worlds, which for a child growing up with undiagnosed ADHD can be a much needed safe haven. Evi has taken the time to talk to us about her life and the ups and downs within the acting world and how her ADHD comes into play.

    This week on Eclectic Talks we are joined by Ben from @unleashingadhd Ben was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6. After suffering a severe psychosis he was rediagnosed as an adult with ADHD and Bipolar. Ben discovered through finding support for his own mental health that he too wanted to work and help support others mental health. Ben created 'The Alpha Wolf' method and through his personal coaching works with clients to support them on their mental health journeys. Ben explains to us what the 'Alpha Wolf' method is and how he uses it to help his clients. He also offers us some amazing advice for when someone might be looking for the right mental health service and what to consider when finding what works for you.

    This week on Eclectic Talks we were joined by Maggie. You can find Maggie on her Instagram @mhandsart. Maggie is an artist and photographer who has lived with mental health struggles for many years and has worked hard to over come the battles she has faced. Maggie has used art to help her healing and explains to us her relationship with art growing up and how she was discouraged and then how art therapy helped her reconnect with her creative side.

JJ shares his feelings about counselling and how it helped him open up to spiritual training. JJ also tells us about the impact spiritual training has had on his life and mental health. JJ doesn't have social media as he found the negative impact on his mental health out weighed the positives of having it. Mona has been very open when talking about mental health and her experiences on her blog, talking about her struggles with anorexia, anxiety and bereavement by suicide. Today we got an insight into Mona's recent diagnosis and how she has found the process, managed her feelings growing up and how ASD has had its ups and down in her work.     Welcome to the start of our podcast journey! This episode is a quick introduction explaining what we are planning to do with the podcast (with the added usually distractions and rambling). We are hoping to have some interesting guest speakers over the coming weeks who either work with neurodiverse people or are neurodiverse themselves.
