Jesus is creating a new humanity by breathing the breath of life upon the Church, just as God in the beginning breathed the breath of life upon a pile of dirt to create the first humanity. This breath of life is the Holy Spirit. Our part in all this is to develop a posture of openness and receptivity to God the Holy Spirit. We want to be the kind of people who welcome the Holy Spirit on a regular basis. As Christians we remain open to receive the Holy Spirit primarily for two things: transformation and empowerment.

In a world where fear, division, and isolation often feel like the norm—what if love became our home? What if, at the center of the universe, there isn't just chaos or power… but a holy relationship? On Trinity Sunday, we explore the image of God revealed through Jesus—one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A God who invites us out of the house of fear and into the house of love where's a seat at the table for everyone.

In 1971, commenting on the Charismatic Renewal, the German Catholic theologian Karl Rahner said, "The devout Christian of the future will either be a 'mystic,' one who has 'experienced' something, or he will cease to be anything at all." Christian mysticism is simply the experience of God, and the Holy Spirit is the experience of God.

The Ascension is not about the absence of Christ, but about the ascendancy of Christ. The ascension of Jesus to the right hand of God in the heavens is the ascendancy, the rise, the elevation, the promotion, the exaltation of Jesus to the position of all authority in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, the ascension of Christ does not lead to the absence of Christ, but to his cosmic presence everywhere.
Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker (of Sweet Soubrette and Funkrust Brass Band) and Jeff Morris (of Kotorino). Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey, Charles Addams, and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, science, and the occult. Charming Disaster's music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale, they have toured the United States and Europe, and have opened for Rasputina, Aurelio Voltaire, and The Dresden Dolls. Recent appearances include Dragon Con, Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre in NYC, the Rochester Fringe Festival, and the Coney Island Sideshow stage. Their critically acclaimed albums include Love, Crime & Other Trouble (2015), Cautionary Tales (2017), Spells + Rituals (2019), Our Lady of Radium (2022), Super Natural History (2023), and the singles collection Time Ghost (2024). website www.CharmingDisaster.com social media www.Instagram.com/charmingdisasterband www.Facebook.com/charmingdisaster About Music Matters with Darrell Craig Harris The Music Matters Podcast is hosted by Darrell Craig Harris, a globally published music journalist, professional musician, and Getty Images photographer. On this week's episode we assembled a crew that you just need to hear to believe: the legendary Bomani Jones, comedian Stavros Halkias, and Trey Murphy III of the New Orleans Pelicans. The crew discusses NBA topics such as who can be the face of the league and the changing of the guard with young superstars, what changes need to be made to the league, if any, the state of NBA media, the 82-game season, and much more. They also discuss just as many non-NBA related topics such as the worst purchases they've ever made, the different aspects of comedy, how the internet and our usage of the internet has changed over the years, and more. The third appearance of the risen Christ to the disciples in John's Gospel is when Jesus restores Peter after his thrice denial around a charcoal fire in the courtyard of Caiaphas. The story of Jesus and seven disciples having breakfast around a charcoal fire on the shore of the sea of Galilee is one of the most tender and beautiful stories in all the Bible.

This one's an eclectic collection of thoughts emerging from listener messages and the ongoing experience of running games in the wake of recent episodes. When I started this podcast, it was really about getting my concern about losing gamers to the experience of play - of people giving up the play which enriches our lives under the pressures of modern living. At the same time, I was aware that the title - Roleplay Rescue - implies that the show is about recovering the art and depth of roleplaying. Strangely, all these years later, that is what is emerging. This episode, I tune back in to the community with a handful of messages received over the past month.
