On May 18th, the anniversary of his hero, Chris Cornell, Andrew Mann died by his own hand after a very difficult few months. A participant and contributor to this podcast, he was a compelling writer, tireless performer and an incredibly talented vocalist. Above all of this, he was an absolute gentleman and will be sadly missed by any and everyone who had the luck to meet him. This is a short tribute, a collection of his songs about love and his thoughts about life. Get some rest, Buddy.

The Irish Songwriters Podcast is back... and this time... it's personal. No, really, it is. I was recently namechecked and somewhat misrepresented on a very popular podcast and this is my reply. During an interview, Robbie Williams told a version of a story that involves me and, for whatever reason, he ommitted a few important details that I feel are pivotal, so I took the opportunity to tell the full story. Normal service for the Irish Songwriters Podcast will resume in due time.

ISPod Golden Green is a focus on an Irish album, written and recorded by one of the participating writers in the Irish Songwriters Podcast. Today's episode opens the lid on "You Can't Buy Back Your Life" by Corkonian performaing songwriter, Bill Coleman. A 360 degree artistic project, this album marks a seminal moment in the life of its writer, written and recorded in the days of the last or latest economic crash in Ireland. In its conception and execution, its vision and with hindsight, it's a fascinating document of a changing artist in a changing world. It is also poignant that I upload this episode, saddened by the news of Irish Songwriter, Dolores O'Riordan. In her life, though she achieved international acclaim, wealth and prosperity and perceived success, she never found peace. I guess the message here is that life is short, so do what you love doing, today. The songs included in today's ISPod Golden Green are "Offer Up The Hope" "I Wan't You To Know" "False North" "Church Of Second Chances" and "Am I Still Your No.1" YCBBYL Cover design : https://youtu.be/4TvfRV98FX4 Bill Coleman online: http://www.glitchcassidy.com/ www.ispod.ie

This is ISPod Mini, a short episode focusing on the music and thoughts of one individual writer from the many who partcipated in the Irish Songwriter Podcast. Originally from Ballyfermot in Dublin, Declan O'Rourke now lives on the west coast of Ireand. He is frequently namechecked in the talk of 'influences' by the Irish Songwriters I've spoken to and is both critcially and internationally acclaimed. He has recently released a new album, “The Chronicles Of The Great Irish Famine”, a collection of stories untold about a dark part of Irish, and one would have to add British, History. It's a project that required 16 years to complete and on the very cusp of it's release, Declan took the time to talk to me from his tour in Cincinnati, Ohio. We spoke about the new album, his thoughts about art, harmony and love and also that feeling of interregnum, a lull in energy on the completion of a creative project. www.declanorourke.com
