Stefanie Carlstedt is a Human Design Business Coach who helps entrepreneurs build businesses that actually fit who they are, not who the online world tells them to be. After building and losing a six-figure business by following one-size-fits-all strategies, Stef was forced to confront a hard truth: success with self abandonment isn't sustainable. Through Human Design, she discovered why burnout, inconsistency, and frustration weren't personal failures, but signs she was operating against her natural design. Now, Stef helps business owners uncover how they're uniquely wired to lead, market, make decisions, and grow in a way that feels clear, sustainable, and deeply personal. Her work bridges strategy and self-trust, helping entrepreneurs stop copying roadmaps and start building businesses that evolve with them. Stef is known for cutting through the noise with honesty, compassion, and practical insight, reminding entrepreneurs that the path is rarely linear and that the most powerful businesses are built from within. As World War II raged in North Africa, General Erwin Rommel was guided by an uncanny sense of his enemies' plans and weaknesses. In the summer of 1942, he led his Axis army swiftly and terrifyingly toward Alexandria, with the goal of overrunning the entire Middle East. Each step was informed by detailed updates on British positions. The Nazis, somehow, had a source for the Allies' greatest secrets. Yet the Axis powers were not the only ones with intelligence. Brilliant Allied cryptographers worked relentlessly at Bletchley Park, breaking down the extraordinarily complex Nazi code Enigma. From decoded German messages, they discovered that the enemy had a wealth of inside information. On the brink of disaster, a fevered and high-stakes search for the source began. In War of Shadows: Codebreakers, Spies, and the Secret Struggle to Drive the Nazis from the Middle East (Public Affairs, 2021), Gershom Gorenberg tells the cinematic story of the race for information in the North African theater of World War II, set against intrigues that spanned the Middle East. Years in the making, this book is a feat of historical research and storytelling, and a rethinking of the popular narrative of the war. It portrays the conflict not as an inevitable clash of heroes and villains but a spiraling series of failures, accidents, and desperate triumphs that decided the fate of the Middle East and quite possibly the outcome of the war. Gershom Gorenberg is a columnist for the Washington Post and a senior correspondent for the American Prospect, as well as an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Schneur Zalman Newfield is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Borough of Manhattan Community College, City University of New York, and the author of Degrees of Separation: Identity Formation While Leaving Ultra-Orthodox Judaism (Temple University Press, 2020). January 2026Rome: the 1930s, and the Italian secret services were having extraordinary success in reading the messages sent by rival countries' diplomats from their embassies in the ‘Eternal City'. With the road to World War Two still ahead, it was a time of significant geo-political tension. The Italian government was learning the secrets of countries such as Britain and France in order to gain an advantage in international affairs. This would continue after Italy joined the war in 1940, with substantial consequences for the campaign in North Africa. In this episode, we will hear how the Italians didn't succeed by using mathematicians or intellectuals, but with a rather more direct approach. David Kenyon, Bletchley Park's Research Historian, joins podcast producer Mark Cotton to reveal more. Our thanks go to Dr Ben Thompson for voicing our historical documents.Image: ©UK in Italy “Old British embassy with flag” CC BY-ND 2.0#BPark, #Bletchleypark, #WW2, #Enigma, #Italy,
