A new podcast from Kasey Van Norman. RELATIONSHIPS {what I wish I knew in my 20s}.
PART 5 : LIVING GOD'S DREAM God will never bypass our humanity to display His glory. He will always use every relationship & experience of our life to love us & teach us to love others like He does. The desires and dreams of our heart are woven into us from the hand of God. He is desperate for us to know a love that sets us free, therefore He fashions our life to spill over into others--to bless, love, and give our life selflessly & sacrificially. His dream for our life is to only & always point to His glory, which will only & always come through loving others.
PART 4 : MISSING GOD'S DREAM God's dream for our life is so often missed, because the world yells at us to "save the world" through our money, status, & platform. But God's dream for our life is known in the simple, every day things, like, being a mom & doing the laundry. His plan for our life is uncovered in the hardest places, like, staying in a hurtful friendship, or, walking through a health crisis. In this session, Kasey teaches how we so often miss God's dream for ourselves & struggle through unnecessary shame & fear.
PART 3 : AN INVITATION TO DREAM God gives His children (Christians) different dreams for their life than He does the lost world. With intimacy & intentionality, God draws us to Himself that we might know He is FOR REAL. Through our indwelling, personal desires God is inviting us in to His glory--what is to come kingdom & the here and now kingdom.
PART 2 : WHY WE DREAM God's ultimate desire is that we know & believe His love for us. Our "callings," "dreams," & "desires" all point to the HOPE of this love that wakes us up each day & keep us moving. Our dreams are the imprint of His love playing out through our mind-connecting us to His divine nature. God uses our dreams to awaken His imprint of love, & to remind us that He is complete control of our life.
PART 1: A DREAMER'S BEGINNING Why do we dream? In other words, why do we receive "visions," feel "called" to a specific venture, or "desire" certain things to come to pass in our life? In this Kasey Van Norman Bible series, she will unpack God's Word to discover why and how God gives us dreams for our life. Stay with us as we look at the life of JOSEPH & discover God's purpose and will for our dreams.
Kasey gives us 3 ways to be on the look-out for deep, intimate friendships--why we should want friends, & why they are important.
This week I was once again honored to be a guest on WDCX radio out of Buffalo, NY. The host, Neil Boron (LifeLine) is absolutely dear to me. He is truly one of the most tender & kind radio hosts ever to interview me. They are doing a segment on how cancer effects our family, community, church, and asked me to speak into it. I was grateful. I have developed a few bold notes after receiving my own 'sucker punch' of cancer in 2012, and I love the Lord for allowing me to speak hope & truth into those of you who are fighting through this illness, or, those of you wearing the brave hat of caregiver. Here are a few ways on how to understand this disease from a redemptive perspective + how to receive & give love well as a church.
