In this episode we spoke to Zoe Sole, our new Social Prescribing Project Worker. We asked the million dollar question, "what is a Social Prescribing?" and found out all about the new project and her new and exciting role for helping to reduce isolation and disadvantage in the community. With the Royal celebrations nearly upon us we spoke to Chesham Bois resident Maureen Drummond for her memories of The Queen which proudly go back to her very Coronation! Maureen also tells us about her various visits to the Royal residencies, which (spoiler alert) she's proudly ticked off one by one! Maureen's husband Jim was also on hand to offer some memories of his own and was so good that he was proudly anointed by Maureen in an unexpected honour...
In the run up to The Queen's Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend celebrations we recently spoke to a number of Chiltern residents to find out their favourite memories of The Queen, and previous Jubilee celebrations. In the first in of our series of ‘Jubilee' themed podcasts we spoke to Amersham resident Richard Kirby who had some vivid memories of the 1977 Jubilee which went on to spark a lifelong interest in The Queen and The Royal Family; a love affair which continues until this day.
In the first of our new series of 'Lets Be Frank' podcasts we speak to Lewis Baker of Phoenix Lifestyle Innovations, a former Oasis service user who now proudly provides most of our fitness groups and activities and discuss his passion and vision for improving mental health support in the community through Physical Exercise and Fitness. In future episodes we'll be speaking to a number of different guests, all of whom provide a raft of groups, activities and interests focussed on promoting and maintaining good mental health in the community.
