Warrior woman—welcome back. This is part two of our hypertrophy deep dive (if you missed the bangin' butt episode, go back and listen to that first). Today, we're moving down the chain—into your quads, hammies, and calves—so you can build legs that look like they train. This isn't just about lunges and leg presses. This is about movement quality, muscular tension, execution, and beauty. It's about finally understanding what it means to train legs properly, so you can build shape, strength, and confidence that people notice. And it's not about smashing yourself with circuits or chasing the burn—it's about training beautifully. If you've been training your legs but still aren't seeing definition—no shape, no pop—this one's for you. Because you're probably doing it like everyone else. And that's the problem. We go deep. Anatomically, strategically, methodically. You'll walk away knowing exactly how to grow muscle in your quads, hamstrings, and calves—and how to do it the Warrior way. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Hypertrophy = Length Under Load + Control Building muscle in your lower body requires deep range, slow tempo, and quality movement—not rushing through circuits. Train Legs With Structure, Not Chaos Random exercises and circuit-style training won't build the legs you want. You need structure, mobility, stability, and progression. The Three-Part Framework for Beautiful Movement: 1. Mobility – Can you access the right positions? 2. Stability – Can you control your body through them? 3. Strength – Can you load them with precision and power? Quads love deep squats, split squats, and leg presses—trained with tempo and control. Hamstrings thrive with hinge patterns like RDLs and leg curls—done slowly and intentionally. Calves matter—for aesthetics, balance, and performance. Stop skipping them. Combining multi-joint and single-joint exercises (e.g., squats and leg extensions) delivers the best growth results. If it's rushed, unstable, or ugly—it's not effective. POWERFUL QUOTES FROM THE EPISODE: “If the movement feels beautiful, it's because you're moving well. That's what builds a body you love.” “We're not chasing the burn—we're chasing execution.” “Women who have legs that turn heads? They move well. They own their training.” “Time under tension equals hypertrophy. Quality equals results.” “This isn't about smashing your legs until you can't walk—it's about moving in a way that works.”
Sometimes life has us feeling like a total hot mess… and other times, we're absolutely bringing the heat! So, where are you this summer? Is life overflowing with chaos? Are you juggling it all like a pro? Or maybe you're rocking that sweet spot of messy and hot. No judgment here because every season has its place. In this episode, the LUL coaches check their own “hot mess meter” and share why some messes are totally worth it. Stream this one for laughs, real talk, and maybe a little permission to embrace the chaos.
In this week's episode of Nacho Fitness Coach, Caleigh and Sara take a dive into the Brain Type test from our friend PJ at XGym. We find out which brain types we are, whether they actually line up with how we see ourselves, and what that means for our workouts (and our lives). There's plenty of chaos along the way—think accidental butthole memoir titles, questionable lying skills, and Sarah realizing she might have a cold, dead heart. Come learn a little about your brain, laugh a lot, and maybe figure out why you work out—or don't—the way you do.Take the Brain Type Test!Connect with us on social media!Instagram | TikTok | Threads | Youtube | Facebook | X (Twitter) | WebsiteThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. In this spicy, eye-opening episode, Quinn and Britta take a wild ride through the history and heartbreak of heterosexuality—inspired by Jane Ward's brilliant book, The Tragedy of Heterosexuality. They explore:
You know that meme… Charlie Day, crazed look, wall of string, pointing at chaos? That's the typical freelancer trying to make a decision. A simple pricing change? You're mapping out lifetime value, market benchmarks, “CFO-level cost abstractions” (whatever the hell that means). Meanwhile, someone else just ran a quick test, got a client, and moved on. While one person's “trying to decide on a niche”… Another one has tested 5 different offers and actually figured out what will sell. If you've been stuck in “procrasturbation”… Tweaking your logo. Updating your website. Getting ready to get ready… Instead of launching offers, testing, having conversations, and figuring it out by failing fast… Listen to THIS EPISODE now. And then DO SOMETHING. Move fast. Speed is king. And indecision is the tax you're paying. There's a specific reason I'm bringing this up now… Because I get so mad when I see freelancers getting stuck on this stuff when there is a simple path that leads directly to the 3% of clients who are ready to hire you right now. Later this week, we're offering something special to a handful of freelancers And it might have something to do with us handing you our entire client acquisition system. That includes funnels, follow-up, CRM. And we're covering the software cost too. More about that later this week. In the meantime check out the episode. ✨ Episode Summary: What if your rock bottom was actually the launchpad for your dream life? In this emotionally raw and powerfully uplifting episode, I sit down with Morgan of Morgan Manifest, who shares her journey from burnout boss babe to soul-led entrepreneur—and how a deep season of grief, surrender, and trust cracked open her greatest manifestations. We talk about money, spiritual awakenings, magnetic mirrors, and why Morgan believes your inner child should be the VP of your destiny. Through her personal story of loss, intuition, and resilience, Morgan shows us what it really means to co-create with the universe—and how to manifest more alignment, abundance, and joy without burning out in the process. If you're navigating grief, craving reinvention, or just ready to live more fully in your truth—this episode is the permission slip your soul's been waiting for.
What if your biggest heartbreaks, failures, and messy breakdowns weren't the end of your story—but the beginning of your magic? In this bold, beautiful, and brutally honest episode of the Sex and Bacon podcast, Sarah sits down with Michelle Burke—author of Hot Mess Magic—for a heart-opening conversation about owning your chaos, finding power in your pain, and learning how to rise without needing to be "put together" first. From losing her dad and grandma within weeks to screaming grief into the sand on a frozen Jersey beach, Michelle shares the raw truth behind what it means to discover the magic in your mess. They explore what “dark feminine energy” really looks like (spoiler: it's not about manipulation—it's about unapologetic power), why emotional availability in dating starts with self-honesty, and how sitting in discomfort is the only way to truly heal. If you've ever felt like a disaster in lipstick—or worried you're too broken to find love, success, or peace—this one's your reminder that messy doesn't mean unworthy. It means you're mid-alchemy.
The Term ended with a whole lot of nonsense. ----- Taking a sledgehammer where a chisel -- or better yet nothing -- would do, the Supreme Court nixed injunctions it didn't like by striking down the power to issue universal injunctions totally and addressed schools teaching that gay people exist by expanding strict scrutiny to parents lodging religious complaints. But at least they whined and took swipes at each other over it! Meanwhile, Justice Sonia Sotomayor figured out that if the majority wants to hide their rulings, the dissent can characterize them on their own. Also, the University of Florida Law School gave a top prize to a paper advocating a Whites-Only Constitution. The professor? Trump-appointed federal judge. The school's effort to explain itself left a lot to be desired.

Our guest for this episode is the hilarious actor and social media star Clara Batten! We talk about everything from writing books and kickstarting your career to what it's like to have dinner with Boris Johnson. Clara tells us how she makes her brilliant reaction videos, and what the people she's reacting to make of them. We discuss how she got banned and then unbanned from Instagram, and how her comedy has helped her return to acting after a 20 year break. We also talk about Clara's desert island drinks, her exciting new project with a close personal friend of ours, and we play a quick round of Wine Game. To finish, there are some superb Scummy Mummy Confessions, and Helen rounds everything off nicely by spectacularly insulting our guest. You can follow Clara on the socials @clara_batten_. This week on Mea Culpa, Michael finds himself at peak frustration as the Trump Train barrels this country towards oblivion. How can a nation that is built upon reason find itself in such an unreasonable position, where a two-bit, wannabe despot can work the corners of our legal system to halt the entire transition of power? With the country exhausted from the trauma of this never ending election and the looming specter of death from COVID, we all are stuck in a terrible limbo. Searching for answers and rational thought, Michael speaks with Harvard University Professor of Constitutional Law, Laurence Tribe. One of the main architects of Al Gore's recount fight from the 2000 election, Tribe has argued 35 cases in front of the Supreme Court and finds himself mired in the current mess; advising the Biden team from afar as one frivolous lawsuit after another is filed. His words provide a balm for the ever present irritation of Trump and his team of legal crows. Also, make sure to check o... 313: Ellie's Dad - life lessons, a quiz, and some "jokes" What are the lyrics to Happy Birthday? What is the correct term for male swimwear? Who is Jennifer Lopez? Ellie's Dad knows the answer to none of these questions, and we are here to mock him for it. Yes, it's a Father's Day Special as Jim returns to the podcast. We discuss Crystal Palace's FA cup win, aka the best day of his life. He shares the number one nugget of wisdom he's learned after 78 years on the planet, and Ellie comes up with a new plan to monetise him in his old age. There are some quiz questions, and Confessions involving a Turkish airport, two clothes steamers, and the Virgin Mary. Listen right to the end for a classic Dad joke. Trigger warning: this episode includes several instances of Jim singing, plus an impression of Joe McElderry by Ellie. If you have been affected by any of the singing on this podcast, we can only apologise. Ellie's Dad isn't on social media. But you can follow him around at our gigs. WE ARE ON OUR!
