Have you ever grumbled under your breath “why is this my life!?” or “is it just ME?” or “Is it just MY kid who sticks their naked butt in my face and asks me to rub it nightly?” Then you’ve found your people. It’s so easy to share the highlight reel on social media, but we’re two moms not afraid to share the stories and discuss the topics so many women are facing that aren’t making it into our digital scrapbook. Life may feel like a mess, but girl, you’re a HOT mess!
Hypothetically speaking... you're listening to this podcast wondering how we aren't best friends yet. Right!? Or maybe you're really wondering how it is we function as full adults considering some of our answers in this week's episode. What are you curious to know? Hypothetically speaking, of course!
Giving it the old hot mess mom try and getting back on track with the podcast! We have missed you so much and decided to do a little recap by discussing some of our challenges but also some of the great things that have happened over the past several months. We're still a hot mess, so we hope you'll jump right back in with us like we never even left!
Thank you to all of you who have been on this journey with us for the past year! In this episode (it's a long one!) we reflect on what has changed over the last year and discuss some of our worries about the upcoming school year. We also share some of our embarrassing stories and what we hope for in the future. Thank you for coming along on this anxiety-filled ride with us!
With a milestone birthday coming up, Coral put together a 40 before 40 list and we discuss both short and longer term bucket list items. Do you have things you want to do before you die? Before your next birthday? Tomorrow isn't guaranteed so don't let those wishes go, friends!
This week Pam shares about some important women's health topics and we discuss how all women fold their underwear and bra into their pants at the GYN. Right!? We also discuss the aging vagina, which if you didn't know was a concern, you're welcome. Important topics that sometimes aren't openly discussed among women and we dare you not to laugh along with our ridiculous stories!
Better play the lottery today folks because we're back for a second week in a row! Join us for some more hot mess mom moments as we discuss how Pam was almost arrested, Coral drove over 24 hours in one weekend, and celebrating some health and wellness successes.
We're back at it again, trying to get our hot messes in gear and get back into a routine again so we can connect with all of you amazing folks who listen. Catch up with what's been going on over the last few months from family moving to getting banned on tinder. It's always an interesting time with hot mess mom friends like us!
This week we kick off a new series called "Hot Mess Moms Try It" where we try new products or ideas so maybe you don't have to. Since we're both working on eliminating gluten and Coral is dairy-free we try some (expensive) gluten free and vegan snacks. Some are a hit and some are a BIG miss! We hope you enjoy!
We're back! If you weren't sure we would make it back... neither were we, but here we are! We love ya'll so much and missed being able to connect with friends and moms and women in this way. The raw, and only slightly edited, hot mess life of these two moms is back and we're sharing some interesting updates. We hope this is the first of much more to come!
We're back! It's been a tough holiday season, and we've been gone for a few weeks, but we're back and we've missed you all! We're dedicated to finishing the year off strong so this week we're chatting about 2020 and reflecting on the good and the bad. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!
We can all agree 2020 has been, well, kind of like hell, right!? And as we approach Thanksgiving it's a time to reflect on the things we're thankful for. We think it's OK to be a little angry at the hand we've been dealt this year, but hopefully we can all still find ways to be thankful and we're certainly thankful for all of you. At least one of us is... And if you just can't find many reasons to be thankful, we do discuss the topic of organ donation. It's just kind of what we do!
If you've been here for a while you know we don't shy away from talking about hard things. This week we talk about navigating separation in a marriage, ending of relationships, and impacts it can have on kids and life in general.
It's officially November and for Pam that means IT'S CHRISTMAS! So we're kicking off the holiday season by sharing some of our family traditions, favorite treats, favorite movies, and plans for the season of giving. Are you Team "Decorate Early" or Team "Thanksgiving First"??
We're going a little more lighthearted this week and share our top shows and movies to binge watch. We have everything from light and bubbly, to dramatic and crime-filled on our lists. We also somehow get off on a tangent about concerts and share our first and favorite concert experiences. Do ya'll miss concerts as much as we do!?
This week we're talking about mental health and some of the stigma that surrounds seeking out help. We share some of our experiences with therapists, talk about how to find one, and a little about how it works. The world is heavy these days and we can all benefit from a little help and we encourage you to reach out!
This week to chat about the pressures women face in our world today to look perfect, act perfect, raise the perfect family, all while keeping it all together. Well, if you know us at all by now, you know that ain't us! We challenge you to spread some kindness this week so we can lift each other up and collectively say "I've got your back, girl!"
We are very excited to have gained a lot of new followers in the last few weeks so we thought we would play a little game to share more about ourselves and get to know each other even better. Who is afraid of lady bugs? Who has a secret crush on the dude from Twister?Don't forget to join us on Facebook for our live chat at 8:30PM ET 10/5 to get in on the convo!
This week we're taking a break from thinking too much about virtual hell, we mean SCHOOL, and sharing what we have learned about ourselves from a popular personality type indicator and our horoscopes. What can the universe tell us that might help us navigate this madness!?
Join us as we reflect on another week of virtual learning in a pandemic (what isn't interesting about that!?) and discuss the topic of help. We touch on how to help friends who don't ask for help (because we know a thing or two about that) and hope we might all be motivated to put some kindness out into the universe!
In this week's episode we chat about relationships and their challenges while also discussing the opposite end of the spectrum and the many wonders of meeting people in today's online dating world. Is the grass really greener? Can single moms date? How many kids is too many? (Asking for a friend...)
Did you feel completely overwhelmed by the first day of virtual learning? So did we! We had to get together and commiserate about our experience which ultimately resulted in reflecting on just how much we value teachers. You can do this! We'll be here to laugh through it with you.
This week we begin the episode by reflecting on some things we are grateful for as we prepare to tackle the new normal of "virtual learning". Do you have your headphones and schedules and meal plans all ready? Don't worry, neither do we!
Welcome back to Episode 2! We're so glad you decided to join us again. This week we talk about how not OK we are and hope you'll realize that's completely normal to not be OK all the time. Let's focus on some of the positives this week and be kind to ourselves. You're doing the best you can, and you're not alone!
Welcome to our first episode! Do you also fear garbage disposals? Wonder how you'll be loved if you morph into a snail? Constantly get interrupted by your children? Then you're in the right spot.
