But according to drummer Rikki Rockett, the plans fell apart at the negotiating table.The sticking point? Money. Rockett revealed that while he, guitarist C.C. DeVille, and bassist Bobby Dall were all ready to sign, Michaels demanded a much bigger slice of the pie. Specifically, Rockett claims Michaels wanted about 600% more than the rest of the band—essentially $6 for every $1 the others would make."You just can't work that way," Rockett said. He explained that while he loves playing, he doesn't want to work hard just to make someone else rich while he gets a fraction of the pay.Is there bad blood? Surprisingly, Rockett says no. First show of the second year on VBR. Thanks to everyone that has tuned in or downloaded over the last 12 months. Weekly shows are intense and come round so quickly.This week's show is a new music show for January. It's a real mixed bag, I'd only bought 16 new tracks and half of those were real chunky house tracks. You need about 25 for a two hour show so I needed to pad the first hour out but had no idea what to go with.The mix starts with three new tracks on the soulful deep vibe. I then cracked the vinyl out and played two of my favourite Soulfuric tunes. We stayed old skool and vinyl for the next four tracks before coming back up to date with Jay Vegas remake of another old classic from the mid 90's. One of my favourite tunes from back then. Remakes are the order of the day and we pick another with a beefed up version of The Fog's "Been A Long Time".Once we get past Yolanda Be Cool it's all new, up to the last track.We first pay a visit to Old London town and those lumpy bumpy UKG beats.The rest of the mix is the new house sound I'm hearing in the underground clubs.My fav is the Haritas track, absolute mayhem, love it.We finish off with another classic from the 00's - Shakedown - At Night.Unfortunately my computer crashed just as the last track was mixing in. It meant my show ended abruptly five minutes early and the recording stopped. I had to stitch it back together again.Next boat party for those of you in Sydney is March 6th, a Friday night cruise from 8pm to Midnight on the harbour. Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Monday after Los Angeles police say he physically assaulted a ride-share driver and made criminal threats.Officers responded just after midnight near Hollywood Hills and determined Sutherland entered the vehicle, struck the driver and verbally threatened the victim, who did not require medical treatment, the LAPD said.The 59-year-old star, best known for his role as Jack Bauer in 24, was booked and later released on a $50,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for February 2nd in Los Angeles County Superior Court.Sutherland has a history of legal issues, including prior alcohol-related arrests. Emmy-winning actor and director Timothy Busfield surrendered to Albuquerque authorities Tuesday after a warrant was issued on two counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor and one count of child abuse.Busfield, known for roles in The West Wing and Field of Dreams, turned himself in following the January 9th warrant tied to allegations that he inappropriately touched two 11-year-old boys he met while directing the TV series The Cleaning Lady.In a video obtained by media outlets, Busfield denied wrongdoing and vowed to fight the charges.The investigation, which began in 2024 after a doctor reported concerns, prompted internal inquiries by the show's producers and led NBC to pull an episode featuring Busfield. Trevor Noah will host the Grammys for a sixth -- and producers say, final -- time on February 1st.
